Hi 👋 #NewFan ! I’ve been searching high and low for instructions on how to replace the lightbulb in my GE 700 W microwave …even though you instructions are for a completely different model, I imagine that the instructions for mine will be pretty much the same as there is no access panel to the lightbulb from within the microwave itself.
As a result, most all the resources I was coming across stated that if there was no access panel on the the inside of the microwave that my only option is to have a service technician come out 🙄 which honestly just wouldn’t be worth the investment since it’s just a small 700 W microwave from 2015 . Plus being Filipino American, I also can’t bring myself to throw away or replace something that isn’t broken… and even when it is broken, I will find a way to repurpose the parts .. lol #ItsAnAsianThing 😂

Thank you for showing how to do! I changed out my 40 watt fixed (unscrewable bulb socket) with LED 5w dimmable E17 screw in new socket. Had to file down brass and chrome connectors on new socket , so it would fit the smaller hook ups. Red n blue wire to brass and wht to chrome. Works so great and little less power consumption.. Used on my Inverter Panasonic NN SD681s. 1,200 watt solid microwave!

Thanks very much, I changed the bulb for this exact same Panasonic Inverter Microwave, guys be aware not to touch the high voltage area (shown in this video) as the capacitor still holds charge even after disconnecting from power plug.....I chose carpet to refix the cover as it was very hard to put it back on hard wood floor as the microwave kept slipping when I tried to push the cover...I used the original Panasonic bulb to make sure it doesnt blow out too soon again...also I cleaned some cock roach crap as well with Isopropyl alcohol and put bit of neem oil on cotton buds to repel german cockroaches

Can that bulb be unscrewed from the black base? Is that a T7 base screwed onto a plastic base? Or does the bulb have to be replaced with the plastic part as one piece?

Does changing the bulb make the screen display brighter
I used these instructions for Sharp Carousel built-in microwave. TORX T20 screws created some trouble but bought a bit for it. Anyway the bulb was not coming out so easily. Poked the bulb terminal hole with a small screwdriver (tooth prick wud work) then it just popped out. Did not use pliers. If only we hd screwable bulbs life wud hv been simple.

Can you replace it with an LED or will the microwaves mess with the driver? Aka cause flickering?

250 volt 2A 20 watt bulb? Or is it just marked 125 v 20 watt on the black base?

Seriously why would they not design it that you don’t have to dismantle the whole appliance. Think my dead light bulb is staying where it is.

From my understanding it’s really risky working near the large capacitor because you could easily touch it

I have a NNSN733B Panasonic microwave.
The light bulb installed is soft white light.
Is there a daylight or cool white replacement?
F612E5Y30AP and F612EBK00AP are the possible lamps. I don't know if any of them are daylight or cool white.
