Any of you who buy for campaign only and still buying for this series, y’all must hate yourselves if you’re okay with a single player game being taken away from you just because you don’t have a Wi-Fi connection. Anyone who used Game-Pass for the series from now on though are the real smart ones. If online only games without microtransactions were subscription based, so many problems would be resolved.
Ngl I haven’t enjoyed a COD since BO3…and years later I’m glad to feel like a teen again absolutely addicted to BO6. It has its faults, but I’m really loving the hell out of this game.
They're not just scraping the bottom of the barrel, they are using different barrels and slap the COD name on it, next year it will have cozy game elements where you inherit a farm from Grandpa Woods.
Raven Software used to make some interesting fps games way back when, and they've been in CoD dev hell for over a decade now. I have no doubt they helped with some of the campaign, because some of these levels come off as the developers saying "we don't care anymore, put the zombies in the campaign". I don't understand why Treyarch hasn't just completely dove into making a zombie focused game when there's an entire sub-community that doesn't touch the multiplayer or campaign anymore.
Renn reviews are great he will say the funnest things and not linger on it for a second. "What they needed to do was to do was drive at you in a Gay line, you know zig and zag". 🤣🤣
To be honest cod devs can make good games but this franchise is so stale and safe that even their fans shit their pants whenever the franchise takes a different route. Remember when infinite warfare and black ops 3 had different enemy types they weren't, bad guy and bad guy with armor?
Perfect TIMING REN, i was loving this campagin untill it took a MASSIVE downturn in quality, pacing and gameplay polish during the second half, i was absolutely so bored from the bullet sponge enemies to the back jarring back and fourth im so disapointed
That was garbage too. Some of the worst maps to hit CoD. It was carried by an overhyped campaign, and weapon animations that created a wave of obnoxious gamers demanding everything be tacticool.
If they are to include invading people's memories, then they should just go full sci-fi. Set it in the far future in an Old Man's War setting or something.
havent bought a cod in a decade and got this cause its on gamepass. I enjoy it a lot, one thing thats annoying is sbmm, after you play a good round, in the next you get matched up to wannabe pros that constantly camp, snip from some houses etc if they fix this its a good cod imo
This doesn't matter if they "fix" sbmm or not. COD is a dead game. I've been enjoying BO3 modded zombies a lot more recently. BOCW zombies is good too. No way in hell I'm spending money on this garbage. I could try it on my brothers Gamepass because he's sharing his membership with me, but im not downloading a 200GB game....
@@The_One_Eyed_Rougeit's 200 for all the cods that bundled it with for some reason but blops6 is only 80gz zombies is ok they say it's round based but it feels not round based at all more like a free roam run around because the maps so big and mutiplayer is fun if you have a group of friends and don't take it seriously I just pick the sweetest dude on the other team and only go for him the whole game trying to buckshot him
The "roguelite" section you mentioned... I don't think that was on purpose I was able to tac-sprint, tackle, and dive over and around the barrels. I ended up finishing the whole thing first try. So I feel like that just might be how it worked out for you but I'm not confident that they were actually going for that concept. I only even noticed the timer just as I got to the end.
Frequent freezes Long load screens Long bootup Save file and recording corruption Huh. So, I guess if the game just didn't have a few technical issues then you would have loved the game?
The multiplayer, perks, guns, etc, feel really cookie cutter. Like approaching Ubisoft territory. I'm still having fun, but it doesn't feel unique, so it feels like I bought MW that was just out.
All CoD are exactly the same. Reskins, reskin maps, slightly adjusted weapon sounds to sound new. Team death match, run around shoot anyone not with blue indicator.
Really? Everyone I've talked to agrees it feels like a slightly better version of Cold War. Doesn't feel like MW series at all. The MP maps are absolutely awful and I've already given up on the game lol.
@@Bambam- "Doesn't feel like MW series at all." Bro they literally copy pasted the majority of assets over, it's literally a MW reskin... It looks and plays identical
You know, I'm tired of the quick climber things they use for elevator cables. I want them gone. Just take a damn elevator. I hate them. I think it's because I only ever saw them in warzone originally, and while warzone itself isn't overtly bad, it's taken over COD and stomped out what success they could've had. MW2019 was an AMAZING upgrade. The gunplay was amazing. It felt awesome. So many QOL changes. But because warzone was a free to play version, it got larger numbers, and they assumed that Warzone was just flat out better than COD because of those numbers. Yeah, open world COD is fun now and then, but it's NOT COD. And I'm tired of being reminded of this when they have these dumb cable pullers in campaigns. It's a good movement thing for MP, that's it.
I don’t play this game or this franchise anymore so don’t blame me for this. Go do a review of dragon age please because how did the writing and quest design get so dog water? I don’t need to be hand held 24/7 in a game and I feel that should be talked about more than stupid call of duty which I haven’t taken seriously since after advanced warfare.
I had a weird thing with the money. Xbox said there was an update for COD, and fine. But then I went into the game (I was at the 3rd mission), and saw that my money amount suddenly was in the millions. So I could buy all possible upgrades in one go, and still have loads left. So now I'm a very happy camper (well actually: not, since I am very hard to kill, and can kill very hard 😉).
Played and 100%ed every CoD up to BO1 but then lost all interest because it's so derivative. Now I'm an old man with a subscription to Game Pass I rarely take advantage off, so I figured, what the hey. After 4 or 5 missions I was bored as hell and couldn't stay awake. This series really peaked CoD4:MW and has just been treading water since. I have no idea how people can continue to be entertained by this same old shit. Same deal as the AC series.
I could understand ac because you get invested into the story and wanna see what happens next but cods story is so out there now I still have the image of woods in the metal shipping container in bo1 with his body all eaten up and gone
On a positive note, the cutscenes are gorgeous. Probably accounts for 90% of the budget at this point. If they just made animated movies/shows, I would definitely watch that. It's frustrating... every time a COD game has hints of something interesting, it's only a hint. They don't have the balls to fully lean into the realism angle, or the horror angle, or the sci-fi angle, or stealth, or open world, or roguelike... or any angle that would be halfway interesting and risky. So they just barely gesture at all of them. Then again, it's hard to blame them because COD players probably wouldn't want that shit anyway. They just want a polished and balanced multiplayer experience pretty much. I don't think they would be really supportive of something risky like a sci-fi/horror roguelike offshoot of COD, but I would love to see it. Once upon a time I might buy your game just because you released another one... but no more. Your game doesn't have to change the world for me to buy it, it just needs to have some kind of angle or identity, and an earnest attempt to explore it. Not just a gimmick and an earnest attempt to exploit it.
I'm not sure if you knew this, but the cod addicts such as myself who buy it every year. Do not TOUCH the campaign or zombies lol, we couldn't care less. We just want good maps for multilayer... That's legitimately all we want.
The campaign has always been the bottom of the barrel for me. If it weren’t for the blueprints I’d ignore it all together. The multiplayer is addicting and zombies is pretty cool But that’s not really my thing either
Cod does bare minimum- This guy- wow so refreshing and they tried wow I kinda had fun kinda, guess I’ll give them my money again next year This is why cod sucks now
On my Xbox, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is a lot less buggy. Maybe because Xbox bought Activision, they wanted the game to be good on the console and didn't care as much about the PC port.
I'd say that the "rougelite" section was more of like a deathloop/minit-esque metroidvania. Yeah, you are starting over like in typical rougelites, but It's very much follows that aspect of knowledge or items being what keeps you from progress. Plus, the items you got are put there specifically for the puzzle, and not something you unlock over the course of separate playthroughs.
I can totally understand hating the game with those issues. I just downloaded it off GamePass, beat it in 2 days with no technical issues, and had ended up really liking it. To be fair the multiplayer mode has crashed on me a bunch.
Honestly this could have been an 8 out of 10 game for me. But it seems like me and alot of people are having save progress lost completely and thats just unacceptable. Also i know some people like it but I hate CODs version of "stealth" if you can even call it that. Just give me more guns and a huge shootout. All that being said its a step in the right direction for somethings but with the bugs, glitches and stealth. I'm going 5 or 6 out of 10. I will say I love the zombies but even that could have been better.
I really love black ops 6 but I still appreciate and value your criticism of it. That being said, I was more than a little relieved to see the title was hyperbolic and you enjoyed it at least a little lol.
Never played any COD or BF game and I guess you cant have a Masterpiece every year on yearly releases. The naming scheme alone makes it hard to follow. But the community has their picks that mostly go like Cod 4 -> World at War -> MW2 -> Black Ops. The newest title that gets recommended is MW2019. There have been good missions sprinkled through the last games but no game had a good " run" from start to end...
Zombies is really really fun again and honestly the story was really fun (except that open world mission) but multiplayer I barely touch with a 50ft stick
only a minute in and this feels like Bill Nye: Video Game Edition....thats a good thing. WAIT A MINUTE YOURE THE STARFIELD GUY WHY WASNT I SUBSCRIBED YET?!
I find it really funny how people still expect something from this franchise. Like, did you not see it coming after the 21th failed entry to the series?
I'm not a sellout streamer or trend chasing UA-camr, so I tapped out at Black Ops 2, like most everybody else who doesn't get picked up at the bus stop still.
Seeing that horror level reminded me of Control and now I wonder what it'd be like if Activision leaned into that kind of stuff. It probably wouldn't be good, but it'd atleast be interesting.
surprisingly i have only experienced a single crash so far with BO6, my experience has been considerably more stable than on Black Ops 4, which was the last CoD i picked up and played for real before this one
@thientuongnguyen2564 why would i? Have you even read my comment? I said i haven't even played a CoD for real since Black Ops 4 (LITERALLY ALL i played from this franchise since BO4 were the Open Betas), and that was tragic at launch, especially on PC Now, if YOU are having problems with BO6 that's your problem, all i did was talk about MY experience, which has been considerably better than expected for a CoD release. Skill issue, sucks to suck i guess
I have very mixed opinions on this game (that I haven't even played yet), because there's so many people that are saying it's good, but then there's people that are saying it's utter trash. Honestly, I'm just going to play the older CODs. I'm so done with modern gaming.
Regarding the zombies level, it'a obviously heavily inspired by Atomic Heart, while the mannequins only moving when you're not looking has been done in Ghostwire: Tokyo. It is original for the franchise, but it felt very unoriginal to me.

As a cod fan since WaW, I have been really enjoying BO6 and it’s been much better than the more recent releases!
8:27 what the fuck? Is this really how they think cameras or retinal scanners work? Lmfao
Turns out Black Ops 6 is a horror game, though sometimes it's psychological and sometimes it's technological.
Free with game pass......But still requires you to delete most of your game library to download. I think I'll pass...no pun intended.
Yup. Lol
FOR REAL!!
It's only 80ish gigs for black ops only

Any of you who buy for campaign only and still buying for this series, y’all must hate yourselves if you’re okay with a single player game being taken away from you just because you don’t have a Wi-Fi connection. Anyone who used Game-Pass for the series from now on though are the real smart ones. If online only games without microtransactions were subscription based, so many problems would be resolved.
I haven't played a Call of Duty since United Offensive, lol.
Dmz was awesome
Last one I played was the OG MW3
@@Gameprojordan og mw2 was chefs kiss fr
@@AC-hj9tvdmz was ok stopped playing after they added skins they let you come in with a large backpack and level 3 armor right out the gate
United Offensive's Base Assault gamemode is probably still one of the best Call of Duty experiences.
So the plot of the story is just The Winter Soldier? When they framed Bucky for killing Iron Man's par... I mean Adler's ..I mean...
What?
Ngl I haven’t enjoyed a COD since BO3…and years later I’m glad to feel like a teen again absolutely addicted to BO6. It has its faults, but I’m really loving the hell out of this game.
They're not just scraping the bottom of the barrel, they are using different barrels and slap the COD name on it, next year it will have cozy game elements where you inherit a farm from Grandpa Woods.
Like O'Hare Air said in the Lorax:
🎵 🎶 "Let's it die, let it die. Let it shrivel up and die!" 🎶 🎵
IUDs? Intra uterine devices? Good wordplay on IED if it was on purpose.
I wasn't sure if people would get that one!
@@RennsReviews Clocked it cuz I had one lol
Raven Software used to make some interesting fps games way back when, and they've been in CoD dev hell for over a decade now. I have no doubt they helped with some of the campaign, because some of these levels come off as the developers saying "we don't care anymore, put the zombies in the campaign". I don't understand why Treyarch hasn't just completely dove into making a zombie focused game when there's an entire sub-community that doesn't touch the multiplayer or campaign anymore.
the devs are practically screaming for an Advanced Warfare sequel or another futuristic black ops game. let them make it please
Renn reviews are great he will say the funnest things and not linger on it for a second.
"What they needed to do was to do was drive at you in a Gay line, you know zig and zag".
🤣🤣
Yeah that cracked me up as well 🤣
Inside their hearts, everyone knows the gay line is the superior strategy

Lmao I know they’re the IEDs cousin
"How does it feel to get slop from one of the biggest gaming companies, year after year?"
COD Fans: "Feels great.."
To be honest cod devs can make good games but this franchise is so stale and safe that even their fans shit their pants whenever the franchise takes a different route. Remember when infinite warfare and black ops 3 had different enemy types they weren't, bad guy and bad guy with armor?
Call of Bloatware 6
That mannequin section reminded me from other game I just finished few months ago. Robocop Rogue City. Oh and Condemned back in xbox360.
I don’t understand how this dudes videos aren’t on trending or at least blowing up more.
Perfect TIMING REN, i was loving this campagin untill it took a MASSIVE downturn in quality, pacing and gameplay polish during the second half, i was absolutely so bored from the bullet sponge enemies to the back jarring back and fourth im so disapointed
Same here. I was hoping for another open world section
MW19 was the last decent cod. Everything else is grabage fluff. Thanks steam for the refund 👍
That was garbage too. Some of the worst maps to hit CoD. It was carried by an overhyped campaign, and weapon animations that created a wave of obnoxious gamers demanding everything be tacticool.
Campaign? Yes.
MP? Absolutely fucking not.
If they are to include invading people's memories, then they should just go full sci-fi. Set it in the far future in an Old Man's War setting or something.
I wont buy it once again, my last COD game was Black Ops 3...
You’re really showing them dude
@@riisky2411 LEAVE THE MULTIBILLION COMPANY ALONE
Best cod ever.
Renn, you don't need the glasses to look cool.
havent bought a cod in a decade and got this cause its on gamepass.
I enjoy it a lot, one thing thats annoying is sbmm, after you play a good round, in the next you get matched up to wannabe pros that constantly camp, snip from some houses etc
if they fix this its a good cod imo
This doesn't matter if they "fix" sbmm or not. COD is a dead game. I've been enjoying BO3 modded zombies a lot more recently. BOCW zombies is good too. No way in hell I'm spending money on this garbage.
I could try it on my brothers Gamepass because he's sharing his membership with me, but im not downloading a 200GB game....
@@The_One_Eyed_Rougeit's 200 for all the cods that bundled it with for some reason but blops6 is only 80gz zombies is ok they say it's round based but it feels not round based at all more like a free roam run around because the maps so big and mutiplayer is fun if you have a group of friends and don't take it seriously I just pick the sweetest dude on the other team and only go for him the whole game trying to buckshot him
@@The_One_Eyed_Rouge It's not dead, people keep buying and playing it... This is precisely the issue
They will never fix sbmm
@@Digger-Nick they already mentioned it will be in their patch bro
The "roguelite" section you mentioned... I don't think that was on purpose I was able to tac-sprint, tackle, and dive over and around the barrels. I ended up finishing the whole thing first try. So I feel like that just might be how it worked out for you but I'm not confident that they were actually going for that concept. I only even noticed the timer just as I got to the end.
RennsReviews video is out, my day is much better now!
Cant help but think they stole the mannequin mechanic from Voices of the void.
The RC cars you WERE going to complain about either way.
Frequent freezes
Long load screens
Long bootup
Save file and recording corruption
Huh. So, I guess if the game just didn't have a few technical issues then you would have loved the game?
Nope, I would've thought it was decent.
Another cod game that I’ll rent for a week when it has all the dlc and forget about it after 😂
Gamestop still wants $54.99 for MW3? That's hilarious and sad at the same time.
A gay line lol
The multiplayer, perks, guns, etc, feel really cookie cutter. Like approaching Ubisoft territory. I'm still having fun, but it doesn't feel unique, so it feels like I bought MW that was just out.
All CoD are exactly the same. Reskins, reskin maps, slightly adjusted weapon sounds to sound new.
Team death match, run around shoot anyone not with blue indicator.
Dude, CoD has been copy & pasting assets long before Ubisoft even made Farcry 3.
Really? Everyone I've talked to agrees it feels like a slightly better version of Cold War. Doesn't feel like MW series at all.
The MP maps are absolutely awful and I've already given up on the game lol.
@@Bambam- "Doesn't feel like MW series at all."
Bro they literally copy pasted the majority of assets over, it's literally a MW reskin... It looks and plays identical
@Digger-Nick if that's your opinion man, to me (and every other semi pro/am I talk to) it feels like Cold War.
To each their own.
Oh yeah! Renns Reviews and it's outside! My favorite type of video!
It's a good movement thing for MP, that's it.
already seen the video 3 times, loved it every time
I… guess the last title wasn’t doing it for you.
Scratch that, ghosts!
Dragon age is next on my list of videos!
Thank you for your service sir i love your videos ❤️
Funny and entertaining as ever👌🏻
The multiplayer is addicting and zombies is pretty cool
But that’s not really my thing either
You know the game is going to be defacated upon, when you see Renn dressed up and being a menace to the general public in a mall or something.
Nice, I have Warby Parker glasses and they're good quality with a wide variety of shades and lenses, awesome to see you got a sponsorship!
Stop changing thumbnail, it's ok to call the game's trash
Cod does bare minimum-
This guy- wow so refreshing and they tried wow I kinda had fun kinda, guess I’ll give them my money again next year
This is why cod sucks now
Ah, the recording getting stuck on one frame and picking up only audio. I vividly remember getting this during the Black Ops 3 days
Been having more fun in zombies now than I have in years. It helps that expectations were pretty non existent going in.
Giving support to RennsReviews because you are changing the title and thumbnail often so more people would watch your video.
The quality of Jerome "Champagne" Renn's reviews are unmatched.
In 100 hrs on ultra graphics settings @120 fps and refresh rate, and no driver updates in months, I’ve crashed twice lmao
NO THE ADLER THUMBNAIL 😢😢
How is the AI in Halo on a Pentium 3 Xbox CPU still better than this?
Because those developers cared about the player experience not filling their pockets full of cash 😂
That title change is an insane 180
Loved how you used the Battlefield theme song in the background towards the end haha
surprisingly i have only experienced a single crash so far with BO6, my experience has been considerably more stable than on Black Ops 4, which was the last CoD i picked up and played for real before this one
Do you say that every year when a new CoCK is released?
@thientuongnguyen2564 why would i? Have you even read my comment? I said i haven't even played a CoD for real since Black Ops 4 (LITERALLY ALL i played from this franchise since BO4 were the Open Betas), and that was tragic at launch, especially on PC
Now, if YOU are having problems with BO6 that's your problem, all i did was talk about MY experience, which has been considerably better than expected for a CoD release. Skill issue, sucks to suck i guess
The irony of using the Battlefield theme music towards the end of a CoD video. 😂
Bo3 had the same mannequin easter egg on nuketown, which was years before ghostwire
@complimentbot7015 Oh, that's the only BO campaign I skipped 😁
