I was in Los Angeles in 2019 when the earth quake hit it was a 7.1 and we were inside the Convention Center for the first hit and the next day another hit when we were outside and it was pretty fun tbh I would rather earth quakes then Tornados and Huricanes lol
@@dedifiedjelly Always better to play it safe during an earthquake. Moving to a location where stuff won't fall on you is fine, if you're already outdoors. However, if you're indoors, it's better to try to quickly find a decent structure to hide under, to protect against falling debris. Something like a sturdy table or a strong bed. That way, it's less likely that debris will fall on you and injure you mid-exit. Don't get me wrong. You can enjoy the ground dancing all you want, so long as you're not trying to "dance" your way outdoors during it. Plenty of people have cracked their skulls trying to rush outside, whether due to falling debris, or simply because the ground lurched in the wrong way at the wrong time, and the person's fancy footwork went skyward. Oh, and before I forget, beware the aftershocks. Not all earthquakes end their little dance after the first few shakes.

Lol the natural disaster bit just reminded me of what my parents did during the SF earthquake; they went outside because it’s not safe inside, and they watched the earth just quake for a whole ass minute. One of my mom’s neighbors who was an immigrant and didn’t really know what to do during an earthquake was running around in her nightgown screaming about the end of days. Quake stories are some of my favorite to listen to tbh cause they’re either “I slept through it” or “everything was ruined except one shelf which just so happened to have all the contents move to the shelf below it.”
I think i'll have to hire Florida and make it my lifelong obsession to break that Hawaiian Law about not sinking islands... Just to mess back with her.
Pssh. I'm a Nebraskan, it's literally our state pasttime. Like, some of my favorite memories growing up are when we would just bring dinner out on the porch with horizontal rain and hail and watch the green sky churning as a family.
I don't think Hawaii would have as much of a problem if visitors would respect her islands, her beaches, her indigenous peoples, her volcanos, and her guardian deities.

Second time, it felt like something happened at the intersection near us again and the house got hit that time!
