    This is exactly the video I was scouring the internet and UA-cam for, I use Clip Studio Paint but I come from Sai which didn't have a curve, just a number setting so I was completely lost with the curve. Didn't know what part of the line really meant/did what so thank you for describing it all in a way that's easy to understand and absorb.

      Thanks yeah I was surprised how obscure and misunderstood this setting is considering how important it is to getting the right drawing feel. So I had to make this video, glad it helped.

    as someone who always likes writing with a 0.03 pencil trying to use the apple pencil was hard. I had to use a lot more pressure then I usually use and was scared of using too much and damaging the ipad I am so glad I found your video I tried with the curve 2 example and its exactly what I needed. I would have tried the one you prefer except I know how lightly I press especially whenever I lent someone my actual pencil and they kept pressing to hard and breaking the led on my mechanical pencil.

    This video came out as a recommendation today and wow...
    I never thought it would change my experience with my Apple Pencil so much just by playing with the sensitivity., now I can make soft lines more easily, although I still have to discover the strong one, since I feel your recommendation is inappropriate for my hand and I have to press too hard my screen.
    Thank you!

    I bought a cheap $7 screen protector on eBay and to my surprise, it made the Apple Pencil around 90% to a pencil and paper in the real world. A little tweak to make it even better. The screen protector I bought was a soft screen, not tempered glass, not gel, not magnetic screen. I tried with paper feel screen before and didn’t like the scratching noise.

    I don't feel like my apple pencil (2nd gen) is changing at all when i adjust the pressure settings globally or for individual brushes. I just bought it, did I receive a faulty one? No matter how lightly I press strokes are at full opacity/size i can't gradually build it like a real pencil. Is there an apple pencil setting i have to activate to turn on its pressure sensitivity?

      it might be the 2nd gen pencil or maybe your apple pencil settings (not in procreate)? I am using the 2nd gen pencil and I did see a slight difference on pressure before changing the global settings as well as when I changed the individual brushes pressure, and after changing the procreate pressure curve (what the video is about) it had a big change on the pressure.

  • @nicolelatham979

    I keep trying to change it but nothing happens. Is there a way to do this with size pressure instead of opacity?

    • @jaywalkerpictures
      @jaywalkerpictures  3 дні тому

      Which Apple Pencil are you using? This setting is for calibrating how procreate interprets the force of your hand. The size and opacity settings would be deeper in the settings of the brush you’re using.

    Hi! Thanks so much for the video! However, I have a problem. I did exactly as you said, but I can’t get that same sketchy feel. I do have an apple pen and it is connected, so I’m not quite sure what’s wrong. I also have another problem that’s completely unrelated, but for some reason, I can’t really make the stroke follow the pen. It is calibrated, but it seems like it’s too stabilized??? I checked all my stabilization settings, resettled my settings, and turned them down to the lowest, including the brush stabilization, but it’s still like that? It’s to the point where I can’t write. Could anyone help?
