Mash Fifty head gasket failure - Check the quality before you install!

Quick update on the engine overhaul I did recently: the engine failed after only 400 kilometers. The cause? A poor quality head gasket. This is how you can prevent it from happening to you!

Safe to assume you're going to use a different brand of head gasket after that? 🤯

In theory: yes. In reality: I haven't been able to find another supplier. Back in my Honda-days I always used Honda gaskets, they were affordable and of a superb quality. But with those Chinese clone-engines, you're bound to used the gaskets that they supply. Unfortunately.

could it be that the 70cc piston and bore are a bigger diameter

If the 70cc piston is bigger do you need a head gasket with centre hole to fit 70cc piston.

I know, the 70 cc kit comes with it's own head gasket. If you use the 41 mm head gasket with the large bore, the engine won't even turn over.
