I wish I would have seen this before panicking and ordering another dyson because my 5yr old dyson lost suction. Currently cleaning it to give it away. I will have a fresh new one in a few days and I will care for it much better! So thank you!
Really helpful video..although i cleaned my V6 regularly it was only the parts I could access. I’ve had it about 5years so when i came across your video I thought I had nothing to loose and it seemed reasonably straightforward. It’s still working well but it no longer smells bad. Thank you. 👍🏻
The first thing to do is to check if the little hinged valve in the inlet is operating freely. I enjoyed taking the whole thing apart but during reassembly found the flap valcve was stuck closed. Easily freed and cleaner is working perfectly. Very useful video.
Just got one of these cheap from ebay then found your YT channel. I just love how modular and user fixable these little things are. Thanks a million for this very helpful guide, I've already started on mine :-) Thumbs up, subscribed.
Thank you so much for the entire tutorial. I was about to give up my V8 but I'll be following your instruction and I will let you know later how well work
I enjoyed your comprehensive and detailed instructions . Im about to service my V6 dyson . It will be my last dyson . Not worth the outlay,$$$$$ . Thank you for your effort.😅
Found this really helpful. Can you tell me how to get the rollers on the brush head free of compacted hair? I’ve tried all sorts. Can I actually open the brush head up more and remove them?
Great Video. Was searching for a video of putting the suctioning dome back together in which i took apart the whole dome and washed gaskets and all. Hopefully, I can put it all back together properly.😅
Appreciate the v2 of the getting the back filter out came at right time - however I think you gloss over how hard it actually is to remove - my filter casing is pretty well wrecked in removing it but a bit of gaffa will fix that and the primary filter is like new again a bit of distressed clipping but for none user serviceable items - good job!
Great Channel! Just subscribed, my V6 got knocked over now it won't turn on, and the battery light does not come on at all, would it be the battery or the main unit? Thanks!
Great video, really helpful. This is going to be my project at some point over the weekend! You mentioned washing a number of parts - the bin has a couple of electrical connection points so do you cover those up or is the whole thing fine to completely wash ? Same for the cyclone, are there any contact points that need to stay dry? Thanks
Hi again, do you have monitor showing what you are recording that is in your view whilst you work? Seeing what we are seeing might help you ? Bob England PS on the battery removal there is a little gold coloured thing in the screw recess, what is it? And why does it appear to stop my screw going in? I lost original screw so using a replacement.
I edit the videos and zoom in from what I've recorded. what was it I missed while recording or didn't show enough of? what screw are you refusing to the one on the handle or the one in the base. there shouldn't be any gold items in the way they screw into the plastic there shouldn't be anything in the way. could it be the wrong screw?
Hi, I need to review the battery part and noticed you don’t use Chapters. Please start as we can go to the part we need to watch, I doubt people do the work on first view? I could be looking at the battery chapter rather than writing this text!! Lol Bob England
hi Bob, I do have the video set up in chapters at 6:20 IS the battery replacement part of the video. if you look in the description or slide your finger along the bottom line it shows the chapters and what's in them.

You helped give my nine-year-old V6 Animal a new lease on life. It's working as well as new. Thank you!

Very useful video.
I cover that in my loss of suction video and why a dyson pusles. but yes that's one of the first places to look if it's not working correctly.
This was super helpful. This and the how to fix ur brush bar if it’s not spinning video. Thanks so much x
Fantastic followed video exactly Dyson now working a treat. Thanks

I think you will find this useful.
Genius !
So helpful, thanks!
Thank you so much 🙏👍. Engineers of Dyson also wach this video and see their lack of vision on creating a product !

really hard to tell but I would guess the battery as you should get something on the led on the battery when you plug it in or pull the trigger.
@@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT I'll aim for that first! Thank you!
Great video! Can you tell me about the battery light? Is the blue light on or off when charging or in use?
on when charging on when in use and flashing when flat.
Very useful thanks
your welcome
You’re the best!

Thank you for the very informative video. I'm curious what the antibacterial water is? Do you mean hydrogen peroxide? Thank you!
no I use flash antibacterial cleaner, mix it up in a bowl with water. I just mean any antibacterial cleaner as it gets rid of bad orders
thank you so much!!!
your welcome. I hope it helped get your dyson as good as new.
Sweet. Ty
Should also unscrew cover on brush bar it cakes up solid with stuff and is easy to remove
Looks like these batteries can't be shipped to the US. So do I have to buy from Dyson?
surely there's a supplier from amazon or china who will ship to you.
Hi, if you are having issues you may ship to me in England and providing you pay the costs (in advance) I will ship to you 😊

@@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT thanks!
I can’t believe how they designed the hot air to exit past the electrical circuit
Didn't even dismantle the cyclone thingy. Arthur Job.
no need to on this.
