In the meantime , Babyface wasn't interested in writing for Usher because he and LA was parting ways. LA signed Usher and regarded Usher as his artist . . Babyface thought LA was snaking him on the publishing, production credits and other things at the label. So Babyface gave Tevin Campbell two songs he had written for Usher namely I'm Ready and Can We Talk because he wanted nothing to do with LA and the label anymore .
