Back in 1977, my brother in law had the idea to pull a 2-story adobe brick home down with an International Transtar II semi truck (it was either that or his 1976 Plymouth station wagon). We wrapped the cable around the entire house, about 4' above the foundation and it ripped right through. We thought the house would come tumbling down, but the only difference it made was to make the house about 2" shorter. We ended up running the cable through the windows and connected railroad ties at the other end. Now, why didn't we think to just connect his family station wagon to the other side? (pulling the truck through the house was a nice touch!) What we thought would take a few minutes took all day! This brought back some fun memories.
I did the same thing on a 2 story house a few years ago with my 1992 ford F- 350 with a 7. 3 . One end on the truck though the house outside though a window and back in the house and out the front door to a big oak tree. One shot and the whole house went down in the basement and though a match in and watched it burn. Thank You for all of your video;s enjoy watching them from the Philippines.
If I was the owner of the house I would definitely call Heavy D a few hours later and say: "Hey, I am at the house right now, when are you guys going to start?"
@kirdot2011 It matters if you build one completely cheap then yes, if you invest more on the right things then you will have a solid one, the company who was hired to drill some hols in the 1st and 2. floor fore some pipes has hated us. Fore each hole they needed almost a new drill because the concrete was very good. It is the difference between building American or German/Switzer like
"Are you not entertained?" " ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??" Definitely earned a sub with this one. Respect! My way, det cord rapped around the support walls.
Far be it from me to suggest to anyone how to do demolition....but.... One time I took down a wooden tractor and equipment barn and my primary tools were a chainsaw and a backhoe .. I did it this way so I could break it down into wall and roof sections I could put on hay wagons to transport to a burn pit....There were also several large timbers I wanted to salvage. Cleanup was minimal ...I don't think this method would work very well on a house with internal walls
I was sick for 2 years. the only person i had to see if i had something to eat are if i needed anything was someone who has nothing but he would do what ever he had to to make sure i ate. Before i was laid off due to covid I bought a 06 duramax form a guy because he needed the money to take care of his family. I gave the truck to the guy that has nothing but did for me anyway, with the full intention of getting it running for him but i got laid off and have no way off paying for it now. I would give my kidney to have you guys fix this truck for him. If I can ever sale my truck I would be on foot but at least he would have his truck. I wanted to buy a tshirt to try to win him the truck put I don't even have the money for that. this life sucks LOVE YOU GUY Keep doing what you are doing
Just watching this..disassembling a house and salvaging everything possible and reusing the lumber to build tiny homes constructed from demolished houses ppl love the idea bro..Recycling america one house at a time. Storage buildings nearly zero $ for the build.. the people who cant afford things really enjoys being able to. With services like that.
I would have found the main support beam in the basement or crawl space and gone through the floor and around that. Yank on it with the yankum and the 5 ton... something will break! The cable is always going to rip through the walls and roof, etc. Maybe not a chimney so quickly! I feel like going around the main beam would have better odds of pulling it off the foundation. This was most entertaining! Thank you Gents❤️
Considering the equipment you have I would've wrapped a cable around each wall and hooked both ends to the truck so it's not in a choker style. Each wall gets a truck and take the whole house down with all trucks pulling at the same time
Great vid boys!! Tip:: when you use a shackle (you guys call d ring) as a choker put the pin on the loop end of the cable so the cable passing by doesn't unspin itself. Shit can go flying like the d ring on the hemtt lol
I would of donated house to local fire department. Let them burn it down. Then put it out. Then cleaned it up. Trucks are properly more fun. I love this, keep up the fun. Stay safe.
I would love to drive a Caterpillar D-8 through a house, building, or structure. The kind that does fire brakes with an all inclosed cab so nothing could enter the cab of the dozer. Might have to replace the glass with bulletproof glass just to make sure, but that would be amazing!
Me too, but it got stopped trying part of it, no way it was getting it all in one shot. The 2nd or third pull you hear it spinning tires trying to take I think the chimney.
Heavy d an boys I do love your videos when I finish work early hours in morning I come get chill out an have a cuppa watching you boys.u lot are doing a fantastic job keep up good work an keep safe
Would love to see you guys come to the southern side of the state and get a giant truck stuck in the Sand Hallow Sand Dunes then call Matt's Off-road Recovery to see if he can get you out with his own Yankum rope. Two Utah youtubers, showing off the power of Yankum ropes. Matt's Off-road is where I first heard about Yankum.

My mother would take me down to Fort Carson to the motor pool to visit my grandpa, on my dad's side... I got to play in the tanks he was working on... best time of my life, at that time... but I think driving one of those tanks through a house would be AWESOME!
I love just watching the destruction caused simply by a ute, a few cords and cables. No need for explosives. Need a house pulled down? Just call Heavy D and Desiel Dave, they will get the job done.

After 41 years in the military I have always wanted to drive a M88 tank through a house.
Do it brother go for it go to drive tanks if you can’t just buy one 😂😂
And I can't blame you
Stryker MEV straight through the front door. Leeroy Jenkins style!
I'm with you Brother! Drive thru the house 🏠! Remember in Twister and the Ram Truck driving straight through it?
a 88 isn't a tank it's a recovery vehicle for a tank.

@Angie K I was busting up then too! Absolutely hilarious!

It does have that vibe

oh nvm lol
I like how people drive past and don’t stop and watch. I’m stopping and watching lol
I would just have my girlfriend stand out in front of the house and yell at it.. that’s how she tears me down. I’m sure it will work on a house
You got a girlfriend like that too.
Hahaha
Clydesdale horses
Wife could huff, and puff, and throw a bed sheet over it and fart. That house would be done.

🤔 Exactly, well at least they are insured

That looked like a lot of fun to be able to destroy a house and not get arrested for it. Great video as always. Keep up the great work you do

Lol

Disconnect the sill plate anchors from the foundation, then the whole house would come off in one piece!! That would be a sight to behold
They probably didn't have anchor plates

Really enjoyed this having done demo work so much I really have a good understanding of what it takes to tear a house down. That was awesome
In the words of The Mythbusters:
"When in doubt; C4"
I was just thinking that and not 2 seconds after it came into my head I saw this
The Ranger cab was surprisingly intact for driving through a house.
Ass load of tannerite
I would of donated house to local fire department. Let them burn it down. Then put it out. Then cleaned it up. Trucks are properly more fun. I love this, keep up the fun. Stay safe.

I always look forward to watching these guys living the dream!
Buddy of mine said years ago, his duramax could pull a building down. Well he wasn’t lying 😂.
Been in hospital and this video was awesome to watch great job.
If I could tear down a house any possible way, I would drive straight through it
I'd like to see 4 trucks all pulling in different directions at the same time when you pulled it down. Truck that pulls off the biggest piece wins.
I would tear it down by starving The Muscle and telling him there’s a burrito hidden in the house👍
Underrated comment
Love ure videos literally watch it every chance I get hope ure shows can go on forever
One of my top 5 favorite channels hope to get to work with you guys one day

Old house he says, that place was nicer even with the foundation issues than my current house
I was thinking the same thing!
Same

Yeah it’s a pretty nice house compared to some houses that people live
Same
That was AWESOME..., the house was like a layered cake before the last pull... maybe drive a tank through it or the ripsaw!!!
Should have connected truck to the crane and swung it at the house. That would have been a “wrecking truck”
I thought the same thing as he drove the forklift.
🤣
A FORD WRECKING RANGER!!!!
If only demo had his 5 ton out there with the steel cage
Coulda drove right through it
When Riggs pulled the house off the foundation in Lethal Weapon 2, I have wanted to do that ever since...it is what started my need for a big diesel dually!!!
Great movie scene !

Heavy D: How would you want to see the house taken out? Every truck you had on site hooked up all at once!
tearing a house down with a thousand pounds of tannerite would be dope.
136lbs will turn an old barn into tooth picks.
