Because of your encouragement, i finally moved to a small town in the Aveyron. You are right, relocating is not for the faint of heart! I have met a few angels on my journey and they have made the move a bit easier.
Bonjour, Janice. Thank you for your videos. Truly inspiring. So motivating that we sold our condo and are moving to France. Our VLS-TS visitor visa appointment in Seattle is December 2, and our Perpignan Airbnb is booked from Jan 1-April 2. We hope to buy or rent an apt nearby. We are looking forward to the adventure!! Janice. I love that you are going back to your coffee chat style and less polished, but more real Janice content. What has always drawn me to your videos is not the polish, but your experience and fascination with France. I feel like you have just invited us to join you on an adventure; be it parks, grocery shopping, sightseeing, etc. Keep being you and I for one will enjoy you bringing us along for the adventure. Looking forward to your furniture unpacking.
I'm glad you decided to go back to your own style of doing things! It's what got me watching your channel in the first place. It was like visiting with a friend for awhile. I think we can all agree on that.
I've missed you, Janice. Glad you're back and are going back to the your unique original style...Love your fun style and flair...love the way you are so real and relaxed..and candid. It brings us all into community with one another. Thank you for that! Do you need to pass a language test for citizenship in France? I retired in July after 27 years of teaching. I went against most people I knew who would always ask, "What about finances?" and "What will you do with all of your free time?" lol We'll, I'm teaching part time at a college a few hours a week and loving it. I enjoy resting at home and enjoying not having to do anything at all right now. I'm glad I listened to myself and not others.

So glad to see YOU back!! Coffee chats are my absolute favorite ❤ I love that you’re just YOU and I agree with you about scheduling. I like things on my terms too
I love this format of compilation or catch-up videos. Congrats on getting your appointment scheduled, one more step closer. Good for you Janice for realizing that working a lot isn't for you at this time, it's nice to have free time to just enjoy life. I wish you continued sparkling joy.
Janice, loved this video! It's YOU! The other videos were "beautiful" videos and they showed off your beauty, and the beauty of things around you, as well. But to be honest I'm sure most of us subscribed to your channel, to "hang out" each time, with you. You're down to earth, you're "authentic" and it's truly like hanging out with you over a cup of coffee. Hope you received your "magic residency card" finally! Next you'll need to tackle getting on France's healthcare system. Once you have all those documents translated anyway, you'll almost have everything you need! Throw in a few utility bill copies and it'll take you maybe 20 minutes! All the best to you, always!
Love it when you get real with us ❤ Many women our age are going through similar changes and learning to prioritise themselves and live life on their own terms. ❤
You are so beautiful and contagious as I see and ponder your life choice I can feel how it excites and tickles your very soul to no end...until I see you again my friend much love and heartfelt joy! Thanks for being “you”. 🥳

I ❤️ today’s video and your dog is adorable 🥰 Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the new changes that you are making in your life. It made me think about me and the new changes that I have to make now that my son went to college. You are a treasure Janice.
Love your videos, Janice! And you are being true to yourself with this video format. When I was working in remote Africa in 2004 and transited through France on my way home, I desperately needed a haircut, color, and facial. I spoke very little French and took a chance, going into a Paris neighborhood salon. Well, it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life. My haircut was the best I have ever had and my skin looked like porcelain when all was finished. The ladies responsible for my transformation were as delighted as I was. I have never had a negative experience in France. ❤
Dear Janice, I was happily surprised by the notification of you back. Nice to hear you again. Congratulations coming in your previous style. It is such a joy to Hava you back. A hug.
🌹Love you Janice in France! You following your dream has encouraged me to seek and find my next life adventure. I'm going to sell my large home and buy a houseboat to live on water in a houseboat community. This has been in the works for about a year, and now I'm ready to move forward to buy my dream houseboat. Thank you Janice, you have helped me move beyond the thought that I'm too old at 70 to do this❤

Love the more relaxed styles of videos you make yourself Janice. You can upload when you want to, in your time, your way. Changes this month for me have been to declutter and be more minimalistic. It's so freeing! My sister lives in the little village of Meaulne near the Foret- de Troncais. She and her husband moved there from Holland.
Pretty much equal parts diced onions, carrots, zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, celery, and parsnip. Use about half as much red pepper diced. Sauté in olive oil in a large pot, stirring regularly, add salt and pepper early on. When vegetables are soft, add minced garlic and sauté a couple of minutes, making sure not to burn the garlic. Then add water to cover, bring to a boil, and then simmer for about an hour to 90 minutes. Add peeled russet potatoes (about a bit more than each other vegetable - maybe a couple of medium potatoes) cut into roughly 1” cubes, make sure everything is covered, and continue simmering for about another half hour until the potatoes are almost falling apart (which is why russets are preferred to other potatoes). Then take off the heat and use a “boat motor” (immersion blender) to purée; my wife prefers it not completely smooth and still having some chunks. Add hot water and simmer another 10-15 minutes if needed, but after making it a few times, you’ll get used to how much you need in the beginning and won’t need to add any. Salt and pepper to taste. You can add some finely chopped bacon shortly before adding the water and simmering initially, if you want. On another note, my understanding is that ALL of your US documents have to be translated for any government purpose, and there's a list of “official” translators that can be used (no matter how good your French might be, you can’t just translate yourself, for instance). I'm surprised they didn’t want a French bank (or at least another European bank with an IBAN number), which would presumably also have eliminated the need for translation. We plan on moving to Europe in a couple of years - probably France, but maybe Germany. My wife is German (dual citizenship), so I'm very lucky in not needing a regular long-term visa like most Americans trying to live long-term in Europe. Supposedly, I can get a residence permit after I get there, within the normal 90 day Schengen non-visa visa, and depending on the plans of the EU citizen, they CAN issue for up to 5 years right off the bat. But I also might be able to get Polish citizenship by descent MYSELF because of my grandfather, so that would make everything INCREDIBLY easy (literally just show up and sign up for healthcare).
I love the shoes. If I remember my history correctly, a couple of centuries ago the French thought corn was only food for pigs and other farm animals. Not thats a reason why corn isn’t easily available but corn is a staple in animal feed and of course as a biofuel. Corn in Mexico is a staple in almost every household with Corn Tortillas. Here at home (Texas) we love wrapping corn on the cob with foil paper and throwing it on the barbecue pit. Always enjoy your videos, best wishes.
Hi Janice, It’s always good to see you and that “coffee chat” is back! I’m am struggling though, with the echoey empty sound in the background. I own a interior designer, window covering, custom drapery service company. Drapery would definitely help in absorbing the hollow sound creating a warm background ambiance. Just a thought! If there is anyway I can be of help, I’m here for you! Your videos bring me an enjoyable distraction from the craziness of life!!
Janice, you are such a delight! I’ll be in France in November to celebrate my 50th birthday and my 12th wedding anniversary 😊it’s my favorite, my spouse n I are retiring in 5 years to France, I hope we can meet someday, I love your outlook and the experiences you share with us 🩵
I need to take you shopping. We buy corn all the time, either canned or on the cob to grill. It's sold grilled on the streets in Paris. Saw 3 sellers yesterday outside Cité Universitaire RER station. It's grown in France. My kids have all worked in the fields as a summer job, so did their father and his siblings.
Hi Janice, that park that you visit is stunning,so pretty, the grass area in your back yard looks like a lovely place to sit and chill out with little max❤
Welcome back, Janice! I prefer your "real life" videos to the staged and scripted ones. I was in Fountainebleau in July and checked your calendar but you were not available for a meeting. PS - Tip for cutting potatoes etc: First cut it in half, then lay it on the flat side while cutting - it's safer that way. Hope to see you on my next trip in the spring!
I hope to see you too. Thank you so much I knew that clip with that big knife and and everything was going to get everybody but I don’t have another knife so anyway, that was only thing I could use but I like the suggestion of turning them over thanks dear I appreciate that.
Corn is American. Here it is animal feed. You can buy corn on the cob in Caribbean, African and South American shops in Paris. Tinned tomatoes are either from Provence, Italy or Spain. The best in my opinion you can find in Paris is the brand Mutti (they’re Italian and the tastiest canned tomatoes).
Hi Janice, thank you for your videos. I appreciate your video on how to get a French visa when you were in the US. Can you make videos to share your experiences after you arrive in France, such as the appointment for a medical exam at OFII, applying for a French SSN, or tax ID? Do you required to take a French language test with OFII? Thank you in advance.
I agree with the comments regarding ‘chat time’. As a storyteller and teacher myself, I do like a bit of narrative … the elements…attention getter, mood music, etc… but your chat moments connect you to your audience in a personal way. I really miss the podcasts moments, which have the same effect. People want to hear life conversations .

Welcome Back 🤩
Thank you
Love Rotel❤
I love MAX !!!
Your black and white dress is so pretty🌿
Thank you
Pretty much equal parts diced onions, carrots, zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, celery, and parsnip.
Bonjour ,vous êtes une conteuse hors pair ,je vous souhaites un bon Week end
Merci
Well, I don’t know that custom drapery is in the budget for this year but maybe next. Thank you for watching me and thank you for your kind words.
Is your ebook no longer available? I followed the links, but it just said "Hey :) This typeform is now closed"
It is not available at the moment, but it will be soon
Janice, you are such a delight! I’ll be in France in November to celebrate my 50th birthday and my 12th wedding anniversary 😊it’s my favorite, my spouse n I are retiring in 5 years to France, I hope we can meet someday, I love your outlook and the experiences you share with us 🩵
Tell me a little bit ahead of time and we’ll just meet for coffee at my favorite place
You are just delightful. No wonder you have friends to do things with.
We are all delightful. We just have to search out what we want darling
Hello i have missed you!!!
Me too!!
@@fionaterris4855 I don’t eat corn that was just something I was going to put in there for company

You are so welcome!
I wondered what happened to you. Nice to see you back.
I think I wondered what happened to me too lol thank you so much
Just a quick question have you subscribed yet?
Beautiful flea market
Yes it was
Welcome back, Janice!
Of course, and if you’re over 65 you don’t have to take the French language course
Thanks!
Podcast are coming back too
Miss you Janice. ❤
I’m back and thank you
I got the black flats with a tiger in each foot
