- This video is a DIY on how to do an alternator removal and installation on your Scion xB/xA Toyota Echo and Yaris without the need of having to jack your engine up for clearance due to the alternator bottom bolt. This video is intended to help those that are trying to tackle their own vehicles maintenance, and in the long run save a few bucks so stick around for more DEATHbX DIYs.

@@LENINsWORLD thanks. Looks like 7/16 bolt end turn buckle. I haven't really go it to it to measure the shank of the bolt but I think it looks like. 7/16.
Excellent vid! Much easier than disassembling the bumper, grill, headlights, jacking up the engine, etc. as shown in other vids. One question; where did you get the adjustable alternator tensioner bracket?

Lenn Dawg great straight to the point video. Best part was the belt diagram included. Is there noticeable power with the Weapon R intake manifold? Keep making vids and beating the the skins brotha!
I think the Weapon intake is at its full potential with forced induction and not NA...tho I did install it before I went turbo and swore I felt a difference by the butt dyno haha. I'll eventually put some xB content out but at the moment I'm focused on music/drumming, but I promise the xB videos are coming ;)
Missed the amount of belt tension that needed to be set at as these belts can go to 90ft lbs and normal range is 45 to 60 ft lbs and the Toyota/Scion XB 1.5L spec is very hard to find!!!!!!

i believe the top connector is your vvt solenoid which i need to replace due to a code p0012. thanks for the video. great job making it easy and not taking off bumper or jacking engine.
