I am now convinced that the destruction of our good artist and their music were 100% deliberate , the same old story being told over and over again, look at where we are now in terms of quality and substance, in fact take a good look at those they use to do the dirty job .... shameful , sucking the life out our people like a vampire !!
It's crazy how history can shape your perspective because I was introduced to Jade from "I Wanna Love U" through the movie in Class Act. Come to find out, Don't Walk Away was their biggest hit. I also think that any and all "marketing" costs should be approved by the artist(s) BEFORE anything is spent since it is coming out of their record sales revenue on the backend. Maybe that's wishful thinking tho
Jade, Brownstone, 702, Blaque, the list goes on. A group of females cannot get along. What female group has been around for an extended period of time? Is there a female version of The O'Jays, Frankie Beverly & Maze or The Manhattans?
TLC and SWV have both been around for an extended period of time. After Left Eye’s passing in 2002 T-Boz and Chilli took breaks here and there but they never actually broke up. SWV broke up in 1998 but they reunited in 2005 and been together ever since. Both groups have been touring nonstop for the last 15+ years not to mention the album TLC released in 2017 and the 2 albums SWV released in 2012 and 2016. SWV also did 2 reality shows and is about to start filming a new one with Xscape next week which Kandi stated today. I’m impressed with both groups and they never replaced any members either. En Vogue had a good run too with Rhona but everyone prefers the original 4 which unfortunately I doubt will ever happen. They may reunite with Dawn and Maxine for specials but that’s about it.
@@truelife974 The O'Jays lost members of their group and continued to make music. So did the Manhattans. Death is a daily part of life. Men groups deal with it. Women groups don't.
Considering what we have seen about this industry I’m only disheartened that instead of going after the music label, they are going against each other. It is sad and I wish with they could come together instead of tearing each other apart.
Seems that every group that is thrown together can't seem to make it work. I am glad that SWV emerged as my favorite group out of all the groups of the 90's. They had their drama, but they are still together with the original members, making new music, are legends and headlining shows still around the world. Goes to show that not growing organically can be your downfall along with label issues.
AYEEEEEE 🥳🥳 HEYYYYY RRG BESTIES! Right on timeeeeee! I had a feeling y’all were gonna post today. I loved me some Jade!!! Don’t Walk Away is FOREVER a BOP! 🔥 One of my ex gf’s & I had a dance battle to it a few years ago. Of course I won. 🤣🤣🤣
This truly saddens me. I follow Di Reed on IG & when I heard about Jade being on the 90’s throwback tour I was EXCITED! I noticed that Di didn’t mention the tour on her IG page before news of the news dropped, but I chopped it up to there possibly being a confidentiality agreement. However, when I saw everyone BUT Di was apart of “Jade” I was floored… & of course everybody was questioning Di’s on her IG about it. She said she “wasn’t invited” to perform with Jade & that’s when I KNEW there had to be some internal issues 😔. I hope they can make amends. They really help define a great era!
Jade was 🔥. I don’t understand why there still beefin. They messin up the bag. Drop the Lawsuits get the group back 2gether and tell miracle whip 2 kick rocks….
Man, I'm an 80s kid but I'd still kill to return to the mid-90s. I used to think SWV and Jade were the same group (Don't ask), but One Woman was my jam. There was this friend of my sisters who LOVED these girls, and when the 54321 video came out she started copying their crop tops and braids. I always thought they were better than SWV (The only song of theirs I like is Weak) and wondered why Jade disappeared, but I hope they can sort their issues.
When I think about it I must have obviously favorite Jade over SWV is well because I had the live album the first album and my friend had the 3rd so I knew it. I still listen to Jade to the max today and the live album to help work on my own vocals and keep them up. I believe that's why I prefer SWV second album because that's the one with Lele and Taj actually singing lead on.
So you felt the need to diss SWV to make Jade seem better? Well who's still standing 28 million records sold later, with the original members and headlining shows full of HITS?
I’m just going to sit this here...Jade has better vocals because Coko’s voice leading isn’t that great..Lelee should’ve led because her voice is better Just because a group is still “relevant” doesn’t make them better
Wow, this is sad. They remind me of En Vogue especially with the drama. They inspired me to rock box braids as a teen and "Don't Walk Away " was popping 😘
The 90s were on FIRE for r&b groups !!! There were sooo many groups, the record labels flooded the mafket with them. And black sitcoms were all the rage too in the 90s.
Oh my God! I kid you not I was just watching their video for don’t walk away just this morning when working out. Wow. What a coincidence. Always wondered what happened to them. Jade was a good group that could have gone far but……Thanks for this video. And please tell us when you about to drop a video so I can get some RRG snacks. ❤️
Di looks awesome!! She was in DJ Cassisy's Throwback 90s show, representing Jade all by herself.. she was dope!! I enjoyed it. Too bad the original girls were not there to do it with her. She represented very well tho.. and she sounds awesome 👌
If all three original Members are listed on and own the JADE Trademark..Whether she performs with them or not she is entitled as one of the original Members to a percentage of revenue from the group performamces..They seemingly did not want her to rejoin the trio..For whatever reasons...so they hired a talented stand in..She's still apart of the original group and the name they performing under and using collecting and making money under that name.... ..Now if the two women from that group... started a new group with the talented stand in. Created a New Singing Trio..Gave the New group a New Name altogether....They could go on and perform under that New group Name. Everywhere they go Performing as JADE under a Trademark she equally own too..even without her... They might as well just write her a Check..
@DebraMitchellAdamsrealtor Di my girl and all but Joi and Tonya reached out to her TWICE to form that group again! She kept using being on tour with Rod Stewart as an excuse! So now she in her feelings because they moved on! Then she sings on stage with SWV. Both groups had beef with each other back in the 90's but now Di and Coko BFF, how convenient!
It is very disturbing that every time you turn around there's a group or an artist that has been screwed by record labels it is so sad because they spend all their time working to make beautiful music rehearsing buddyman many hours to go on these tours and we all know it's amazing when you finally reach your dream Ali to get snubbed by these trifling music companies it's been going on for years and years I just simply don't understand how they can do people like that who work hard go on these tours doing all these shows I dont understand why they don't see a dime man real tak f××k them RC that treat they're artists like s*** please excuse my language but it's just frustrating to see and hear about groups and artists that get screwed🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿✝️✝️✝️
You don’t sign your name without reading . You don’t sign a whole contract with out a lawyer going over it. You don’t make HUge life decisions without going over it. A lot of these artists did that and got messed up contracts ,sad but you have to be careful
Honestly, I'd take "I Wanna Love You Down" over "Don't Walk Away" anyday. Just my preference. However, it's sad that this feud is still going on after 30 yrs.
Wow.. so unfortunate they’re beefing among each other. Jade had the talent and potential to have longer careers, awful they were screwed over.. That first album is a 90’s banger, love their remake of song “Blessed”. Which is a classic by my favorite girl group The Emotions. I hope the ladies can eventually work out their differences, best of luck to them!
Thats so crazy I love this group when I was a kid and am from the same city as them and never even knew what hppend to the group, women groups get done so wrong in the industry but I make sure my artist get everything they earned and deserve.
That song Don't Walk Away, is a classic that has left a forever imprint in the urban American culture and the youth are reliving the experience 40 years later. I hope they are getting the compensation they deserve.
It's a shame how these groups end up beefing after having a form of success and then usually the label is doing shady things, but they want to go against each other... SMH
Wow !!! I grew up on Jade as a matter of fact I was just listening to that song don't walk away the other day. I did not know that they had so many issues going on a monks each other. I hope that the three original members can work it out and eventually bring us a new project
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! I will be doing this for my first time this afternoon in the cold ❄️🥶!😂🤣. You have eased my mind and I appreciate the confidence you are giving EVERYONE. You are a BLESSING😊😎
It’s such a shame that these record companies take advantage of these vulnerable artists. Yes, we can say they should read their contracts, but they may not have the legal understanding and they might also be desperate and see this as an opportunity for a way out.
I feel sorry for anyone who wasn’t old enough to really feel the early 90’s, it was such a Vibe. The music style was all new and it changed the sound of black musics 💕💕
I don't think they want us to have music like this anymore. It was too great. That's the only reason I can see why it doesn't exist anymore. 80s and 90s music is literally all I listen to.
As soon as you talked about them not seeing a dime I thought about 50 whe he said the little money he did get after all the debt was settled to the industry he had to flip in the streets, we witnessed that with TLC too and many others. The industry is wicked that's while I am for artist going independent. It's unfortunate they couldn't settle differences and forge ahead.
One of the most underrated female acts of the last few decades. Super talented...all 3 could lead, however Di and Joi were the more powerful singers in the group. I always thought Di had the best overall voice of the trio. Its a shame things went the way they did. Female groups are better when they start organically....maybe that's the case for any group. There needs to be some foundation beyond the group itself, that holds them together when times get rough. Otherwise, this will happen.
Sounds to me like Tanya was being kinda messy. She was working with Joi with no problem, but told Di that she DIDN'T want to work with Joi anymore?? Hmm 🤔
Oh Wow. Jade was my favorite female group back then. "Don't Walk Away" was it for me. I still search 4 it to this day. Love that song. I hope they can get it together!💕
They are having problems just like En Vogue...SMH. Sidenote: Joi of Jade always reminded me of Terry Ellis of En Vogue, in an evil twin sister sort of way.
Jade should be out here touring with the other R&B groups . From the 90's ! It's obvious their fans still love them . And would like to see them doing what they do AGAIN 🥰💝👍
It isn't that hard just reconcile and work together again, you all can easily contact to fight and sue, might as well contact to be a three or even four piece group, I'm sure all your lawyers would still listen just the same.
OMG, I just found my Jade tape from childhood and thought, "I wonder whatever happened to them. I wonder of Real Reality Gossip has done a video on them," and then I see this video pop up on UA-cam. Such great timing!😀
As a member of the 90s R&B group A Few Good Men. I can feel this story I’m the only original member who’s still out here with two new members doing the old songs tonight have I never and our Christmas song Silver bells
Seems to me that root of their issues is management. I don't think they've had any REAL contact with each other. Di certainly could've taken that trademark and formed another trio if she was being shady. These ladies need to drop whatever management they have and sit down and talk to each other.
It's really a shame because Jade has been in my playlist for the last 8 years I had to bring all of the '90s back listening to Christopher Williams, Shai, Keith Sweat and all of the girl groups from back then
I can vividly remember being woken up to this album. All the songs off jade to the max are embedded in my memory. I loved this group so much and hate that they are in the state that they are in.

@@QueenK88 I talk to Di personally. Tanya was in talks with Di to start back singing and touring but wanted to leave Joi out. Then she went behind Di’s back and booked shows with Joi & Myracle.
“Rrg “with the good commentaries teaching younger folks like me a thing or two . Hope you start doing interviews with these folks soon . The Music industry has a lot of menacing tactics that tear friends, family ,and love ones apart . Then again you got to stay strong when hit with adversaries.
Thanks for watching!
Di’s voice made this group 🤔 and no one can replace her.
This was so sad to hear. I love those ladies!! DON'T WALK AWAY is a cookout jam.
❤❤
Right
Know what you’re getting yourself into. So many people sign these “slave” deals without knowing the details or having someone else look over it.
I wondered why Di performed alone on pass the mic. Such a shame because I really liked their style and music. Thanks RRG ❤️
Me too
Same.....
I heard the others were not contacted
@@sonyaholley4963 they wasn’t. They been performing without Di.
"When you hear that record scratch, you know things are about to get messy." 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
"One Woman Man" is my jam!!! Sad to see what happened to the ladies....
I wasn't aware of Blaque having any real problems. They lost a member of their group which I'm sure has presented challenges with producing new music.
@@truelife974 The O'Jays lost members of their group and continued to make music. So did the Manhattans. Death is a daily part of life. Men groups deal with it. Women groups don't.
Destiny’s Child dummy
Tlc/ swv/xscape..well I'm not sure about escape though
Considering what we have seen about this industry I’m only disheartened that instead of going after the music label, they are going against each other. It is sad and I wish with they could come together instead of tearing each other apart.
Seems that every group that is thrown together can't seem to make it work. I am glad that SWV emerged as my favorite group out of all the groups of the 90's. They had their drama, but they are still together with the original members, making new music, are legends and headlining shows still around the world. Goes to show that not growing organically can be your downfall along with label issues.
#TEAMSWV in the house! Word!
Love SWV as well. My girls!
SWV's drama isn't that messy, Coko only wanted more pay because she spent more time in the studio.
that's the nature of human beings . they just can't be around each other specifically women. Women will always hate each other.
We need footage of that dance battle! 👀😂
@@rrg LMFAOOOOO I soooo wish it was caught on camera! It was a good battle. 🤣🤣 I’ll do another one just for my RRG besties 🥳🥳
However,
when I saw everyone BUT Di was apart of “Jade” I was floored… & of course everybody was questioning Di’s on her IG about it.
I was also that girl growing up like your friend.
@@sirblack1619 Who says I'm dissing them? It's like the Backstreet Boys and Nsync - both are great groups, but one is better.
I’m just going to sit this here...Jade has better vocals because Coko’s voice leading isn’t that great..Lelee should’ve led because her voice is better
Just because a group is still “relevant” doesn’t make them better
Wow, this is sad. They remind me of En Vogue especially with the drama. They inspired me to rock box braids as a teen and "Don't Walk Away " was popping 😘
This is why people must learn about the music industry as much as u can.
Thanks for this I remember them when I was a teenager back in the 90's.
You're welcome bestie! We hope you enjoy the video ❤️

Di looks awesome!! She was in DJ Cassisy's Throwback 90s show, representing Jade all by herself.. she was dope!! I enjoyed it. Too bad the original girls were not there to do it with her. She represented very well tho.. and she sounds awesome 👌
They are still one of my favorite groups. I hope they will be able to find a resolution and continue making music.
Finally! this was my fav group and their 1st album was fire. It is sad so many years later they are suing each other, I hope they can reconcile
We hope so too
That summer tour sounds like it was 🔥🔥🔥!!! I know I’ve seen them live before, but don’t know if I made that one
Their song Don't Walk Away is still my jam. I'm sorry to hear they're going through all this. Smh.🤦🏾♀️

Crazy, I lived next door to Joy. She used to try to teach me how to sing. And I know Myracle. Both wonderful ladies. I hope they all work this out.

She should write them a check too then since she’s performed shows under the name with 2 background singers.
@@DebLTaylor yeah..you are right..

I was JUST thinking about this group the other day! I was a 90s kid listening to Jade. Gonna tune in after work 👀
We hope you enjoy it!
This had to be my favorite group growing up!!! And them BEVERLY HILLS 90210 features were EVERYTHING! They had so much potential ❤
Facts
Wow.. so unfortunate they’re beefing among each other.
SMH
Whew Chile I 💕 jade don't walk away will ALWAYS be on my Uber eclectic playlist! Another Gr8 1 RRG Thanks so much for this 👏🏿🥰💯

That was nice of Di to include Tanya & Joi in the trademark its sad they couldnt figure it out and work it out

I don't think they want us to have music like this anymore. It was too great. That's the only reason I can see why it doesn't exist anymore. 80s and 90s music is literally all I listen to.
I can’t wait till y’all hit 1M. Love all these videos on our favorite artists and couples
I loved Jade! Will you do a video of En Vogue and Brownstone?! 🙏🙏
We have a Brownstone video: ua-cam.com/video/9b54pH-0fkw/v-deo.html ❤️
Brownstone,I forgot about them !!! LOL.
I forgot about this group. Jade was very underrated group. It’s a shame what happened to them like kut klose situation.

I thought I was the only one. She’d fit right in with Terry Ellis & Holly Robinson.

I LOVED Jade!!! Hiii RRG!! ❤️
Hi bestie!
THIS!!!
@RealRealityGossip your voice is so soothing you can keep someone's spirit lifted and calm.
They need to get it together asap
Tonya looks different now. 🤔
We noticed 👀🤣
Tonya has her real hair and the other 2 have a fake hair weave on. 🙃
OMG I loved them. Y'all been on a roll lately. I was a big Jade fan. But like the others of the 90s they disappeared.
My sister was high school friends with Joi. Yeah, she made no money. Industry is very grimey.
I had a crush on Tanya during the summer of ‘93 when I was 12. She still looks good. I hope that they can settle their differences and get back to making beautiful music. Jade To The Max!!
