Your tutorials are extremely the best. Please now do I configure my Apple Pencil to respond to very slight pressure Changes, especially most visible in Laura H . Rubin’s lines which feel like very very fluid ink that tapers so smoothly? I will be so glad if you can answer this question. L am not rich enough to buy Laura's brushes. Thanks so much.
Hello! I recently bought the iPad Pro 11 inch and whenever I try to draw with my fingers, the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. I put both light and heavy pressure when drawing but the outcome is the same. I just want it to go from very light to dark colors gradually without having to stop and toggle with the opacity slider. Is it a problem with my iPad or is it just happening because I'm using my fingers? And will it get fixed if I buy the Apple pencil? I don't know what to do😔
i need to turn that pressure off cuz i am doing 2 years caligraphy but when i pressure a little bit more the line will be not straight . how can i do that..?
Hmmm , if you’re using procreate I recomendable going into brush settings , and then there will be something called streamline , you bring it up to where you feel comfortable and it makes your handwriting much straighter! If you’re not using procreate idk how to help sorry ;-;
Hi, thanks a lot for a video. I had a problem with editing pressure curve. I am trying to edit as a soft pressure, but I cannot do that really how I NEED. When I touch the stroke it keeps changing. And still I Have to do hard pressure with pencil which is I don’t like it and not draw really comfortable
Hello! I’m on my phone but I don’t know how to fix this, and I’m not using an Apple Pencil but when I press hard on my screen it hurts and I just don’t like pressing hard on my screen can you do a video like this but with a phone?
So if i want to use brush from any source i should setting my pressure curve first right ?? Even default brush from procreate with different pressure curve can make different results ?
What about when tilting the pen and it automatically, turning into shading how can I fix that or turn it off, and have the same lines no matter which way I tilt the pen..? (Also ty for this short but perfect video!)
I think what's important is that you have a stylus that's able to detect pressure🤔 So doesn't really matter whether it's an Apple Pencil or another third-party stylus - But I do have to say that the Apple Pencil is by far the best option for iPad & Procreate!🙇♂️
Calligraphy DK I have a stylus but the pressure doesn’t seem to be working. Even when I try with my finger it doesn’t do anything and I can’t find the Pressure curve thing. Is something wrong or am I just stupid?
I used my custom Procreate Brush which is linked in the description :) And unfortunately no, not possible with finger if you want to achieve the best results :(
@@CalligraphyDK I figured it out, I have logi pen and it's doesn't have pressure sensors. Hopefully going to get the apple pencil soon. Thanks anyway x
Personally wether I am giving more pressure or not it's only changing the opacity of the line and not the thinner and thicker part of it. I have a apple pencil. I used to draw on wacom and the fact that I cannot change that is mailing me a little frustrated. 😭 i have triés To change the curve and I didn't get the effect I wanted.the effect you got when you apply little force get a little size and most pressure huge line
Tari alvelos Hmm maybe it's the Brush itself? The settings should be: If you go into Brush Studio > Apple Pencil > Set Pressure Size to 100% ; Let me know if this fixes the problem😊
Hello, first of all thank you very much for all your videos, they’re really awesome! Can I ask you to write a mini summary for it, I am not a native speaker in English and if it has got a summary it would be super helpfull!
Hi thanks so much! Glad you like my videos😇 I'll definitely look into it but for now I think the best resource is the discussion thread on the Procreate website: procreate.art/discussions/5/17/18812 Hope this helps!
but it is not possible to adjust the pen preasure settings without disabeling the proper function of the opacity slider! if i want a brush with no blurry start and/or end, and adjust the pen pressure so that it will paint like that, the opacity slider does not work, or only work right at the bottom of the slide bar. these two functions should not be connected, they are two different tools:( good video with good explenation on the subject!
(Not sure if you have already figured this out since it has literally been 6 months but...) If you click on the brush you are using, then click “Apple Pencil” and slide “Size” down to 0%, then no matter how light or harsh you press, it will stay the same size. Same thing goes for “Opacity”: If you put it to 0% then it will stay the same opacity no matter how light or harsh you press
Thank you so much, this has changed the way I feel about the pencil. I thought it was defective. : ) Just got it today.
Oh I am glad to hear this was useful ! And congrats heh it's a really nice tool to have !!😆😇
HOLY FRICK I MADE MY PRESSURE CURVE JUST LIKE YOURS AND OMG THIS IS PERFECT
Super happy to hear that😁🙏
Wow, I felt so uncomfortable with how the brushes felt on procreate, it made it unusable.
This really fixed a lot.
Feel you on that one - Glad to hear you managed to fix it!😇
2:23 may need an entire separate tutorial on how to do that hand trick😳
I’m too scared for doing it, if it falls i’ll be regretting ;-;
@@angelepp waw im not the only one 😅

Is there a way to edit the drawing curves afterwards like you can with Adobe Illustrator?
I hope this helps because no matter what I do my brushes never show unless I literally stab my ipad which only creates a dot
THANK YOU😭
My pleasure :)
Thanks! Super helpful!

Uhh my pressure sensitivity does the opposite when I press hard it makes the lines small he l p
Oh how does your pressure curve look like?? Does it match with one of the graphics I included in the video?
Calligraphy DK lmao it was cuz of the tool i was using 😆
Gk-desu oof lol
Gk-desu were you using the Gel Pen 😂😂
Thank you. Awesome video man, appreciate the help here
Thanks so much for watching!!
Thank you so much! This was a big help.
No worries !! I’m glad it was helpful :)
I tried changing the pressure curve but it isn't doing anything, does my apple pen just suck or did I do something wrong?

Hi there! I believe the pressure sensitivity only works with a pressure-sensitive stylus so yes it'll be fixed once you use an Apple Pencil😊
@@CalligraphyDK Thank you so much! I feel so relieved now, I ordered the Apple Pencil and now I'm waiting for it to arrive🤗

Hi there! First off, thanks for watching the video - Did you try using "Curve D" at 1:42 ? This will give you a softer touch😇

i was thinking that to.

Exactly - Twixtor tutorials helped me out personally haha
Hi, so on my phone in pocket create I can do calligraphy but not on my iPad on procreate.
Are you using an Apple Pencil?
What brush you used and can you do it by finger?
I used my custom Procreate Brush which is linked in the description :) And unfortunately no, not possible with finger if you want to achieve the best results :(
Hi, my pressure doesn’t work
Is this because I don’t have an apple pen? Or is it my iPad?
Mhm as long as you have a pressure-sensitive stylus it should be working🤔 Which stylus are you currently using?😊
@@CalligraphyDK I figured it out, I have logi pen and it's doesn't have pressure sensors. Hopefully going to get the apple pencil soon.

Ahh I see I apologize for the late response - Can only recommend the Apple Pencil!😊
I have a Stylus pen and the pressure does not work for me 😢
Is it an Apple Pencil?
@@CalligraphyDK well no but it is a cheaper alternative but they look the same 🤔
I don’t see it, is it because I have an Apple Pencil alternative?

I cant get my apple pen to work on the drawing part of procreate
Sandro Tejeda maybe the tip wasn’t tight? Try to unscrew the tip or maybe you forgot to pair with the ipad

(Not sure if you have already figured this out since it has literally been 6 months but...) Nothing happens for me
Sorry to hear that, did you try maybe restarting the app or reconnecting the Apple Pencil?
I cant believe minimalism has gotten so out of hand that app developers won't label their axes.
lmao probably just an aesthetics thingy
