It's really amazing how you manage your bag, clubs, cleaning, divots and top of everything the camera and still play as well as you do. That's the real achievement honestly.
Broke 100 for the first time this weekend after starting to golf 5 months ago. Been watching your videos the whole time can’t thank you enough for what you do playa
I broke a 100 twice this season, and I owe to the way of the Playa concept. I'm a believer! I can't wait until the 2024 season. I'm confident I can break 95 using the system.
Every time the birdie music comes on I get pumped! You’re cracking the links code so I’m sticking with my prediction of a 0.3 handicap by the end of it.
Played one of my greatest games today and used some of the tips you’ve suggested. No hero shots, aim at the center of the green for approach shots, stay away from bunkers and other hazards. I also got a birdie on the first hole. That felt good.
Spectacular content! No messing about, amazing how you actually think your way to sub-par scores, it's great hearing your thought process. You saved a lot of strokes with putting here, not just the birdies but always getting the first putt close for an easy 2 putt - It would be good to see a video on how you do putting, the stroke, setup, reading the green, etc.
Hole 15, your 3rd shot (little lob over bunker). Didn't even need to see result to know it was pure. That confident motion through the ball is so pleasing.
Got my first swingtweak today, honest review the response was quick, concise and to the point. Not overly complex and gave me clear direction on how to improve. Thanks for the recommendation @GolfSidekick
Just got my first 68….using all the lessons you taught…….my swing tweaked a bit but it’s only little…..it was windy and a bit of rain…so conditions weren’t the best for this course next to the sea at Liverpool…….luckily the putt putt course is sheltered from the road side…..next week …blackpool
I played tennis in grade school and tennis related swing thoughts have really helped me. I’m right handed so if I think as if I’m playing tennis left-handed it all makes perfect sense.
That little pitch on 16...man those moments are make-or-break for my memory of a round. "Stay in it" is what you said. Gonna remember that line next time when there's a tough situash late.
Those two birdies from driving the greens were awesome to watch! Finally, you got to profit from the wind, in the last videos, it always seemed to die when it was supposed to help you. 3.6
No idea if this will help but the first minute of your video resonated with me. Here it is playa. The ONLY reasons I use a shorter club off the tee is for the following reasons: Avoiding anything which could keep me from having a clear shot at the green on my second. That's priority number one. Will an offline driver put a tree in the way? Will it land me in a water hazard? Will it put me in a bunker that is too deep to hit out of onto the green? The only other reason I may pull a shorter club is because getting too close to a green may make accessing a pin too difficult. What I mean by that is if it is a front flag and I am sixty out, it's going to be more difficult to accessing the flag from there than if I have a full sand wedge to 8 iron away. Those shots land and stop. Sixty yarders role out unless you hit a ridiculous flop. Sooooo if there is no danger in using driver then you have to use it. Especially in links golf. Get that ball down the fairway son! You see the result of this yielded here.
Excellent round. Love the Matty explanation while Matty Boom Boom is chipping onto the green in the distance. Stylish. You did have me worried on hole 13 when your par putt was giving a Birdie on the scorecard graphic. The score came through correct on the following tee shot though.
your putting is fantastic. seeing how many you sink makes me wonder if my putting is holding me back from breaking 80. I'm hitting fairways and greens but always 2 put, sometimes 3.
Jolly good round with splendid music! A mix of new jams, the usual metal riffs and Austin Powers-like classic pop. Not a tuba to be heard. Cheers, mate!
Have you ever looked at the Ping Crossover clubs? I HATE hybrids and fairway metals, but had far too much gap from driver to 4i. I picked this thing up in a 2i flavor and it is pure butter. Easy to hit, gets me out of trouble under trees, and is a joy to hit. I have the old G410 with my normal iron shaft installed and it is great off the deck and off the tee.
Matt! You hitting this 1i better than 75-85% of people will ever hit their driver! You need to hit this off the tee on any hole under 400 yds. The bogey on 4 was because you know you should be hitting the 1i! Love the content though, been following for the last 6 years
I love watching your videos Matty. We have a very similar game from tee to green but you are probably 10 to 12 shots better than me basically due to your short game. Mine is not nearly as good. So watching you I feel like I am seeing what my game could look like with a better short game and that gives me a lot of encouragement to practice that part of my game.
Nice work man! I agree with you on links about the driver. I grew up playing links and if you hit it right down the middle it can still roll out to the rough. If you had confidence in your drives you would be easy scratch everywhere. You’re approach play and short game is top notch.
Dinner for two is always a good score. I can't lie, it's been fun watching you turn into a human whilst on the Emerald Aisle. Let me know if you end up in the UK over summer and I'll get the brai out. It's very different golf when you don't have to wear a scarf!
I've been working on breaking 90 for the first time in over a decade. I had been a mid-high 80s player. I dont know what changed. But im moving in the right direction
Of course I could appreciate the little bit more bote in the music on hole 12. But aside of that what a start of the round. Waddabaus. Well played sir. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Great videos! I continue to come back to this channel for the positive vibes and great golf. The music is too loud however on our side. It overpowers your voice and I have to adjust the volume every time music comes on. I had to turn the volume way down and put on subtitles on. Wanted to give some positive feedback. Keep of the great work!
So Matt, on hole 8 when you squatted down to line up your putt, was that a fart I heard or a 3 club wind? 😂😂😂😂❤ But best round I have ever seen you play….congrats!😊
Waddaround Matty boom boom. Live in Scotland and this course is my #1 target next year, looks like a nice wee test and you sucked it up like a politician at a table of Class As. Some boy.
It's really amazing how you manage your bag, clubs, cleaning, divots and top of everything the camera and still play as well as you do. That's the real achievement honestly.

hell yeah keep it going!
Yessir shot 97 my first round out! Was breaking 100 at the end of last season finally ! Alll these videos are incredible
Broke 80 today for first time in my life. +4 through 18 found a swing trigger

Lightbulb moment, then it goes after a week 😭
Every time the birdie music comes on I get pumped! You’re cracking the links code so I’m sticking with my prediction of a 0.3 handicap by the end of it.
I love the birdie music as well!
Played one of my greatest games today and used some of the tips you’ve suggested. No hero shots, aim at the center of the green for approach shots, stay away from bunkers and other hazards. I also got a birdie on the first hole. That felt good.
Great round Matty Boom Boom, love your content and wish you all the luck in your quest. Keep planting those feathers
Lag putting was phenomenal in this video Matt.

Felt it in my loins
Hole 15 was a par instead of a birdie..
@@CrudeTones You're quite correct, check it out here: rb.gy/8jgoaq
Good to see you get a score you deserve after all the hard work sticking to your plan
Yep 100% agree...
Where has this freaking guy been? The first three holes were incredible!! Well done Matt!
1.5 predicted handicap
adapting to new place playa
That's more like it Matt 👍
You're learning all the shots, nothing like links golf to improve that area.
Got my first swingtweak today, honest review the response was quick, concise and to the point. Not overly complex and gave me clear direction on how to improve. Thanks for the recommendation @GolfSidekick
Your channel has helped me so much, you’re basically a more fashionable Bob Rotella
I feel happy seeing you play so well and enjoying it - wadda round !
Nice playing in that wind, Matty. Terrific looking layout.
Great content 🫡 Loving this series playa 😝

Brilliant round. Was beginning to think you didn't have one of those in you but all your hard work and planning paid off. Even the sun shone.
Beautiful course, beautifyl weather even with the wind, and a great video. Thanks.
That little pitch on 16...man those moments are make-or-break for my memory of a round. "Stay in it" is what you said. Gonna remember that line next time when there's a tough situash late.
Really enjoying this series Matty, great content 👌
I played one of my best rounds in life at Durnbarnie Links. Made me fell in love with the course. Cheers from SA
Those two birdies from driving the greens were awesome to watch! Finally, you got to profit from the wind, in the last videos, it always seemed to die when it was supposed to help you. 3.6
I truly enjoy these videos. Great tips, strategy and comedy.
The abrupt stop of the birdie music upon a poor tee shot is one of my favorite edits! Waddaround!
great editing. love this series!
I knew it was Dumbarnie from the first tee box. What a track. Imagine how good it will be in a few more years once it's matured.
Loving the scottish series. Hope you managed to get to Crail very nice east coast links

I love to hear your thinking process during the shots. Great video, very helpful
that's an awesome round...Congratulations!
Brilliant stuff Matt. Love your talk through on this- this way of playing is how it should be for all of us handicap playas.
Timing was so much better today. I like it. Play it smooth Playa, takes the spin off into the wind. Great round.
THE most sensual round of golf on UA-cam. Caressing the links like the playa’s playa. Old Tom Jones would be proud.
Your approach play was on point Matt!
Loving the Scotland series Matty boy, much more relatable seeing you here in Scotland.
your putting is fantastic. seeing how many you sink makes me wonder if my putting is holding me back from breaking 80. I'm hitting fairways and greens but always 2 put, sometimes 3.
Shaved the hole like a proctologist’s assistant is an instant classic, made me spit out my drink.
me too ! I'm using that this weekend! :)
That drive on 12 was nuts. Great round!
Love this playa! Great content as usual. Love the new back-to-back birdie music!
Great job Matt! That wind would drive me nuts!
Eventually it does. Constant noise in your ears too
Incredible score Matty Boom Boom!
Jolly good round with splendid music! A mix of new jams, the usual metal riffs and Austin Powers-like classic pop. Not a tuba to be heard. Cheers, mate!
Bet that felt sooo good Matty. Great ball striking and short game in the wind, classy stuff
Hell of a round baus happy for you.

You just make me wanna play more golf when looking and listening to you 🤩
Matty Playa is draining those 10-12 footers like they are tap-ins. Great putting and course management on display!
Matt! You hitting this 1i better than 75-85% of people will ever hit their driver! You need to hit this off the tee on any hole under 400 yds. The bogey on 4 was because you know you should be hitting the 1i! Love the content though, been following for the last 6 years
Awesome golf, well played, loving this series 🫶🏻

Great round Matty Boom Boom. Looking forward to more of the same.
Congrats on a great round Matty! We'll done!!
love the birdie music - you know it's coming..☺
Matty boom boom, the wind whisperer. Great stuff. Keep um coming

That 8 iron baby drawl second shot was a thing of beauty sir!!!!

Music makes a lot of difference in this video, the energy at hole 12 ! :O
Amazing round
This content is absolutely top tier!
Congrats on a fantastic round. Glad to see you changed up your tactics. Using the 1 iron and the odd driver off the tee is a better play.
What a beautiful course 👌
Dinner for two is always a good score.
I can't lie, it's been fun watching you turn into a human whilst on the Emerald Aisle.
Let me know if you end up in the UK over summer and I'll get the brai out. It's very different golf when you don't have to wear a scarf!
Calculated the wind on that approach like rain man what a savant
Fair play Matty boom boom. That is an awesome score anywhere but Scotland in the autumn winds!?V impressive👍
"Shaved the hole like a Proctologist's Assistant."😂. Love it. Great round!
I've been working on breaking 90 for the first time in over a decade. I had been a mid-high 80s player. I dont know what changed. But im moving in the right direction
What a round! Well done Matt, great to see 👍
What a gorgeous looking course! Great score 👏🏻
Great round Matt!
Glad to see you working out the game playa
Proud of ya playa, great round!
Of course I could appreciate the little bit more bote in the music on hole 12. But aside of that what a start of the round. Waddabaus. Well played sir. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Knew you would like it
What a beautiful course!

On fire Matt. Congrats
Great round Matt. Short game was tight. Not too many poofies.
brilliant!
Love the “puns”. Matty boom boom, you’re pretty damn awesome 🤘🏼🔥
Playa In Chief - how do you calculate your handicap when you decide to mix tees during a round? Some black some blue, for example.
You took picking up that goose shite like a real champ. Oh, and good round, too!
So Matt, on hole 8 when you squatted down to line up your putt, was that a fart I heard or a 3 club wind? 😂😂😂😂❤ But best round I have ever seen you play….congrats!😊
LOVE the data analysis approach. Also noticed the plastic still on your pushcart. Gonna return it when you’re done with it? 😆😆
Lord you can putt Matty. Fantastic content.
Way to go broski!👊🏻
Nice! reeling in that scratch cap. 1.1
you played so good please keep playing here xxx
Nice job Matty!
Nice round, Matty Boom Boom.
Wadda course! One of your best rounds
Yeah very solid. Just a couple silly errors but i agree. One of the best
cheeky fart at 9:35 nice 👍
Waddaround Matty boom boom. Live in Scotland and this course is my #1 target next year, looks like a nice wee test and you sucked it up like a politician at a table of Class As. Some boy.
Nice in the wind. Be interesting to see in the opposite wind
Finally the Matt, we know 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
9:37 is the best part of the video 😅😂😂 💨
Well Done. Great score. What is your 1 iron?
