  • This is a new to me Kayak that I'm taking out for the first time. Video shows stability and tracking as well as how it does in the wind. Great all day fishing kayak.

I give the kayak 5/5 Greg’s!!! A friend told me he has been fishing with roadrunners on the lake and killing it

Thanks. I’ve been really happy with it. I’ve updated the pivot drive system with the newest version since the video and it’s been great!

I’d love to get a kayak like that. If you don’t mind me asking, how much was it?

Would you recommend a pivot drive for the duck river or other mid tn rivers?

Because the pivot drive is able to pop up over stumps and rocks it makes it great for rivers. I would recommend maybe a Nucanoe Flint or Pursuit for rivers. The Frontier is very wide and heavier than the others.

    Is the pivot drive slow?

The pivot drive itself is great speed wise. Since this video, I switched to a pursuit for more speed. The frontier is wider and a little shorter, which makes it a little slower. I get about 4 miles an hour really cranking on it in the frontier. I could get 4.5 to 5 miles an hourin the pursuit pretty easy.

What mph are you seeing with this drive?

With the f12 it was usually around 3.5 to 4.
I now have a pursuit and can get to 5 plus if I really get into it.

@@fishitmiddletennessee Thanks! Sounds like it's about the same speed as the other prop drives then. I was wondering if this design would be slower, glad it's not.

My favorite parts of the design are the rear steering so no rudder and the easy pop up in shallow water or rocks/stumps.
