Have you tried both drives? What are your thoughts?
I love that you don't care and let it fly.
I appreciate the rambling.
I haven't tried both drives...I only have the 120 PDL and love it. Solid system.
It is a solid system and it’s tough to leave it. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
Nick, thanks for being objective and honest in your review. Coming from a OT BW132 PDL which works well for me.
Thanks for watching, Reid.
Thanks Nick. As a 120 PDL owner I still like to hear about the industry and appreciate your honest input. Hope all is well.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
I am new to fishing. But my nephew is teaching me. So I guess you can say old dogs can learn new tricks. But I am still doing my research when it comes to pedal kayaks and wanting to fish from one. I appreciate your honest viewpoint. I live in Texas right by the Gulf of Mexico. And I have the enjoyment of both worlds of saltwater and freshwater fishing.
Living along the Gulf is great. Tons of fishing options all year.
Love your honesty!!!
I have both boats. But no pivot drive. But the Frontier 12 itself is a slow boat in the water. Paddling is much slower/difficult than my predator. If it weren’t for using a trolling motor I wouldn’t have the F12. But since I do I love it.
I could see it being a solid kayak for the trolling motor.
I had a nucanoe back in 17 or so. It’s more of a boat. Hard to paddle, no pedal drive at the time. I mounted a front trolling motor on it and it was great. I got an incredible deal on the 106mk , 1700 new! I’m getting a 106 pdl in February so I can take my wife or a friend. Old town is the best I have found.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I agree. Old Town does make a quality product.
Yea well you Dissed my 136 Autopilot Too!
@ 67 should have seen what I caught here in Sierra Nevada Mts !
I get it though ,Can't clean prop ?
NEVER , that is a definite NO !
I prefixed the video about the AP so everyone knew I was talking about the fishery I live in and people still lost their minds.
Nick - I hope you’ll have an opportunity to compare the OT PDL to the Native propel drive. I have a Salty but am really liking that Titan X!
Maybe we can make that happen one day.
I had the same thought
@topolos123 maybe we will get our hands on one of them and one of the ePDL’s.
Shooting straight is what I like !
What are your thoughts on the seastream angler 120pd?
I’ve never seen one in person so I can’t say.
@@NavarreKayakFishing Thank you sir! And for the prompt response!
You got a new subscriber, for being honest! I’m watching videos, trying to make an informed decision, on a pedal boat.
@fishingismydrug1 thanks! Let me know if you have any questions. I do my best to respond but I miss them from time to time.
What kind of bow is that behind you? I’m starting to think about getting into archery
It’s a Bear Legend - or something lol. It does the job.
Nobody can fault ya for shootin straight? Hope alls well, gettin beyond the fire and all.
Things are going smoothly, Jake. Thanks for the kind words.
As someone looking to longline troll for trout...speed is important. Just not to the same degree. 1.5-2.5 mph is typical. Open deep water is common. But nice to be able to cruise over 3mph for salmon occasionally..
Stability is more important than speed.. Quality is more important also. Control is more important. Steering drift when freehanded.. fighting a fish. Working on tackle. I'm a big guy. Am I wrong to consider the Nucanoe? I can get into a Nucanoe unlimited for $700 less than Old Town pdl.
Tried both. The pdl drive is best drive on the market. The pivot drive is garbage.
Facts.
The new canoe pivit drive looks cheaply made
Ya, I can’t say I was the biggest fan.
