Hi Guys,I’m suspecting that there could be some of that shit in my 2017 Fx ho after changing the anode and seeing blocking in there similar to your one. Made numerous little tools to scrap it out and vacuumed. Got sand and corrosion, some felt like rock trying to scrape it out eventually breaking thru.
Now I’ve seen some videos on flushing outboards with a trough and vinegar and dawn or soap circulating through their engines until the water gets hot. Stop it, let it soak till water cools a bit, run it some more. Everyone reports better water flow, heaps of crap coming out of the engine in bottom of trough, cooler temperatures and happy engines. You can see where I’m going. Can we set this up somehow for a jet ski. To avoid this problem. Prevention better than cure. Do it a lot at first then just occasionally.
I did it on my outboard and can pull an anode out shine inside water jacket and it’s clean. A beautiful site to see. It’s 2009 Yamaha 4 stroke with 774 hours and it wasn’t clean when I got it. Its got new anodes now and it’s clean inside and that is peace of mind heading out to sea. Has anyone tried this yet somewhere in the world. Comments, suggestions, ideas. I’m wanting to do this really bad. Cheers.

I have the same engine in my 2020 Yamaha FSH 190. I flush it after every use with a teaspoon of dawn in the waterhose.

It's unbelievable mate the corrosion salt water does!! I've got a 2015 Seadoo Spark with the Non-Removable PTO (Heat Shrunk On) I believe the 2016 onwards PTO's are removable and screwn on. Just wondering if you've had many 2014/15 Sparks with stripped PTO Splines from the engine being incorrectly aligned? What a nitemare having to remove the crankshaft just to replace the PTO ... I hope the engineer @ BRP responsible for that design got the bullet!! Great vlog mate, I just subscibed to your channel! Beanie (Australia)

Great video, I appreciate the content. I have a FX SHO with what appears to be a failed exhaust manifold gasket(saw some Salt build up on gasket before taking apart). It ran fine and then sat for 4 weeks now the engine is seized. Im seeing some rust in Cylinder 3 combustion chamber. Oil is clean. After pulling the exhaust manifold off it looks like Cooling ports are getting some build-up, not as bad as this video But there is some salt in two exhaust ports and rusty valves from what I can see. Maybe stuck open exhaust valve after gasket allowed saltwater in? I'm pulling the engine tomorrow and pulling the head off. If block and piston's look good I'm assuming it's a valve problem now. Is it more cost effective to send my cylinder head to you for repair? Or buying a remandufactured cylinder head from SBT? SBT cylinder head exchanges are about $900, how much does a cylinder head Rebuild typically costs with you guys? Any info is greatly appreciated

The head is probably rotted out and no longer rebuildable. Also the engine block around the cylinders can be badly affected and the block may be compromised as well. Get it apart and send me some pictures and I can advise you if that's any help. Hotheadzmarine.walker@gmail.com

@@hotheadzmarine thanks for the reply. I got the engine on the bench, and you're right the head is rotted. Some salt made it into 3rd cylinder intake manifold port. No milk in the pan but saw some when I pulled the filter off. I'm on the Big Island of Hawaii and not a single marine shop will work on skis so I'll have to ship it. I'll email some videos to you tomorrow when I pull the head, you guys look like you know what you're doing! Thanks
