My favorite part of the zebra story is that some ecologists have predicted that zebras could peacefully integrate into the Maryland ecology. They wouldn't be invasive species. If the local fish and wildlife service let's the zebras run free and then periodically purchases and releases zebras from the guy who originally had the few that escaped- we could end up with zebras being endemic to Maryland and the surrounding area very soon.
