Matt has been a big fan of your channel for a while but I’ve have have an issue I have to be honest with you about. Not sure if others have had the same problem but often times when I’m trying to absorb the way of the playa, I’m constantly finding myself distracted by your good looks and smooth accent. I know it may not be intentional, but it is very distracting, and takes away from the content. I know you wear the bucket hat to try to offset this effect but it is still a distraction. appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos I just wish I could get more out of them. Another great video. To all the people that say hit driver every time I think this is a great video. With the wing you missed a lot of fairways. With a driver you would probably been OB or have a lost ball at least 3 times. One thing I’ve found is that when I tell myself I’m due to make a putt it never goes in. I’m a believer in getting the ball on the green ASAP, but I was a little surprised you took it that low on 18 over the water. Your putting speed from wsy off the green is unbelievable!

Just do what I did. Watch breaking 90 like 30 times. Listen to breaking 80 while sleeping.. I still have not broken 80.. 82 this past summer was my best.. best of luck.. Oh, 7 wood helped a ton.
I had a horrible 18 after playing the best back to back games of my golfing life. Trying to apply some of these philosophies to my game as I gear back up to another round.
Mattie, I'm sorry for your struggles here, but it's great to see that you're human. This round reminds me of some of my recent rounds, and your advice about lies is just spot on. I took a double on 18 in my last tournament because I failed to properly adjust for a poor lie off the tee ... and it's probably going to cost me some bucks as a result. After 5 years of looking at YT vids to work out what I was doing wrong I finally got a lesson. Within ten seconds the pro told me what my problem was. Now playing as well as I used to.
Found this channel recently, just played my first round following the way of the playa. I put the driver away after two bad shots and took 4i off the rest of the tees. I hit almost every fairway and shot 5 strokes lower than my best round this season.

I played great today using your tips, then I took out my driver & lost a ball. Kept driver to work through it, dropped 4 shots over 3 holes. Put driver away & back to playing well again. Driverless golf is a thing, next round I might try not using it at all - maybe 2 holes max.

The guys from 311 were having fun when they went on stage and told the crowd “Well since yall liked Incubus so much, we’ll play another Incubus song!!” And proceeded to try and play The Warmth lol
just to add to point 2 about no youtube swing fixes: I saw a pro for a lesson and told him i wanted to fix my slice because i always smash the ball, particularly driver, way out to the right; after hitting 5 balls he told me that i don't slice the ball because of my swing type but i was convinced i sliced the ball due to the result of the ball going right. The result of the ball blocking right was happening because i leave the club face open on impact not because i come across the ball in the downswing but i would never have known that through youtube diagnosis which i watched for the longest time trying different things that never worked because I didn't know what the actual problem was that a pro could see after 5 balls hit.
slicing is primarily a problem of having the club face open to the swing path(if the face and path are in alignment the ball goes straight, but it could be straight right or left!). fix the face and you pretty much fix the slice. then you work on the next issue.
Baus on the Beach - maybe the better shot out of that bunker was not the Hero Shot but safer to go left or right instead. Playa here demonstrates to us well what can happen. 👏👏👏👍🏼

Did that. Very easy. Biggest difference is distance control and Low iron’s and wedges going too far with much less spin
There's a lot of Stigma around these clubs but they can help many golfers

Adjustment of Hole Scores
Q. What is my maximum hole score for handicap posting purposes?
A. If you have an established Handicap Index, the maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey, equal to double bogey plus any handicap strokes you are entitled to receive based on your Course Handicap.
For example: A player with a Course Handicap of 15 receives one handicap stroke on holes with a stroke index of 1 through 15 on the scorecard.
On a par 4 hole with a stroke index of 10, the player’s maximum hole score is 7. Double bogey (6) + 1 handicap stroke = 7.

New rules to me! I usually just card the 7+ if it happens i deserve the punishment, that shit is inexcusable for a single digit... Unless you find yourself in the tallest pot bunker in Scotland 💀we can all understand that
