I grew up on these biscuits. My Mamaw made these almost every morning. She handrolled hers and used fresh cream chilled in the ice box. She was born in 1900. My Mom and Aunties all made these as handrolled. They sometimes would make the ones using three ingredients, too. I'm a deep southerner and I love my biscuits! Nice video, Phyllis!

Those look so good. I love leftover biscuits too. I've never seen a biscuit recipe so easy or with heavy cream like this on utube. When I was a teenager, I worked on a dairy. Every morning after milking was over we'd take a pail of fresh cream to the farmhouse and the farmers wife would make biscuits and cream gravy. It just doesn't get better than that. I'm excited to try your recipe. Thanks so much.

Could a dollop of sour cream be substituted for the buttermilk if you don’t have any on hand?
Yes, I’m sure the sour cream would work, but you should probably stir it together with the heavy cream before adding to the flour.

We owned the Ocean Spray Motel at 1304 S Ocean Blvd. We sold our place to the Sea Mist Resort in 1985.
