    EMDR was tough at the beginning but led to some break throughs. I met my inner child and made her cry so I’ve been working on self blame. My anxiety is way down.

    My therapist does EMDR along with IFS. It has been so life changing for me

    I was able to get relief from some childhood trauma with the EMDR therapy and using the handheld devices. I ended up leaving that Dr though and found another person who could help me finish my treatment. Then she didn’t work out for me after trying the treatment with her. My anxiety now is from the years of raising my children, and that just seems like a lot of years to do, so I’m back with my original therapist who is very supportive of me and my life. This work is hard, and deep, and so worth it.

    Thankyou for this valuable video Barbara. What if client is unable to pinpoint an actual event from childhood that links to the panic feeling? What would you recommend?

    So what you’re saying is like if there’s some kind of thing, I don’t like, like the sound of certain peoples voices, reminds me of a tunafish sandwich. So then I should expose myself to peoples voices or tuna fish?

      You know, if you get like wheat bread, or some nice whole-grain bread and you toasted especially on both sides and it’s crispy and then if you mix your tuna with like celery, that’s crunchy?

      I enjoy your sense of humor! And, basically, yes IF the 'not liking' rises to the point it is creating pain in your life. If you simply don't like tuna fish, don't eat it!
