Editing a comment I made earlier -- Sorry if I was rude. This comment was made when I was frustrated in trying to download the free brushes. Yes, I paid $2.00 for these free brushes, but that was my choice to help support this channel, not because it was required. My problem with the download was operator error, nothing to do with the process. Once I calmed down and took a breath, everything worked well when I went back to try again. Everything is hard when trying to learn something new, especially when you are 78 years old! Love your videos and I apologize for my blowing off steam at your expense. I also appreciate the fact that you posted my comment, even though it wasn’t, very complimentary.

I also tried using "syrup" brush in the ink section when I shouldvr been switching between, "studio pen" and "dry ink" for the look I want. "syrup" is a very pixelated brush
This was possibly THE MOST helpful video for me. I definitely learned valuable lessons for quality in my art. Thank you so much for making this content!
Honestly line tools should now just auto vector so up scaling isn’t necessary. It’s such an obvious and easy fix but things like adobe illustrator make it look way more complex than it has to be. Like companies just need to create vector brush packs #its2020
@@erikleypoldt8275 in spite of the assertion of the original poster, I'm not convinced it _is_ all that straightforward to add vector brushes to a raster-based app.
Vector capable software is wildly difficult to create from a development standpoint, and is largely limited by hardware. It's unfortunately not as simple as just "adding a tool", it often requires a ton of restructuring behind-the-scenes, sometimes to the point of creating a whole other copy of the software. Not to say that it's impossible or that other software is neccessarily better for having it, but changing and adding tools after the fact is very difficult.
Thanks for the tips! I’ve spent my entire digital art career using paint tool sai, and in the past year I switched to procreate, and honestly I haven’t been drawing as much because I knew sai like the back of my hand. It’s taking me a while to get used to how lineart and coloring works in procreate.
Thank you so much! Can’t wait to create with the starter kit. I didn’t understand about the different settings for scaling and now I know which one to choose! Wonderful and very clear instructions. 🙂
Basically a Technical Pensil brush with a sharp circle. I did it a couple of months ago, because I hated the blur on the regular Technical Pencil brush. Thanks for the bicubic tip!!
Wow thank you so much! I’m new to procreate and found that my lines were looking pretty jagged, luckily i came across your video and it really helped! thanks so much!!
Trying out these tip on 6th gen ipad pro. The pixelation is still there just less pronounced but what I appreciate is the inking brush feels better than what I used before!
This video is a godsend!!! I was just looking at the interpolation choices this week and wondering how to find out what they meant!!! Thank you for making this video. I had been struggling with resolution as I tried to make files work across several different sizes of print supports such as paper (for greeting cards), direct to garment, and printing on phone cases, etc. It addresses several issues I have as I learn to create digital art for these various forms of printing. You are a very good teacher.
Was super intimidated by my new pad and pencil combo and hadn't dont more than scribble. This is my first go at digital painting, and this video got the juices flowing due to my distaste for most standard brushes. Now I can experiment with my own. Def subscribed and look forward to more content from you. Cheers
Well, I followed what you did here while watching this on my PC as I copied your actions on my new iPad, so I now already have my own copies of your very useful brushes. Thank you! As I am a 70-yr old hobbyist, I don't really need to get your complete starter set - but I downloaded it to my PC anyway, unzipped it, then hadn't a clue what it all meant and what I was supposed to do with it, so it's still sitting there, unused, untransferred to the iPad and - by now - forgotten. Thanks anyway... I think?
Steve Parkes download the brushes on your ipad not the computerDepending on where you get it from you should be able to just click on it and it would go to procreate otherwise you could look for tutorials there are plenty
I’ve been having troubles with wanting a lot of layers but also wanting Crisp lines and 300 dpi and 2000x2000 ya can’t have both so I need to learn how to not use a lot of layers
Thank you! 😮 I just subscribed, really High quality content and professional consideration. I really appreciate your tips and lesson on custom brushes.
Wow! Very informative and SUPER easy to follow! I look up so many procreate tutorials and most of them tell you the basics instead of how to tackle little details and nuances like sizing and printing. THANK YOU!
OHHH MYYY GODDDD THANK YOU! you have no idea how many years I've spent trying to remember that website name!!! (more than 5 for sure) it was society6 for god sake! thanks a million! FINALLY!! my memory is gunk and google wasn't able to suggest it to me in any way when I tried to search for it
I’ve been using Procreate since Procreate 2 and its transform tools actually weren’t destructive until Procreate 4. It was a problem that, rather than properly address, they decided to add the algorithms as workarounds instead.
OMG! I wish I had found this video before spending a bunch of money on other illustration programs trying to find the look I needed. You’re a blessing. Thank you! Thank you!
Really good tutorial and thank you for the brushes. I just got Procreate and I want to get started but already the default brushes aren't good enough. If I get brave enough to get in and start messing around with the settings, you seem to explain it well.

It’s not working...
But you need a computer because they are zip??? I can’t get them to open or go onto procreate 😣😣
L Danger B You do not need a computer, You can open files from iPhone’iPad and it is supported 👌

Or just use Clip Studio that has exactly that and is a full Photoshop replacement for $2/mo
So procreate has the ability to add vector lines? Why haven't they?
