Oh man, I WISH I could hear OK Computer for the first time again. I was a huge Jeff Buckley fan and was devastated when he died. Not long after that I started hearing a song on the radio that blew me away and I wondered if it was an unreleased Jeff Buckley song. I always managed to miss the back announcement so I didn't know for sure. The music press I used to read mentioned nothing about any posthumous Jeff Buckley songs but all of them were raving about the new Radiohead album. A few reviewers whose music taste I respected were calling it the album of the century. So I went out and bought it on a whim, not knowing anything about the band or what they sounded like. I got home, plonked the cd in my stereo, put on my headphones, and laid on my bed to listen. When "Paranoid Android" came on I realised it was the song I was hearing on the radio that I thought may have been Jeff Buckley. I listened to the album all the way through. When it ended, and the last ding on "The Tourist" faded out, I laid there for what seemed like an eternity. I couldn't move. I didn't want to move. I was dumbstruck and in utter awe. The reviewers were right. And when I finally summoned the strength to move again, I reached up to my stereo and pressed play again to make sure I didn't just imagine all of it. I hadn't. Even now, 25 years later, I still think it's the most perfect album I've ever heard. Watching you on this journey has brought me so much joy, and like I said in the first sentence, I wish I could hear it for the first time again.
What an incredible comment! thank you so much for sharing your story, part of what makes hearing bands like Radiohead for the first time so incredible is the amazing stories I hear along the way! Thank you for following my journey through their sounds!
This album was and is Devastating . When it came out, I listened to it for 2 months straight and nothing else. Brought me to tears many times. For me, This album is the Dark side of the moon of the 90s. A Masterpiece. One of THE Greatest albums ever made.
No surprises is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I have ever heard. I love the almost childlike instrumentals and the depressing ass lyrics that accompany it it’s a beautiful combination
Subterranean Homesick Alien changed my whole world when I first heard it….still does. The 1-2 punch of that and Exit Music is just almost too much to bear. Pure genius.
Great reaction! It’s worth noting this album came out in 1997 dealing with themes of technology & a growing sense of disconnect taking the listener on a journey that, while abstract on first listen wraps up with “The Tourist” telling us to slow down. The fact it so accurately predicted the future makes the album even more brilliant (here we are today saying Ok Google and being more connected than ever, yet at the same time stuck in our own little bubbles)
I am soooo jealous of watching people discover Radiohead for the first time ! But to see your reactions really reminded me of why I consider this band the greatest of the modern era. Absolutely fantastic 👏 keep up the great work. For me the 'In Rainbows' LP from 2007 is their best, please give it a listen. 👌
Thank you so much Matt, it has been such an incredible journey I have been so lucky to check them out at this point in my life, it just feels like the right time! keen to see what they have to offer next!
An interesting element to this album is it’s circular theme. We start with the car crash, from which he comes back stronger and more alive, through to the tourist being implored to slow down. The final sound we hear is a triangle which confirms the closed circularity of the album. This is all in addition to the extraordinary sonic journey we are treated to, an album for all ages.
I always thought that this was the technologically advanced version of Dark Side of the Moon and when I heard that high pitched glockenspiel bell I thought, "Money! the fucking till chime on Money!!!" I think it was their nod to Floyd tbh. Oh and the title is from an Astro Boy comic.
Paranoid Android will always be my most favoritest Radiohead track. No matter how many more albums they're going to release (not holding my breath here), nothing will ever compare
I'm sure you have done it already. Listen to the album with no stop the songs flow into each other like a flows of a river. The transition from Exit music into Let down is just perfect .
I remember I was 18 when this album came out and everybody at school was like:”have you listened to the last Radiohead album??? It’s amazing mate!!! Go and buy it!!!” 😂 glad you are discovering their music. Enjoy! Ciao from Italy
That scream at the end of Climbing The Walls isn't into the mic, incidentally, Thom screams into the pickups of his guitar. That's how it sounds how it does.
The entire album is an absolute masterclass in production! Not to mention the timeless writing and performance. Top notch album start to finish, one of the best of all time!
@@holliswilliams8426 Yep, you're right! That's Nigel Godrich, who's been producing all their albums from OK Computer onward. He's also in another band with Thom Yorke, called Atoms for Peace. 😀
I remember hearing Paranoid Android in High School... my reaction (every single time the video came on MTV).... was exactly yours. I still can't get over it.
Brilliant mate. Glad you enjoyed it but it actually gets better with every spin, Radiohead is like planting a seed, with every listen to their projects the connection grows. It's quite hard to listen to anything else once it takes hold of you.
Just watched this for the first time, loved your reaction. It’s an album that means so much to me. When i was 17, my best friend committed suicide, and as soon as I heard i reached for the first album to hand to just collect my thoughts. I didn’t know how to handle the news, the album was OK Computer. To this day it means so much to me. Im 41 now, and it still takes me on a journey every time I hear it. Watching you react to it was a joy. Loved it.
Paranoid Android blew me away when I first heard it as a kid, but when I finally listened to the rest of the album...I had the exact same reaction to the start of Subterranean Homesick Alien
I adore Radiohead so so much. Not many other bands make me FEEL as much as Radiohead does - between the instrumentals and Thom's soaring vocals. Thom has one of the most amazing, raw, pure talented voices I've ever heard. It's hard for me to pick a favorite album, or even song. I love every album for different reasons, because they're all so separate and unique. A Moon Shaped Pool and Hail to the Thief are high up there with Ok Computer. I can't wait to watch you experience the rest of their music. Watching you experience each emotion as they hit you is really special.
Thanks Loki! This was one I was very keen to check out, and finally reaching it on the channel was special. Was such an emotive and impactful journey that I will never forget. Im super pumped for the next project amnesiac and to eventually get to both a moon shaped pool and hail to the thief. Thank you for the kind words and hopefully you can continue to watch my journey through their albums :)
I got into Radiohead properly this year too and without a doubt, Ok Computer is my favourite of them all. For me personally; because I was diagnosed as autistic this year right before I got around to listening to Ok Computer for the first time ever, by the the time I did - it felt like this album was made for me almost. Like the stars aligned through receiving that new insight about myself - and having it reflected back at me through an entire album. I mean the themes of feeling like an outsider, being expected to conform in ways that I naturally can't, expressing how I feel politically.... I could go on. I had the same reaction to Paranoid Android like you did - that song is like..... wtf magnificent. My top tracks aside from that one though are Subterranean Homesick Alien (me in a song haha), No Surprises, Fitter, Happier, Karma Police and of course Exit Music (For a film). You're doing RH justice and I love your reaction to this album in particular! I'd love to see you in future react to Nirvana's other two album's: Bleach and In Utero - and maybe some of their live performances too. I love RH so much but Nirvana and the Foo's are where it's at for me :) Thank you!
Such a wild ride hey Laura! so awesome to hear how this album has impacted you, love that! Truly appreciate you sharing this! Im very keen to head back to nirvana at some point on the channel! thank you for checking out the videos :)) Love the foos's
I can’t tell you how much joy this brought! OK Computer literally changed my life and I’ve always said “what I wouldn’t give to be able to go back and listen to it for the first time again”. Being granted the privilege of watching you listen for the first time, having your mind blown track after track, provided a glimmer of that wish. Thank you! Really awesome to go on that journey with you! Re: Electioneering, I’m sure others have said it in the comments but, while on its own it’s not a track I adore, in the flow of the album it comes alive and feels essential. As awesome as your listening experience was, I do think it might’ve been somewhat muted by pausing between tracks. Like something like Dark Side of the Moon, Radiohead definitely carefully constructed OK Computer to be listened to straight through. When you do, Electioneering suddenly becomes greater than the sum of its parts. If I could’ve given you one bit of advice prior to listening it would’ve been, if there are any two tracks to listen to back to back, straight through, it’s Fitter Happier through to Electioneering. Interested to hear your further thoughts after you relisten, uninterrupted (…maybe with some herbal accompaniment, if you partake).
Thank your the kind comment! Im really glad you enjoyed the video I had so much fun with this album. I have listened to this album front to back a multitude of times since this first listen and each time it does seem to feel more complete, each song rolls into each other so nicely. Fitter, happier rolls into electioneering in such an effective way much like you mentioned. Karma police has one of the best outros I have ever heard. I can't tell you how many times I have listened to that song since this reaction. So keen to continue the journey
@@cavemanjack This is such an outstanding album. As incredible it is to listen to for the first time, us older people were so blown away with how much of an evolution it was from their previous album "The Bends", which was also incredible but much more orthodox. We didn't know what hit us, but we knew it was a watershed moment in music. I saw Radiohead on this tour with Spiritualized opening for them and it was one of the most amazing concert experiences of my life.
Paranoid Android is for Radiohead what A Day In the Life is for The Beatles. It feels like each member came up with a song of their own and somehow they work incredibly well all mixed together. It’s like jazz. Great reaction, m8!!
One of the reasons I love reactions is to see people experience what I experienced when I first listened to this music. How I wish I could listen to Radiohead for the first time time again. Good job brother
Sending lots of good thoughts mate! Thank you for checking out the Video Dan, this comment means a lot to me! im really glad you enjoyed the reaction man, music is such a powerful tool
I got to see these guys live back when In Rainbows came out. It was a particularly special show because this was the first tour in a while where they were doing material from OK Computer. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best show I've ever been to.
This album is 4th best for me, behind Kid A, A Moon-Shaped Pool, and In Rainbows. Can't wait until you react to those two, those are just golden for me
Phenomenal reaction, made me want to go back and relisten to the album again! I'll echo the others in the comments and say you should definitely listen to In Rainbows, but I'd also like to put in a bid for A Moon Shaped Pool - I think you'll be surprised by how different it is yet how undeniably 'Radiohead' it is. I think you'd like it a lot! Thanks for sharing these - I only wish I filmed my reactions when I got into them a year ago, it literally changed my life haha
Haha hilarious and great reaction as always. Can't wait for the next RH album! In Rainbows is my favorite, first album after their original contract. Ended up releasing it basically for free, you could pay $0.00 if you wanted. Exit music for a Film was written for a Romeo and Juliet movie, but was cut out. Think they used one of Thoms solo songs instead, but I could be wrong
My friend, Exit Music is the…exit music! for Romeo & Juliet. 😜 It plays over the end credits. The other track on the soundtrack, by Radiohead, is Talk Show Host - a b-side from The Bends (and an INCREDIBLE song). Thom didn’t go solo until mid-2000s. 👍
Can't wait for the next one. This band means so much to me, and it's a real joy to see you making your way through their discography. It really is a wild journey!
Yeah man, this is the one. It might not end up being your favorite as not to jump the gun on what is to come, especially when you complete the next 3 album stretch with "In Rainbows" another seemingly flawless record - but plenty to look forward to, I mean some absolutely amazing songs and advanced level experimentation on the next 2 to come full circle (then you can watch the From the Basement live concert and see how they pull all this off, just the 5 of them - live - sounding even better and with no help - than most studio recordings - and really get to know the band and have an elevated connection and appeciation - something t look forward to.) Having the 3 guitars allow them to focus on that sonic landscape whether one of them is off on synth or many other instruments, and it culminates in this album truly, as you now have the true appreciation for how massive he change up to Kid A was. It threw me off for like 6 years, I didn't listen to them, while OK Computer remained my favorite album - till I stumbled on earlier mentioned In Rainbows concert and it smacked me back into full Radiohead obsession for a long time - got me going back, finally getting the tracks that eluded me on older albums and the new couple I missed. still is - but this next series is going to be great man. I too thought the one song I could live without was "Electioneering" - it takes many listens but it broke though for me and the tune stuck. OK Computer is so special because of the musical moments - one after the other - but to display a real theme of isolation, anxiety, paranoia, fear of not being a success without entering the machine of society, distress at the speeding up of life - predicting how things are now in a really unbelievable manner - alien abduction, escape - but to where....it is really a historically significant piece of art. They made a sound that still sounds brand new and had never existed before or again - and then they went and did the same thing 3 years later with Kid A - that alone is so impressive. Then to still be at it to this day (Thom and Jonny the 2 masterminds just did a side project under the name "The Smile" that is really nice, great stuff, and are touring N.America and I'll see them here in D.C. in December - also, I feel pretty confident there is one more album left in them and if not they'd tour one more time regardless, so you will get your chance to get floor seats and get way up lose - so worth it - and check and see if "The Smile" is coming worldwide to do the same with the front half of the band out having fun rocking out. I love this album for so many reasons, it just hooked me like nothing else ever has or will - just having Paranoid Android, Exit Music, and No Surprises would make this a solid listen but there is no filler, as I said I didn't hit that vibe with Electioneering until much later on, but it still works in the meantime with the interlude to break the album up a bit as it is really sucking you in and it needs a wall in the middle of sorts - ingredients of a master work. This is the first time Nigel Godrich and the band produced (he engineered "The Bends") and he has done every album since - that's a huge element to this album's flawless sonic execution and their entire journey moving forward - he is one of the best out there. Some songs like "Lucky" - man they will hit you so powerfully on the 3rd or 4th time around, you may never recreate the first listen but it just gets even better and better once you know all the words and can pick out the sounds - sometimes it is Thom overdubs (clearly the high falsetto stuff) and often it is Guitar 3 - the soundscape effect pedal master - Ed O'Brien like on that beautiful harmonizing on the closing track. It is a delight to watch - most normal - good hearted people like to share the things they love and that move them - so thank you for sharing it, it probably feels weird to have other people get so much gratification from your experience, it is kind of weird from this end - but screw it, I love it, sincere thanks, that made my week man. And the next up - Amnesiac is awesome - it was done at the same time as Kid A sessions but has a different feel, similarities, a different experience to Kid A - but man most important man are there some epic songs on there and some unbelievable musical dream worlds - I look forward to it. Thanks again, super fun!
Drew you are a legend mate! Excellent write up on the intricacies this album dives into! Nigel sure helped elevate this band! Im really hoping they have another album lined up as it would be incredible to experience it in real time with you guys! And as far as a tour goes im crossing my fingers one day, but also they are a band worth travelling for so if one day the timing works out I would for sure travel to see this legendary band! Thank you again for all your support mate, the engagement from the viewers is such a vital part of this channel and is my favourite part!
This album is a masterpiece. It is tied with In Rainbows and Moon Shaped Pool as my favorite. Subterranean Homesick Aliens is probably my favorite RH song.
this is genuinely the best reaction i have ever seen. this is easily my favourite album of all time, and it's brilliant seeing you hear it for the first time! my favourite is either exit music or let down, the part in let down where it builds down and builds back up is just so heartbreaking
Nobody loves radiohead on the first (or second) listen, but when you get it, you get it, and then you cant get enough. What is missed by most is the story, its not that they just banged out amazing tunes, it was more a story of their first albums to their last. All of their Music is their story, not so easy to pickup on but once understood it adds the extra dimension to the journey. The live aspect is i think the first time i heard a band and liked it more than studio, glastonbury 2003 left a very deep scar. Love this band
Yesss Jack, been buzzing for this one glad you rated it so much 🤩 Let Down floors me every time. I’d defo give their Glastonbury 2003 set a watch, there’s the full video on UA-cam - that’s what really changed my opinion of the band massively it’s unbelievable, maybe not reaction-worthy though! Too long obviously. Amnesiac is nuts, some pure buggin tracks on there, like you’re butter melting on a crumpet at 4am 😂 enjoy
Thanks Charlie, had so much fun with the ride. Being at Glastonbury would have been incredible, super pumped to reach Amnesiac might just have to have a couple of crumpets while listening haha
@@cavemanjack it’s definitely the biggest grower of all the albums, took me the longest to finally get. I think this was meant to be a deluxe album combined with Kid A, but the band decided against it and released them separately, something along the lines of that 👍🏼
To use a pretty common analogue Paranoid Android is like Radioheads Stairway to Heaven. So yes it was a huge song at the time that showing the band's ability to blend styles and move away from their more classic alternative rock roots. Also one of their biggest hits. Great reaction to a GOAT album.
Their inspiration was “Happiness is a Warm Gun” from The Beatles (aka The White Album). Three parts, with a sum that is greater. It still sounds incredible today.
let down is a song that has gotten me through so much - 'one day, i am gonna grow wings. a chemical reaction. hysterical and useless. hysterical and let down." so! good!
Always cool to see you continue the Radiohead journey! Let Down is a masterpiece that still hits straight in the gut to this day... I'm still holding out for a future reaction to Blur's 13 album :) Also congrats on 1k subs!
I will get to blur, its on the list haha! this list continues to get longer which is great but its there!, Thank you for checking out the vid and for the continued support!
Hey Mr Caveman, I watched some of your videos and I LOVED your reaction to Radiohead's albums, which btw is my favourite band of all time, the guys are awesome! I want to recommend an album that is simply sensational. It's called "Blue Oyster Cult" which is self-titled from a metal band of the same name from the early 70s and this is simply one of my favourite albums of all albums (OK Computer comes first). They are extremely talented and underrated but they were very important to the world of music because they are considered pioneers of hard rock and they made many great bands emerge, Metallica for example has a cover of a song of theirs called "Astronomy" on the album Garage Inc. Anyway, these guys are amazing and this album is perfect, you might like it!!
I keep coming back to this reaction video I just love it.. It's like when you introduce your best friend to this music for the first time, and you're SO hoping that they'll "get" it, and then they do! And it creates this awesome feeling, a bond, a shared experience of something you both love and admire and immerse yourself in. Yeah I love this and I love Radiohead.
Excellent reaction! Truly an epic album. Please check out some RADIOHEAD “FROM THE BASEMENT” on UA-cam. Also, keep the journey going, their sound continues to progress and mature with each album. GOOD STUFF, thanks for taking the ride
I've only just discovered your channel, Jack, and I have dived straight into going through all your reactions. I dont know much about you, what your background is, but it's clear you have soul in your bones! They say you only ever get to listen to every song once for the first time, but watching your reactions is as close as I think i will ever get to the reliving the joy I experienced when I first heard RH's amazing stuff. Priceless!
Thanks Will, really appreciate it! Thank you for the kind feedback I love music and truly appreciate any opportunity I get to check out new stuff. Take care mate!
I'd recommend Paranoid Android (Live) from UK music show "Jools Holland" it's a blast. Also, the live version of How To Disappear Completely, from the Canal+ 2001 TV special is stunning. The "From The Basement" sessions are amazing (performing In Rainbows and King of Limbs as two separate sessions); and out of the many to choose from, a 'real big live gig' that was captured really well is the Lollapalooza Berlin show 2016. Enjoy ... looking forward to the remaining reactions. Moon Shaped Pool will be a fitting finale. Maybe give the debut album by The Smile a reaction (okay they're not Radiohead but still very good) Love & Light
This is definitely Radiohead's most impressive and innovative album. I agree with most that it's the best, and I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. My favourite is In Rainbows though, can't wait till you get to that one
I'm crying listening to this and seeing your reaction. Haven't got to your reaction to 'let down' yet but in my opinion this one is one of their best ever. Thank you for these reaction videos. Absolutely class.
I bought this album the week it came out, and it still overwhelms me to this day. Last year BBC radio did a 90 min documentary with Nigel Godrich about how it was created, I'll try and find a link to it, it's well worth your time
After the first song, I was so looking forward to seeing your reaction to Paranoid Android. I saw it live, in a small venue for them (Hammersmith Apollo in London). I've been to lots of gigs and that was singularly the best live song I've ever heard. It felt like the roof was about to lift off. Like the end of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skulls (or whatever that film's called) when it goes all alien. An unbelievable song. Truly.
It was a lovely watch, this. Found it really moving to see your reactions in places, especially as I knew what was coming. It felt authentic, but your video also made me remember/realise what a gem this album is. Dark, but there's some beautiful relief too. No Surprises, for instance. The subtle break and relief at around 2:55: it gets me every time.
You made me cry again with your reaction.... This is gone if they greatest album ever created. You hit it on the head... Thom was in a strange place when this one was done. Thank you for loving this. I agree about Electioneering felt out of place on this album.
I have to say dude. This reaction video is the best I've seen. I'd recommend this vid to anyone that's feeling blue and wans to see what the joy of music can. do. You can't stop smiling. It's awesome
Great reaction Caveman, as for Paranoid Android, yes it was and is one of their biggest hits and blew everyone away when this album was released but that's true of the entire album. This is always listed somewhere in the greatest 100 albums of the 20th century and usually somewhere in the top 10 or 20. Paranoid Android also has an award winning music video that I suggest taking the time to watch, along with No Surprises and Karma Police. At bit of context for Exit Music, it was created for the ending credits of Romeo and Juliet with Claire Danes and Leonardo Dicaprio, but wasn't included with films soundtrack, so Thom said screw you and added it to this album, lol. The other track that helps to know a key piece of information is, Lucky, and what you need to know is, it's about James Bond, 007 himself!!!
Thank you so much! I need to check out the music videos for sure! Feels like a perfect end credit song too haha, that's so cool to hear about lucky, I love that!
One of the best concept albums ever made and my favorite album of the 90's, hands-down. And that's listening to it sober; listen through a few times sober, then repeat on some weed= magical. I wish I could hear this album again for the first time.
Hahah this was a really great review/reaction! Worth the price of admission to watch you experience Paranoid Android and Exit Music.. I find it so easy to take this album for granted because it’s so obviously great and such a staple.. kinda like Pulp Fiction or something.. but watching you enjoying it for the first time is a really good reminder.. good stuff man!
You're right. You need to see this band live. I saw KID A at MSG when the album was released. it's cliche to say it changed my life - but I've never seen or felt anything like it. just a masterpiece. jaw on the floor. I want them to play the Sphere. PLEASE
exit music was used in an episode of black mirror called ‘shut up and dance’ and will continue to be one of the most impactful pieces of media for me of all time
Paranoid android … to me the best song I've ever heard in my life (I'm 44). Had a massive Radiohead phase when I was in my teens and haven't listen to them in such a long time. Just rediscovered this beautiful timeless music.
Loving your reactions - watching for second time - the key thing for me with Radiohead is they make me smile at their virtuosity in the middle of their songs. Not many artists do that to me 👍
I ❤️ Radiohead, and find this LP brilliant. Glad you now understand why people believe it one of their best. To appreciate the fantastic songwriting stands on its own, please check out EASY STAR ALL-STARS' RADIODREAD!!! Keep doing your thing.
Everybody’s gangsta until the drums come in to exit music
When those ride cymbal bell hits start in, all the hairs pre-stand-up on the back of my neck.
Such an underrated observation.
Must have listed to this album hundreds of times over the past 25 years, and I sob like a baby on this track every time.
Love to see someone give "Let Down" the attention it deserves.
The best Radiohead song IMO, close to Weird Fishes. There's something about Radiohead's 2 songs that include 3 arpeggiated guitars
As if it doesn't get enough attention...
[Overrated Track]
That song gives me strength when i am weak
That song just gives me the feeling of depression and nihilism that nothing else in this world can
It used to be one of my fav track off the album. U can immediately hear how it influenced big bands later on such as Coldplay
That silence after Paranoid Android really says it all 😂 whole album gives me absolute chills every single time no matter what
Will never forget that moment haha
I don’t care what anyone says this is the greatest album of all time!!!!!
gradually is the best and most important album of all time
Continues to be relevant now and will likely forever

I've always marvelled at people who "didn't" cry hearing Exit Music for the first time. Such a beautiful reaction.
Thanks you so much, that song was so moving
OKC is so richly textured. 24 years later I still hear new things on almost every listen. It still sounds like it's from the future.

Such a haunting song I agree, such an trippy song
The music video brings out even more of the underlying anxiety in the song.
Subterranean Homesick Alien changed my whole world when I first heard it….still does. The 1-2 punch of that and Exit Music is just almost too much to bear. Pure genius.
such a great run of songs!

OK Computer has been the all time most selling album
OK Computer pros: Every second of the album.
OK Computer cons: Every other album you will ever hear will feel second tier...
Exactly
hahaha that's gold!

But to see your reactions really reminded me of why I consider this band the greatest of the modern era. Absolutely fantastic 👏 keep up the great work.
For me the 'In Rainbows' LP from 2007 is their best, please give it a listen. 👌
UP
Thank you so much Matt, it has been such an incredible journey I have been so lucky to check them out at this point in my life, it just feels like the right time! keen to see what they have to offer next!
I'm not jealous, I'm happy that I discovered them 25 years ago :).
@@daan5361 haha good point.
MIND BLOWN...
man gave a grade 9 gcse eng lit response
I always thought that this was the technologically advanced version of Dark Side of the Moon and when I heard that high pitched glockenspiel bell I thought, "Money! the fucking till chime on Money!!!" I think it was their nod to Floyd tbh. Oh and the title is from an Astro Boy comic.
The title is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. There's no chance Thom Yorke was reading Astro Boy in 1997.
The last sound is a microwave. Like: "here is your cheap burrito, loser."
When I discovered this album, I listened nothing but it for a year.
Haha this type of album could easily do that for someone!
i have the cd in my car since last year xD
Paranoid Android will always be my most favoritest Radiohead track. No matter how many more albums they're going to release (not holding my breath here), nothing will ever compare
Fingers crossed they got some more music in them Diana, would love to listen to one in real time with all of the other Radiohead fans
Yeah something so special about that song...specifically that song...
I'm sure you have done it already. Listen to the album with no stop the songs flow into each other like a flows of a river. The transition from Exit music into Let down is just perfect .
that transition is unreal !!!
Welcome to the Journey. Some of us loved Radiohead from the beginning, but THEY made us love the WHOLE of music more when they made this album.
I remember I was 18 when this album came out and everybody at school was like:”have you listened to the last Radiohead album??? It’s amazing mate!!! Go and buy it!!!” 😂 glad you are discovering their music. Enjoy! Ciao from Italy
Thank you so much! I had so much fun with it
That scream at the end of Climbing The Walls isn't into the mic, incidentally, Thom screams into the pickups of his guitar. That's how it sounds how it does.
That is genius!
The entire album is an absolute masterclass in production! Not to mention the timeless writing and performance. Top notch album start to finish, one of the best of all time!
I believe there was a fifth person involved in the production on a lot of Radiohead songs, he is like unsung fifth member of the band.
@@holliswilliams8426 Yep, you're right! That's Nigel Godrich, who's been producing all their albums from OK Computer onward. He's also in another band with Thom Yorke, called Atoms for Peace. 😀
Such a legendary project
I ALWAYS cite the break in Paranoid Android as the most beautiful composition ever!
So lovely
I remember hearing Paranoid Android in High School... my reaction (every single time the video came on MTV).... was exactly yours. I still can't get over it.
Such a fantastic song
Brilliant mate. Glad you enjoyed it but it actually gets better with every spin, Radiohead is like planting a seed, with every listen to their projects the connection grows. It's quite hard to listen to anything else once it takes hold of you.
I didn't fully get most of my favorite albums of all time the first time I listened to them. Especially The Downward Spiral, Blonde and this album.
The Downward Spiral 👏👏👏
@@austinh953 man when tf is frank ocean dropping a new album...
Thanks Steve, I had a lot of fun with it! The depths it goes to are incredible!
Loved it.
Wow, thank you for sharing this story Alex, music hits us in ways we can never describe and is there for us in times of both happiness and sadness
The magic of Radiohead. Love to see someone enjoing it as much as we have
Thank you Angelica, hoping one day I can see them live myself!
I’ve sat and watched your reaction to ‘In Rainbows’, ‘Hail To The Thief’, ‘The Bends’ and now ‘O.K Computer’ all this Morning…
So, so enjoyable!
Hell yeah, glad you enjoyed them
Iconic album. Brings back memories from my teenage years, the music certainly suited my mood.
Would be perfect for going through the teenage years!
Man thanks for the reaction.
Ok computer is easily one of the best albums to ever exist.
Paranoid Android blew me away when I first heard it as a kid, but when I finally listened to the rest of the album...I had the exact same reaction to the start of Subterranean Homesick Alien
Such a incredible journey
Im very keen to head back to nirvana at some point on the channel! thank you for checking out the videos :))
Love the foos's
Most enjoyable reaction to an album I've seen yet. So genuine. Instant sub
Legend! Thank you
I can’t tell you how much joy this brought!
This album is fulled with eargasms. Hugs from Brazil

Gotta agree with you there!
One of the reasons I love reactions is to see people experience what I experienced when I first listened to this music. How I wish I could listen to Radiohead for the first time time again. Good job brother
Thank you so much brother
Today is my mom's 7th anniversary since she passed. Your reaction gives me joy dude. Thank you!
I'm sorry for your loss 🕊️🕊️
Sending lots of good thoughts mate! Thank you for checking out the Video Dan, this comment means a lot to me! im really glad you enjoyed the reaction man, music is such a powerful tool
I got to see these guys live back when In Rainbows came out. It was a particularly special show because this was the first tour in a while where they were doing material from OK Computer. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best show I've ever been to.
Oh man that sounds so good! im crossing my fingers for them to tour again one day
I saw them on that tour as well. Still one of the top 3 most memorable shows I’ve ever been to.
This album is 4th best for me, behind Kid A, A Moon-Shaped Pool, and In Rainbows. Can't wait until you react to those two, those are just golden for me
Super pumped to check them out Carter!
Thank you so much Jules! Was an unreal ride, im so exited in ten years time to be able to look back on these reactions!
@@cavemanjack You're so welcome! Yeah, I'm very jealous you have it recorded haha, and I'm looking forward to your next reaction!!
The best album during my 50 yrs listening to music
@@StonefolkNetwork Talk Show Host is literally the song that got me into RH. Friend had a burned CD stuck in his jeep and it was all RH haha.
And sounds like Exit Music just didn't make the soundtrack. Which is real weird of them haha
@@colemandias3212 They withheld it because they wanted it for OK Computer. Thank god they did!
I love that! Im so keen to check out more of their work, the journey continues !
Airbag is their most underrated song. Mainly because everyone's anticipating what is coming next, but it is a fucking banger
I f'ing love Airbag. The bass is so unexpected on that track, it makes the whole thing for me. Elite work.
@@99Stutzand the drums is just something other
Can't wait for the next one. This band means so much to me, and it's a real joy to see you making your way through their discography. It really is a wild journey!
Such a wild journey! having a lot of fun, amnesiac video coming out this week
Never gets old seeing someones first reaction to my favorite band of all time.
It was beautiful to see you falling in love at first sight forever with these songs. Beautiful. Mesmerizing.
Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Your a legend!! Thanks again for the nice comment !
Absolutely loved your reaction to this album. Truly a masterpiece. Welcome to Radiohead 💚
Thank you so much!
Great reaction! Keep it a lot more Radiohead to listen to.
I think this was meant to be a deluxe album combined with Kid A, but the band decided against it and released them separately, something along the lines of that 👍🏼
Yessss! Can’t wait for In Rainbows
Same here!
You’re instantly my new favorite music react channel! So much joy and honest enthusiasm ❤️🙏🏻
Heyyyyy thank you so much, means a lot!
Thank you! Such a good way to put it !
Their inspiration was “Happiness is a Warm Gun” from The Beatles (aka The White Album). Three parts, with a sum that is greater. It still sounds incredible today.
let down is a song that has gotten me through so much - 'one day, i am gonna grow wings. a chemical reaction. hysterical and useless. hysterical and let down." so! good!
Such a beautiful song !
“0h guys, I’m so sorry” I’m sure they love you anyway and I do ❤️
Always cool to see you continue the Radiohead journey! Let Down is a masterpiece that still hits straight in the gut to this day... I'm still holding out for a future reaction to Blur's 13 album :)
Also congrats on 1k subs!
Thank you legend!
Appreciate the recommendation
I keep coming back to this reaction video I just love it..
It's like when you introduce your best friend to this music for the first time, and you're SO hoping that they'll "get" it, and then they do! And it creates this awesome feeling, a bond, a shared experience of something you both love and admire and immerse yourself in.
Yeah I love this and I love Radiohead.
Love that! will always be a really special video for me!
God, this album just makes me cry but it hasn’t left its place as my favourite. It’s nice to see people still recognize it as the masterpiece it is.
Such an amazing record
can't wait for your reaction to in rainbows, it's gonna be out of this world
This is the only decent reaction I've seen to this album on UA-cam. You get it.
Check out vinyl junkies reaction.
I love your reactions! Especially Radiohead ones. I can't wait until you do A Moon Shaped Pool.
Coming soon!
Excellent reaction! Truly an epic album. Please check out some RADIOHEAD “FROM THE BASEMENT” on UA-cam.
Also, keep the journey going, their sound continues to progress and mature with each album. GOOD STUFF, thanks for taking the ride
Thank you Christof has been such a fun ride so far, im very keen to check out from the basement soon, and continue with the later albums!
Omg experiencing this again through you is a great journey. Your excitement is contagious
Thank you so much Rick!
Just delicious to see reactions of this masterpice, every song have a soul, a feeling, definitely one of the bests of all time
Every song on this album has been my favorite song on the album at some point over the last 25 years. It’s perfect!
Love that!
Maybe give the debut album by The Smile a reaction (okay they're not Radiohead but still very good)
Love & Light
You are a lucky person just for listen this for the first time, just an absolute experience♡
Please do A Moon Shaped Pool and In Rainbows!!!
Have been very lucky, super pumped to continue the journey
This is definitely Radiohead's most impressive and innovative album. I agree with most that it's the best, and I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. My favourite is In Rainbows though, can't wait till you get to that one
So pumped to get to in rainbows one day!
I was right there with you in the intro to no surprises haha. What a treat.
Such a fun ride man!

I'm crying listening to this and seeing your reaction. Haven't got to your reaction to 'let down' yet but in my opinion this one is one of their best ever. Thank you for these reaction videos. Absolutely class.
thank you legend !
Increible more of Radiohead please!! greetings from Mexico, new subscriber👌✨️
Coming soon Fernando! Thank you
I bought this album the week it came out, and it still overwhelms me to this day.
That was brilliant thank you so much for feeling it
Thanks lain
This album represents my school days . Now I have my tattoo of OK computer , to remember it forever😍🤩 Thank you for this video!
thank you for checking out the vid!
It's awesome
thank you so much, that such a nice thing to say, have a great week!
Such an incredible journey !
*LET DOWN!!!!!!!!* 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Yeah, but this whole album is insanely brilliant.
PLEASE
exit music was used in an episode of black mirror called ‘shut up and dance’ and will continue to be one of the most impactful pieces of media for me of all time
Just a beautiful video! Wish I could hear it for the first time again :/ all love tho
Such an amazing journey
Paranoid android … to me the best song I've ever heard in my life (I'm 44). Had a massive Radiohead phase when I was in my teens and haven't listen to them in such a long time. Just rediscovered this beautiful timeless music.
Loving your reactions - watching for second time - the key thing for me with Radiohead is they make me smile at their virtuosity in the middle of their songs. Not many artists do that to me 👍
Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun with this album and it hit me at so many points throughout
I ❤️ Radiohead, and find this LP brilliant. Glad you now understand why people believe it one of their best. To appreciate the fantastic songwriting stands on its own, please check out EASY STAR ALL-STARS' RADIODREAD!!! Keep doing your thing.
Thanks Mary for the recommendation, Such an amazing album
dude watching you listen to exit music for a film for the first time. amazing. trying to live vicariously through you lol
Thank you! was such a fun journey through this project
Great reaction mate , wish I could go back and watch myself listen to this for the first time .
