That's so awesome to hear. These videos, simple as they may seem, take a lot of time to produce and make projects tske 5x longer, but it is my hope people find them useful and enjoy them. So, it means a lot to get that feedback. It really is nice to have the under kitchen cabinet light though, you almost forget how nice it is to have that little extra, or even use it as a night light. I had the same issue.
    What a horrible design!
Bulb blew and manual doesn't tell you if it's a screw in or pop in bulb.
    Tried pulling... nothing happened.
Started unscrewing and ended up with the darn bulb in my hand. I needed to use a tweezer, needle nose plier, mirror, and flashlight to change a darn bulb.
    Now I need a coffee!

Very helpful video. I have a problem you didn't mention: The screw was put in so tightly that I can't turn it. I have changed bulbs in microwaves before. It's not rocket science, but whirlpool put the light is in a very awkward position (much too far back) and makes a simple chore a real pain.

I used a thin rubber glove or at least wrap your finger in like masking tape (Make sure to unplug the microwave first) and stick your finger in and turn. Fyi - You may actually turn clockwise since you could be facing the opposite direction the bulb is facing. You can do it bare handed but its thin metal, may not be cleanly rounded, the cap or the socket, so it could slice you if you aren't protected. Happy Friday! You can use some wd40 if needed, very small amount, couple drops on two sides. Be sure the unit is unplugged! Use a rubber glover if you can or thin towl for grip and protection and after letting the drops sit for 5 min try twisting it out. After that I would try some needle one pliers perhaps, grip one side and try to twist it out.

    • @SKLIFEstyle
