I'm 18 and grew up in a time where school teachers were open about their queerness, I can remember my science teacher in tenth grade had a husband he was very open with the class about, and I am infinitely grateful for that. Growing up bi and trans felt very isolating, and it was really nice to see happy lgbt adults living their lives. There's no indoctrination, people just exist. I find it so funny people cry about it. Visibly queer people are amazingly brave for taking shit from people like Ben, much love to them.

I think in that kids should just be left out of learning any sort of LGBT matters until they are older. They also don’t need to be learning about straight marriage and sex matters either. I think it is ok to have a gay couple or teacher around kids as long as they aren’t making that the focus of school. Also kids right now whether you like it or not are being indoctrinated into being trans and LGBT especially trans. I just think it should be taught later in high school and not talked about so much to young kids because they are very impressionable. I do believe there is science behind there being trans and gay but it should be taught later when teens can actually figure themselves out.
Maybe they don't want someone teaching their kids about sex, which is frankly creepy and disgusting. But oh well nowadays sexuality and pronouns Bs is more important than wars,world hunger and poverty

So I know a bit about discrimination in the workplace and hiring thanks to this project I had to do, and it is in fact illegal to discriminate against potential or existing employees based on factors such as “race, sexuality, perceived gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.” in the US, there’s a lot more information on this subject at eeoc if you’d like to know more :D

The whole argument of “The woke left infiltrating schools to indoctrinate kids” is so fucking funny to me. Growing up in a conservative part of California, I definitely didn’t have any “woke” teachers (woke wasn’t really a thing back then) but, I did have Republican politician Devin Nunez hold several assemblies at my pre-k - 8th school to convince kids(!!!) why he should be voted for.
not to mention colonization is literally the biggest form of indoctrination and still happens to this day lol. in america, we literally have the christian religion in our pledge of allegiance AND on our currency. not to mention all of us grew up with 0 representation and still ended up gay.

Finding a good identity, is like finding a lid for a jar in a sea of jar lids
where you're told to not even question if the lid is misfitting in the first place when there's randomized variables that go into what jar you start with and IF that jar works with the Lid. So of course it's going to change, and the rate of that change depends of how accessible we make it try on other lids ( labels if you will) . So the pace is not the matter, but how smooth,safe and comfortable we can make it for people to find the right lid that works. And boy oh boys there is alot, so as long as we don't discourage looking through the lids, we can make it quicker and healthier to getting the right kid and making it fit. Hopefully this analogy will make it easier for people to explain to other people why people can change through so many identities.

I actually hate what Shapiro said about not negotiating with a kid throwing a tantrum being the first rule of parenting. Like, I hate most of what he says, but that specifically bugs me. From my own experience as a child: if a child, especially a normally well-behaved child, is throwing a tantrum and screaming and crying about something because they don't want to do it then, crazy thought //but maybe there is a reason// (kinda like, uhhhhhh people being upset in internet 'debates' about social justice where they just want basic rights and some human decency. Something about the performance that Ben always puts on in these reaction/commentary videos is genuinely hilarious to me because he's overacting so much? Like he really wants people to think he's funny. And the fact that it doesn't work and that he's trying so hard to get the attention and validation from fellow conservatives (as well as the reaction from his targets) he clearly desperately needs is ironically what makes him funny to me. Like I laugh at him instead of with him and for everything but the reasons he wants me to. It's kinda impressive ngl
