    I totally agree with you, that EMDR can work for anxiety and depression! I did have a trauma several, and EMDR really helped. But I know how much EMDR helped me heal and I’m now wanting to apply it to my anxiety and depression. Thank you for the video!

    Loved this!! Thank you for sharing! As an EMDR trained therapist, what does a session look like for anxiety with no trauma experience? I’d love to observe or see the protocol. Thank you!

    thanks Kambria, you mentioned 'very few people can't change due to neuroplasty' - who are those people? Also i wondered about what you're thoughts are around EMDR and neurodiversity?

    Does it work for ocd?

  • @woodyshade
    @woodyshade 7 днів тому

    I had early exposure to pornography and sexual exposure to acts without being involved. I developed ocd after a while with compulsion related to push away sexual pictures and body feelings connected to anxiety and disgust. I see this as a complex trauma and a proto fertilizer for the ocd. Would emdr help cleaning the trauma and lessen the ocd related to it? I ask because the therapist and the psychologists I see are skeptical of treating and seeing my ocd as traumatic based. Nobody wants to listen to me when I talk about traumatic experiences or at least as I felt them.

    i had so many changes at once. Had a new job, moves to a different area, got a GF. started driving lessons, also some stressors at home.
    First day at my new job i felt anxiety and kept going. Than after couple weeks a had a panic attack in public transportation. After that i didnt want to go to work anymore. Still able to do things outside the house. i told him i was ill (couple days ill, not knowing it was anxiety). First thing he said was, we need to call a absense organisation (dont know the english word sorry). It scared me so much and than i visited a psychologist.
    The moment i got the label anxiety disorder everything changes. From functioning anxiety (except work) to agoraphobia.
    CBT not really working and EMDR for just anxiety without trauma is new. Is there a protocol so i can do it myself or?
    I dont know my root cause.. open to try everything.
    Thanks in advance
