Keep these videos coming, I'm not sure all what brand fishing kayaks you carry, but we need a breakdown and walk-through of all of them! I'm specifically looking for a 10ftr just to fish some small state lakes and decent sized ponds.

Man, I real love this thing. What you’ve brought to light with your points has given me a ton to think about. But, I am at a small crossroads where this kayak is just a touch too big for how I want to use it. Transporting it is my biggest hang up. I’m planning on putting a kayak in the bed of my Ford Maverick, a fairly small bed, so I have been eyeballing a 10.5 sized kayak as my maxed length. In particular the Native titan 10.5 or slayer 10. I’m kinda new into the kayak world and was thinking pedal drive would be my entry into fishing kayaks. This Unlimited Nucanoe with its open platform is appealing also. Could you possibly do a sub 11 foot top picks for kayaks? I know I’ve given you some limited use case scenarios, but I guess I should provide that I’m a 5’11” 225lbs 44 year old guy for weight and size considerations. Thank you

Check out the Nucanoe Frontier 10. You still get the swivel seat and an open platform. The Native Propel 10 is another really good one. I have a video on it for "best lightweight pedal drive"

    Love your channel 👍
I'm in the process of getting a new kayak. I've narrowed the choice down to Hobie PA 12 or the Titan X 12.5.
I love the fish jerkbaits and for me that means standing up in the kayak, what's your opinion on which is the better kayak for the standing fisherman? I'm not thinking solely about stability but also about deck space for your footing etc.
I might add that I will not run a motor but I want to rig the kayak with livescope with a 10 or 12" screen.

Check out my videos on the Titan X. It's the most stable kayak out there and the most modern

@@thebeardedpaddlerThank you for your reply! I've checked it out several times😊 I'm just curious about "deck space" on the Titan X vs Hobie PA? I've some experience from a friends PA but none from the Titan X. I'm leaning towards the Titan X but just wanted to hear your opinion about the practicality of standing up and doing some active jerkbait fishing from the Titan X

I know this video is a little older now, but curious if you could share some insight. I’m in the market for two kayaks, one for me and one for my wife. We fish a lot of slow rivers (sometimes skinny) and some ponds/lakes as well. I also take a trip once a year with my brothers trying to hit all 50 states kayak fishing, and we sometimes get into class 2/3 waters. For the wife we’ve narrowed it down to the Jackson Bite and Crescent Shoalie. For me it is down to the Jackson Coosa X and the Nucanoe Unlimited. If she gets the Shoalie, I was thinking I could take it for our fast water trips and have something bigger/less maneuverable (ie the unlimited) for the rest of waters. It’s really hard to find river videos of the unlimited, so could you shed some light on the river performance of this boat? I had a Coosa HD in the past and expect some changes to the Coosa X but think it may be a decent all around platform as well, especially if she chooses the Bite. I should add that I plan on a Newport NK180 on whatever we decide. Any insight on the Unlimited vs Coosa X would be greatly appreciated.

Really 2 different kayaks. Coosa X is made for that water. I like the Crescent Shoalie but it can feel a little tippy on more adventurous water. I would consider the Bonafide RVR119 as well.
The Unlimited is coming out with a 10 foot model that I think will be better for what you are needing personally than it's 12.5 footer

Love the videos, always very informative with great input. I'm looking at getting the Unlimited in the near feature as I've stated before. I plan to bow mount an Xi3 but would like to hear input regarding the standard Xi3 and the saltwater version. Is the saltwater version really worth it. I'll mainly fish freshwater but may look at saltwater as well

It's mainly how they are made. It's not necessary if you are freshwater fishing but I get why people get them.

Do you have a rod holder recommendation for 20-30 pound fish tough enough to handle repeated take downs from flathead catfish

I would go with AR tube rod holder from YakAttack. Make sure you have a good solid track mount underneath it though

Guys, I am looking to upgrage my fishing kayak. I am currently in a SeaGhost 130. I am 6'7" and 360 pounds.
I do not like how tippy my Seaghost is, and I'm looking for a larger capacity kayak to fish our local rivers and tournaments. Like most everything, opinions range drastically on this topic. But what would you recommend for someone my size?
Long term goals is to have a tolling motor and rig it out for depth finders with a minimum draft depth for river fishing. I like the idea of easily removing some of the gear to lighten up for shallow river draft to fish our local creeks and rivers.
I see so many average size people doing reviews but not many people my size. I believe there is a market there but no one representing.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can help with.
