Lego Darth Maul's...was that somebody's idea of an April Fool's Day prank? That's HILARIOUS. I had never seen that before so I almost spit my coffee all over the screen here.
For all the Protosabers with cables, why don't they just run it along your arm? that way you don't have a giant tangley mess that disables your lightsaber when cut.
Wouldn't a light-pike using a magma kyber crystal retain all the advantages and minimal disadvantages? Greater reach Dangerous blade that spits lava is now near your enemy and not you Still heavier and slower Minimize the danger by using beskar for important parts of the hilt this is the weapon I'd want for a a duel I'd probably want a dual-phased saber with a longer beskar hilt to allow for more varied combat in general.
If I had to choose a lightsaber I think I would want a Zweihandler styled cross guard saber in either black or white. Meaning a triple handed length handle with a blade between 5 and 5 and a half foot long similar to my family sword. We’re Poles and have a claymore styled great sword that was passed down our family line until it ended up in my father’s hands and finally me. It’s seen warlike and decorative purposes. It was even involved in the resistance of the nazis and survived the Warsaw insurrection. I think I would be trying to pay homage to it.
I'll admit, with all of the deep cut references in the game I was kinda sad lego star wars the skywalker saga didn't let you play as jocasta nu with the lightsaber rifle.
I would use a double-bladed lightsaber, hinged double-bladed lightsaber, and/or a splitsaber. They would be ideal for the completely new form I’d create, which involves using The Force to rapidly spin the blades in front of you as a shield and also using acrobatics. Overall the form would be primarily a more defensive form, but at times, used highly aggressively during offensive manuvers
The Lightsaber Rifle is basically Star Wars’s version of the Wing Gundam and Wing Zero’s buster rifles from Gundam Wing, but smaller. Like the buster rifles, it still packs one helluva punch. However, like the Wing Gundam’s (TV version) buster rifle, it’s only limited to a few shots.
I do believe Luke also had an adjustable blade at some point. In a Legends story, when he was trying to get into or exit an area, he had set his Lightsaber to make a shorter, less noticeable blade to open a gate or door. It's been a long time, so I can't remember the exact story beats.
Hard choice given their are multiple interesting ones but i think double bladed that can be split into two offers the most versatile option so csn use a double bladed, two sabers or a single one I also think should do a video on none saber melee weapons
I always find myself falling in the gray Jedi zone. As such I would chose a Duel-Phase Light Saber, with a Terresta (dark core) orange Crystal modified with a red Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse Lightsaber.
Well. My main jedi in swtor uses a lightsaber hilt that has holes in it similar to heated exhaust tubes has yellowish orange crystal that looks exactly like a lava blade and also the incinerator tunning which makes the hilt look like it’s super heated at the emitter section and the blade looks like it produces a lot of heat. So out of all these I guess I’d use a lava crystal even though my jedi is light side. I rotate between that and a white cross guard lightsaber
Personally, I would wield a Split Saber, two sabers that can join together into a dbl-bladed lightsaber, and it would be blue, ergo, I would be a Jedi. Other designs I like are the standard, the hinged dbl-bladed, the blaster-saber hybrid, the tonfa saber, the shoto saber, the spinning saber, and the saber gauntlet
If the Blade doesn't add any weight when activated... I'd use Twin Broadsabers (I just wanna Dual-wield Claymores) with the connection like the Splitsabers (Have only 1 end active while connected for a longer grip, or disconnect them to trick opponents), and have them use either Ghostfire Crystals or Krayt Dragon Pearls for their thematic effects.
I'd personally go for a saber-pike/shoto blade combination. I can hold the smaller blade while I'm using the pike and use it to defend if someone closes the gap.
I have an idea for a better blaster-saber. A bayonet hand canon: get two kyber crystals, one for a shoto-saber bayonet, and the other for a kyber blaster. The hilt can adjust between straight or curved (though to do it mid combat would require special designs)
I'd have a regular and a gauntlet on my left arm with interchangeable parts. Stun blaster like Ezra's, duo shoto (the art showed duuo regular), something like the parasol to have it spin to be a shield (or just a beskar shield), and a whip on low intensity to not be harmful. Only the emitter is what's being swapped out so each attachment doesn't need a crystal. You could carry the attachments on your belt or something. And the beskar shield could collapse and open up so ppl don't know what it is. S&S is always a good technique
What lightsaber or lightsabers I would use has been an in-depth conversation I've had with a lot of my star wars fan friends, i personally would learn the trick Darth Treya used to have 3 lightsabers fight without me holding them, while I would personally be armed with a guard-shoto and a lightwhip.
I originally preferred the curved hilt saber for its elegant design, but I've recently begun to favor a lightsaber pike. A Shoto saber would be my hold out weapon for low - profile work.
The light halbert. Its a cross guard saber with a long grip and sabers out of both ends but one with an equidistant cross guard snd blade. Super impractical but pretty badass looking with the halbert blade end dragging behind you.
I think I'd probably wield a purple crossguard saber with a metal crossguard. That, or the lava saber, considering I've played the Vr Star Wars game, "Vader Immortal"
I'd make a variant saber where the blades took on a halbert shape with an axe head on one side, a pike on the other and a spear tip. The handle being a long foldable handle for easy storage. With shoto function to be able to adjust the size of the axe blade and the length of the pike and spear tips. And, water proof.
Either the light whip or the double-sided spinning blade, being able to fly could give a big advantage to a fight, imagine just floating over someone and attacking them from behind before they knew what happened.

Would love too see more green an purple in the future, i also didnt know there was orange lightsabers so that was cool
All of these lightsabers are so cool AM so excited to see more New lightsaber types in future of star wars
only if disney will give up star wars to lucasfilm again 🤷♂️
Blud forgot about phineas and ferb special
Love your videos
For all the Protosabers with cables, why don't they just run it along your arm? that way you don't have a giant tangley mess that disables your lightsaber when cut.
Exactly!
Agreed
Wouldn't a light-pike using a magma kyber crystal retain all the advantages and minimal disadvantages?
Greater reach
Dangerous blade that spits lava is now near your enemy and not you
Still heavier and slower
Minimize the danger by using beskar for important parts of the hilt
this is the weapon I'd want for a a duel
I'd probably want a dual-phased saber with a longer beskar hilt to allow for more varied combat in general.
What about the 5-bladed spinning lightsabers from the Phineas and Ferb Star Wars crossover thing?
Lord Corvax’s lightsaber can be considered a single-blade saber or a new type ?
If I had to choose a lightsaber I think I would want a Zweihandler styled cross guard saber in either black or white. Meaning a triple handed length handle with a blade between 5 and 5 and a half foot long similar to my family sword. We’re Poles and have a claymore styled great sword that was passed down our family line until it ended up in my father’s hands and finally me. It’s seen warlike and decorative purposes. It was even involved in the resistance of the nazis and survived the Warsaw insurrection. I think I would be trying to pay homage to it.
I'm curious, what about the force saber made it require use of the dark side? I love the thought of a light foil and force saber combo
The Double Bladed Light Saber! That would definitely be my Light Saber of choice!
I just realized that maul’s saber staff is exactly like the training lightsabers 3:53 2:44
No matter what whacky designs are added in the future, the dual-blade lightsaber will always be hands down the coolest.
I'll admit, with all of the deep cut references in the game I was kinda sad lego star wars the skywalker saga didn't let you play as jocasta nu with the lightsaber rifle.
Spinning lightsabers were so ridiculous it almost ruined Rebels for me.
"Im marry poppins, y'all!" ~Inquisitor Yondu
Weren't there repulsors in the hilts so they could hover? A lot of people are under the false impression that the blades spinning created lift
It still looks dumb@@flap.d.jack247
I would use a double-bladed lightsaber, hinged double-bladed lightsaber, and/or a splitsaber. They would be ideal for the completely new form I’d create, which involves using The Force to rapidly spin the blades in front of you as a shield and also using acrobatics. Overall the form would be primarily a more defensive form, but at times, used highly aggressively during offensive manuvers
I kind of think the standard lightsabers strength is in it's elegant simplicity, anything more only makes it gimmicky.
I would dual wield with a curved hilt lightsaber with a lava crystal in my left with a green broadsaber in my right.
Hard choice given their are multiple interesting ones but i think double bladed that can be split into two offers the most versatile option so csn use a double bladed, two sabers or a single one
I also think should do a video on none saber melee weapons
I always find myself falling in the gray Jedi zone. As such I would chose a Duel-Phase Light Saber, with a Terresta (dark core) orange Crystal modified with a red Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse Lightsaber.
I’m sure yoda “hated” it 😂😂 considering his wise words of “fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to sufferingggg” 🤔
You got my vote immediately when you called it Anakins saber, and not Luke's!
I would wield curved, flicker phase split sabers. One purple, one orange.
Thank you so much for this!!!
I hope at some point they do another blaster hybrid saber in the style of the Gunblade from Final Fantasy.
The pyke and shoto will be a really good duo
I would kill for this to be a series. A lightsaber academy like cobra kai or something
I’ve always loved the force pike, for some reason
oo a flickerphase saber or foil sounds like quite a handy idea ;)
If i could merge all of these lightsabers into one id be pretty happy
I originally preferred the curved hilt saber for its elegant design, but I've recently begun to favor a lightsaber pike. A Shoto saber would be my hold out weapon for low - profile work.
I like the whip, scythe and the gauntlet they look fun to use ngl
My favorite types of Star wars sabers are Standard lightsaber, curved-hilt saber, Farkiller, & Saberstaff.
My favorite is crossguard.
Either the light whip or the double-sided spinning blade, being able to fly could give a big advantage to a fight, imagine just floating over someone and attacking them from behind before they knew what happened.
