THIS VIDEO WAS ABSOLUTELY INTERESTING!!!!! MY COUSINS AND I GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SOME BACKGROUND DANCING FOR HAMMER IN 1994 WHEN HE CAME OUT WITH HIS HIT SONG " ITS ALL GOOD" AND THE FUNNY PART IS WE ACTUALLY HAD TO PRACTICE 13 HOURS FOR THAT ROUTINE AND WE WERE NOT PAID!!!! WE ACTUALLY GOT FREE McDONALD'S WE WERE SO DAM HAPPY
These was and still are my girls!!!!!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 We used to try our best to memorize all their routines as kids. It's a shame that they weren't properly taken care of and unfairly compensated for their hard work.
So all of this time we were deliberately mislead to believe that Hammer went bankrupt because he took care of his entire crew for years and it’s not true? Say it ain’t so!
Hammer was actually getting sued left and right for refusing to pay ANYONE. He was living in that mansion while everyone else was still living in apartments or with their parents. Karma came for his black ass lol
Thanks so much for the shout out and acknowledgment to our show. Most people never give credit or even mention us when the get info from our interviews but y’all did. We appreciate a company with integrity. Thanks so much. By the way Sweet LD is an amazing person.
it made no sense. like we hear how hammer paid his later crew /dancers like $35,000 a year this was like 1991 money too so he couldn't afford to pay them at least $10,000 a year or somehing?
@@joeswanson733 I just added it up. 60k x $5 a tape (if that was the charge) would’ve been 300k that year. That was damn good money in ‘88 just selling out the trunk. That’s the equivalent of over 700k in 2022. He definitely could’ve paid those girls. But Hammer got “balanced” as time went by. He was on top of the world one year and a broke, laughing-stock the next. That’s why I always try to do right by people: I’d rather pay now than pay later. 🤷🏽♀️
This is one I was waiting for. .. 3 5 7, I thought they would have been in the industry with B Angie B she killed the chorus on juicy, got'em craazy 😍🙌🏾 and their dance moves killed the video 😆😅
Thanks so much for putting this video together, I speak to Sweet L.D. over the phone sometimes, I know she will be so happy to see this, matter of fact I sent her the link 😆 She is one of the nicest ladies you could ever know! Her version of this story is always consistent!
You are 100% correct ! Was there in the studio from the jump with them in Vallejo, T, Sweet , and P and Dante were C O O L as ice ! Kent , Ken, Radeem also were very C O O L and down for you and approachable. When you speak to Sweet LD, let her know,JE cuz said hello and God blessings to her and her fam.
Don't forget BBD's back-up dancers,Truth Hurts. They were GOOD too !!! And at least they got PAID !!! And treated very well by BBD,in an interview the dancers said they SPOILED by BBD.
When I see Hanmer I just think of how the 90s were so up and down. Early 90s he was on top of the world but it came crashing down fast. By the mid 90s he was considered a joke. Only for Puffy to come in and basically steal his style but put his own little spin on it.
Many thanks for this video and backstory. These girls kicked butt back in the day with their rap, dance routines and unique style. They deserved much more than they got. It’s sad to learn the truth sometimes but explains a lot and helps answer open questions like what ever happened to them? Would also love to see a video for ‘Queen of Dance’ B Angie B. She could sing AND dance, in a category all her own. There are a few good live performances of her on YT but her best live was on the BET special ‘BET Coca Cola Summer of Stars,’ which aired once and hasn’t surfaced since. B Angie B is best known for her huge hit cover of The Emotions ‘I Don’t Want To Lose Your Love,’ also killed in the ballad ‘So Much Love.’ She toured and sang and danced for Hammer and on Oaktown’s 357’s ‘Juicy Gotcha Krazy’ (her dancing in that video!) She also sang on One Cause One Effect’s ‘Midnite Lover’ and is featured in that video. Also check out her dancing in the video for ‘Class Act.’ She sang the title track from that movie. I believe she may have been treated similarly as Oaktown 357, as in under paid or not paid. It’s a shame what could have been for these talents, with proper treatment and good management, with proper compensation and a lot less greed.
Well this is.......something. The last Hammer video was so positive. Assuming even some of this is true, it definitely paints him in a slightly different light. And wasn't one of his money issues that he had way too many people on his "staff"? So he paid people that were doing behind the scene jobs, but didn't pay some of the most visible people in his entourage?
Yea this definitely makes me look at him funny. I guess the people who he was paying behind the scenes were the ones verbally abusing all the dancers and creating the hostile work environment..
Danielle,Hammer should've back-payed them girls when tha money started rolling in !!! I view Hammer in an entirely different light now,I have no respect for him now. What a dirty,low-down,greedy;selfish prick he was.
He likely was paying the security and paying folks who would be there to boss people around. That song he put out years later called “Keep On” was dedicated to those type of folks. But when they were treating the people who were backing Hammer up as dancers and hype men, it was all good, no pun intended. Mmkay.
The music industry is very cold and evil. Hammer was wrong af for how he tried those girls . He knew what he was doing having him dance for only him cause if they went somewhere else they would have realized connections are important in any field and they would have been valued and respected thru human decency and thru money . Janet would have payed them
Definitely!!! Smh this is insane. I wonna say human greed is Monstrous and can't be satisfied. Every one made money accept the the actual talented artist.
Thank you for this video. I was born 89'. This is my first time hearing about his dancers. 💕 I hope they are happy and doing well where ever they are.💕🙏💕

It's crazy to think Hammer had about 200 people alone on his payroll for just personal staffing(chefs, maids, security, etc.) but NONE of the dancers were even on that list to be paid for their performances & all their hard work, as well as their direct dedication to him, for such a long period of time. Damn Karma got at Hammer, all these years I thought it was because he was paying too much people and that they were using him damn shame. I couldn't had that much patience not getting paid I would had been quit and danced for someone else. It sucks because they missed out on other major opportunities like dancing for Janet
How could he not pay the dancers when he was paying those 50 or so other people he had around him on those tours? After all that sweat, all that energy output on stage. Hammer had a virtual army in his entourage.
This was a really sad and messed up experience those poor women had to go through. One thing is for sure, many people in the entertainment (especially music) industry can not be labeled a friend. Newcomers to the industry have to learn how to examine and weed out shady characters with an agenda who don't have their best interest at heart.

Its sad too beacuse he really could've given opportunities and have everyone eat and be successful smh so much potential oddly enough he could've had a longer and better run if he was humble .
That money ran right threw his hands. Told everybody he was paying too many people. He is a lie. Blew that money all by his selfish azz greedy azz self.
Right
Bad juju !!!
Right took the words right out my mouth
Dang Janet would had change they life ugh
Right smh 357 702 Swv Xscape TLC wow woman groups was amazing
I would’ve been out for blood had I found out y’all Told Janet Jackson “no” on my behalf. FOH
😂😂 ok we bout to rumble!
Can’t believe they cut the ladies off from meeting an dancing wit Janet 😮 that’s just so totally wrong an jealous of who ever stop it from happening. We all know Janet would of paid them well. Sad 😞
Thanks for another post. I remember them in the late 80s. I was an 8th grader when I watch Hammer's first video, "Let's Get It Started"! Then in the fall of 1989, I checked Oaktown 3.5.7 first video. Back in the days, they're BADASS!
These girls was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 back in the days... What went behind close door was kept quite for a long time. It was sad that they had to go through that type abuse.
I remember them. They were 🔥. And I love the way the they danced. They tore it up.
I remember 2 Big MC saying, "Hammer is just like crime....HE DON'T PAY !!"
Thank you for gathering this information for us🙌🏾 I never really knew what happened but it all makes since now…coming from a 40 year old black woman born and raised in Oakland Cali ♥️🌳#TheTown #510
Well once again we always know there's always two sides to every story I remember hearing about this years ago and I really really have respect for MC Hammer because I really thought that he was paying everybody in his Entourage and now that I hear this I can't act like I'm surprised but this is just the way the industry is everything may look good on the outside but we have to always remember we don't see everything on the inside behind closed doors so now that I know I feel bad for anybody that put in hard work and get their lives shut down by greedy people this really explains why things didn't really pan out for MC Hammer yes he had a good career but when you do wrong by the people that are loyal to you your world will come crashing down all I can do is smh👎👎👎
Oh wow
that McDonald's hits different after 13 hours of rehearing and not getting paid
@ YES!!!! THAT PART!!!!
These was and still are my girls!!!!!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 We used to try our best to memorize all their routines as kids. It's a shame that they weren't properly taken care of and unfairly compensated for their hard work.
Seeing 3-5-7 for the first time is a moment I’ll never forget. Changed my life forever
I definitely can respect his legacy but if he was guna stunt their growth the LEAST he couldve done is pay them..🤦🏾♀️
Yep! They got screwed all the way around.. They could've been on the level of Salt n Pepa, they were just as good!
Yep you right about that…💪🏻💪🏻😄
So all of this time we were deliberately mislead to believe that Hammer went bankrupt because he took care of his entire crew for years and it’s not true? Say it ain’t so!
That's what I'm saying ‼️😭
I remember the media talking about His spending habits, probably a combination of both
Help but not then
Hammer was actually getting sued left and right for refusing to pay ANYONE.
Damn!! They had to "work it out" so how were they getting paid? How did they eat? Hammer should truly be ashamed of himself!!😖😡
it made no sense. like we hear how hammer paid his later crew /dancers like $35,000 a year this was like 1991 money too so he couldn't afford to pay them at least $10,000 a year or somehing?
@@joeswanson733
I think that’s when he “started” to pay people. I don’t think he was paying folks before that.
@@CodyCole80 that's what's messed up. He was making good money selling records out of his trunk by 1988 he could at least pay 357 at least $5/hr
@@joeswanson733 💯✅💯
@@joeswanson733
I just added it up. 🤷🏽♀️
They need a "Drink Champs" episode.
I don’t think nore knows who they are
Soul Train’s UA-cam channel did a video on them a few months ago. Very good and enlightening.
@@Mekoflyy Aww thanks for the reply, I sure will!!
@@Mekoflyy She mentioned James and Jaques Earley... Are they your cousins?

@@fatonyalmitchell3281 I sure will, I will reach out to her today, I promise
Karma is what took Hammer down
Agree
Yep!!! Karma's a bitch and God don't like ugly!!!
Juicy Gotcha Krazy was the jam back then! 😂
yes!!
Yess love that song
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯 🎯
That STILL gets play in my old school rotation lol
Special Generation! I have been trying to remember the name of this band for decades. I completely forgot they were with Hammer.
Yeah Hammer screwed them over also
They don't get enough credit n recognition they help paved the way as well love their music 🎶🎼🎶🎼❤️❤️
Thanks for watching!
MC Hammer always has the best backup dancers.....💯💯💯
Oaktown's 357 was...🔥🔥🔥
Don't forget BBD's back-up dancers,Truth Hurts. They were GOOD too !!! And at least they got PAID !!! And treated very well by BBD,in an interview the dancers said they SPOILED by BBD.
@@powerbad696 Yeah I remember them bro...Those BBD dancers could move... I'm glad they got paid and were treated well...💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
@@truthhurtz8517 Me too.
@@powerbad696 💯💯💯
Don't forget the Mecca Girls who danced behind Bobby, Michael Jackson, Father MC, etc. They were good, too.
When I see Hanmer I just think of how the 90s were so up and down. Early 90s he was on top of the world but it came crashing down fast. By the mid 90s he was considered a joke. Only for Puffy to come in and basically steal his style but put his own little spin on it.
Puffy and Kirk Franklin!
You definitely said a word right here 😮💨
But hammer still Rich in 2022
And puffy didn't pay his people either
Puffy's music was better written and produced resulting in longevity in the industry.
Please do a video featuring B Angie B.
Yas 👏
Karma served a *hard* fall... In front of the *entire* world.
I've been waiting on someone to do a video on them thanks! they could really dance dance, definitely should be recognized more.
B Angie B is best known for her huge hit cover of The Emotions ‘I Don’t Want To Lose Your Love,’ also killed in the ballad ‘So Much Love.’
She toured and sang and danced for Hammer and on Oaktown’s 357’s ‘Juicy Gotcha Krazy’ (her dancing in that video!) She also sang on One Cause One Effect’s ‘Midnite Lover’ and is featured in that video.
We weren’t aware of this when we made the first video 😫
Yea this definitely makes me look at him funny. I guess the people who he was paying behind the scenes were the ones verbally abusing all the dancers and creating the hostile work environment..
He didn't pay the black women but threated his Homies well. Men only open their purse to women they sleep with.
Mmkay.
I’ve been waiting on a video about them!! Let’s go RRG!! 🙌
❤️❤️❤️
Same here
The music industry is very cold and evil. Hammer was wrong af for how he tried those girls . He knew what he was doing having him dance for only him cause if they went somewhere else they would have realized connections are important in any field and they would have been valued and respected thru human decency and thru money . Janet would have payed them
Well said J. I relayed the samethings you said in another comment section.
Definitely!!! Smh this is insane. I wonna say human greed is Monstrous and can't be satisfied. Every one made money accept the the actual talented artist.
Well if you wanna know the truth look up the amazing singing mc breeze
Truth
Facts. But karma caught up with Hammers career.
RRG be working!
The women always get swept under the rug and left outta the conversation smh. These ladies were 🔥
2 Big MC was one of the best hype men. He hyped the heck out of Hammer!
🤣💯
Thank you for this video. I was born 89'. This is my first time hearing about his dancers. 💕 I hope they are happy and doing well where ever they are.💕🙏💕
Glad you checked this out! You missed a great era of Hiphop.
Thanks for watching!
@@titanjake8640 not really, you know by the time a kid is 4or 5 they like you and i hear 👂 music by the time you are 8 to 10 you are dancing to it and learning the names of the artists and listen to them on the radio in the car around people playing the music and also turning on the radio or playing music around your kiddie friends your self and vise versa , hope this answer helped..😄😄😄
It's crazy to think Hammer had about 200 people alone on his payroll for just personal staffing(chefs, maids, security, etc.) but NONE of the dancers were even on that list to be paid for their performances & all their hard work, as well as their direct dedication to him, for such a long period of time. Just wild yo...
The early 1990s were not a normal period in US Dance history at all.
I am amazed that MC Hammer is still with us for the year 2022.
MC Hammer was really crazy back in the early 1990s.
No one knew that the First Gulf war would begin in January 1991.
The Girls should sue him in court for breach of Contract for the 2020s
This is Horrendous a DAMN DISGRACE ugh
you couldn't tell me I was NOT IN 357! 🤣🤣 I had the whole yeah yeah yeah outfit and knew all the 357 and Hammer video routines! I know today if you put on any of these videos I still know the routines!
Thats disturbing...i always thought hammer was one of the few artist who took care of his artist, I thought that was one of his downfalls being the guy who gave to much to help his fellow Oakland homies and people so this come as a complete surprise...never would have thought this
Truth
Let's not forget about the Oakland Police department 🤨
What’s done in the dark always comes to the light !!
Don't play "Juicy got em crazy" around my mama LMAO
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was 17 when this came out
The narrator mentioned the club called Silk's. When I was in the Navy back in the late 80's, sometimes my ship would pull into San Fran and some of my shipmates used to party at Silk's. I couldn't go at the time because i was too young(under 21).
This is beautifully done!!! Thank you for this lesson
Glad you enjoyed it!
These ladies were 🔥🔥. Hip hop royalty. Happy they were finally honored.
So much stuff we as fans don't know about what goesI on behind the scenes. Feel so bad for these talented women. Between this story and how some members of Tony Toni Tone did their fellow band members...smh.
Ironically both acts were from Oakland.
I couldn’t listen to any of their music, but I sure liked watching them dance. 😍No female artists came close to their level of energy (except maybe B Angie B)
sweet ld has been one of my dearest facebook friends for the last 7 years... there isn't a week i don't speak with her... she is one of the sweetest and humblest and kindest human beings i have ever known... if she says this is what happened... you can take it to the bank... but i guarantee you.,.. she didn't let it slow her down not one iota...she is living her life to the fullest...
I’m beginning to see the same pattern with a lot of these large organisations where financial and physical abuse has always taken place. The industry is very wicked and unfortunate for many. So happy the ladies are still standing 🙏🏾
Brilliant video as always RRG👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💐
357 are legends!!! These ladies were awesome dancers and I hate they were misused.
B Angie B's song So much love is one of my all time favorite slow jams.
Right when I gave him praise in your other upload. He needs to apologize and pay them to make it right.
But who willingly works for free for that long? 🤔

Wow, thanks so much for this video! I made a comment on the Hammer video you posted a few days ago, talking about how I wondered what Oaktown 357 was up to, and BOOM, two days later, here's the video!! Lol I appreciate it!
YEAH!!! I've been waiting on this. 👏🏼
Babbbyyy I LOVED me some Oaktown 357 & B Angie B! I was in front of the TV dancing EVERYTIME Juicy came on. Their outfits & hair was ALWAYS on point.
#MEMORIES
Thanks for watching!
I use to love them and B Angie B (anything on her?) growing up. Them girls were jammin! You were right by saying they stood out.
Wow!!! I felt very sorry for Hammer and his bankruptcy back then as he was taking care of his crew and now years later didn't take care if Oaktown 357 who started with him and enhanced his career. Hammer should have paid 357 for their hard work and dedication for his success but Karma hunted Hammer later on and he lost millions . Thanks for posting this video.💯😊🤔
The ladies always seem to get the sh•t end of the stick while being in the industry. She must prove herself to be respected or dumb down for disrespect. Honestly the ladies probably shoulda sued Hammer but they woulda been last in line to probably receive what was left because he got in over his head financially.
Exactly
Natalie, they did sue Hammer, also recieved a settlement. It's mentioned in the video.
Truth Indeed Ugh
The narrator of these videos is soooo funny and I love the shade… So entertaining!
😂😘
I miss them and those dance moves. They inspired me to dance.
Lil P was the most skilled rapper out of the three. She’s all over their first album
That being said Terrible T was my absolute favorite
🤔 I don't think I ever heard Lil P rap. I may check it out.
I remember them!! I always wanted to know what happened to these talented ladies 🥰🥰🥰 glad to see they're doing good
I remember them , they was a good little group ,they should have been bigger then what they were. The should have been manger better in my opinion becasue they had talent.
We agree!
Agree also
I agree 🤩 I loved them as a group
Exactly
Listen…I still have 357 in my workout playlist.
Thanks for another great episode definitely learned a few things that I didn't know the music business is just full of ups and downs heartaches you definitely have to be strong
Hammer was always so handsome. 😍 great video! I remember these dancers.
Thanks for watching!
Thank yu fr this. I loved these ladies. They are still on my playlist
Damn Karma got at Hammer, all these years I thought it was because he was paying too much people and that they were using him damn shame. I couldn't had that much patience not getting paid I would had been quit and danced for someone else. It sucks because they missed out on other major opportunities like dancing for Janet
Yep. What you put out in the Universe comes back to you.
Hammer paid others in his camp. Why not Oaktown 357??? 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️
Allegedly! 😂
I don’t think he was paying other folks much either. 😐
I thought he paid all his folks. That's how it was presented. I guess when he put the whole hood on it didn't include 357.
Thanks for sharing their story. I love your channel.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
That’s why his raggedy azz went super broke and unless someone brings him up (which rarely happens), he is forgotten! 😆🧘🏾♀️
I remember way back in 1990 there was talk that these ladies weren't being paid. What a shame. So this is nothing new to me.
I remember them when I was a little kid. I loved them!!!!
YES!!!!... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING TO MY INQUIRIES UPON THIS ICONIC GROUP CONNECTED TO MC HAMMER! 👍
