Vlad is such a great drummer. It's amazing to me that he is a classically trained pianist that only learned drums to play in Jinjer. He is spectacular, especially in a genre that is overflowing with complex time signatures. His drum kits speaks volumes. So simple. A snare, 2 floor toms, and a bunch of symbols. He also is right handed and plays open...so he's probably damned close to being ambidextrous. He's the only one in the band with formal music training.

Nice reaction Tank, welcome to the world of Jinjer. Don't feel bad, I've only discovered them 6 months ago and I've been listening to metal for over 40 years. They are easily in my top 10 favorite metal bands ever. Quick thing about Jinjer, they are from Ukraine, their names are Tatiana (vocals), Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums). Ohh hell yeah! Such an amazing band, Jinjer does not have a bad song. I'm excited for the premiere! I'm sure you're probably going to enjoy them so here are a few recommendations I have from this band!! Here: "Perennial (live at Wacken 2019)" + "Teacher Teacher" + "Who is Gonna Be the One" (live from Napalm Records) + "Cloud Factory (official live version)"! Hope to see more Jinjer + excited for more Spiritbox -- they are Jinjer-approved by the way lol. The bass player + vocalist of Jinjer were recently talking about how Spiritbox is a band they frequently listen to + how IWABO inspired their early work (like 2010 era). According to Tatiana (vocalist for Jinjer): "...Spiritbox is bomb!" 👍👍👍
@@TankTheTech Just remember, the Live at Wacken, not the official video. The official video is good but you need to see (and hear) a live performance cause Jinjer is a master of live performances.

I'm glad you recognised the drummer's capacity.. I think more people need to hear his playing. and Tatiana.. I think it's fair to say whoever made her broke the mould afterwards.
All 4 of them are top-tier at what they do. Personally, I love the way having just a single guitarist sometimes lets Eugene on bass step up to fingertap melody while Roman on guitar creates a lush soundscape. Vlad's a beast on the drums too- I find his allergy to 4/4 amusing sometimes- even when it has to be there sometimes for a big chorus, he gets bored & diguises the fact! LOL btw, I'm guessing not many bands have a drummer who's a trained pianist, & who is also convincing on guitar & bass, & has deep compositional skill. And Tatiana is a generational talent with her many voices, obviously. Also, considering English is a 2nd or 3rd language for these guys, their lyrics put many natively-English-speaking bands/artists to shame. Truly a multiple-lightning-strike band imho. Tremendous. :)
Jinjer has a live video of their song Pit of Consciousness that you definitely need to check out, also their song Perennial live at Wacken is great too
From what I understand this version was recorded this way specifically because they had recently added the drummer, Vlad, and they liked the way he played this song (it is a bit different from the album version). I always say this is mostly the introductory/surprise factor song for Jinjer and most people who stick with them, I think, tend to cite other songs as their favorites. To my ear their official live recordings are some of the best sounding live recordings I've seen. "Who is Gonna be the One" seems to have been suggested a bunch already but I also particularly enjoy "Captain Clock" live at Resurrection Fest 2018 which I don't think I see as often.

Its like they designed this song for the UA-cam reactor community!! I know this was over 2 years ago and I'm late to the party... But... Welcome Tank! You've been initiated!!!
Hi, Tank, Tetiana has been singing in 8 different bands since she was 15 years old. She was born in 1987, in the year of Cat (Rabbit) according to the Chinese horoscope. Her Zodiac sign is Pisces. Listen to the great lyrics of this song! Tatiana, as a matter of fact, tells here about herself, reveals the personality and character of a Pisces personality....
Hey Tank, I loved your rxn! Tatiana’s vocals are signature but extra credit for how you respected the drummer and bassist. They get forgotten in most rxns because people focus on the vocals. I like how you appreciated other qualities of the song. Like others said, watch Who is Gonna Be the One (live). Thanks! Looking forward to more!
Arrrrrgh! Talk about angels and demons! Then she goes straight back to sweetest as you like. Love the instruments too. Moving like a fish (Pisces), skittish.
Tatiana is untrained. Drinks, smokes, doesn't warm up, and in many of their songs, she transitions mid line completely seamlessly. Some of her favorite music includes Amy Whinehouse, reggae, Native American, and Mongolian music.
i just hope she do warm up and cool downs, cut down smoking as these could really hurt her voice in the long run. maybe not for now but in a few years negative effects will show. though not judging. just dont wanna see her retire cause she cant sing anymore
@@Kakashi19-69 I don`t think she is just going in like it is nothing. I mean, a concert takes up to two hours of jumping up and down, waving, being present, singing, shouting etc.. She is not just hopping in and do it like it`s her morning routine. She grew up with being amazed by artists like oteph (who she mentioned to copy alot in her teenager years in front of her mirror) and copied them. Screaming, growling singing is a very technical thing to do. If you start in a young age, it becomes second nature and does not hurt or makes you uncomfortable (unless you have to cough, then it goes bad very quick for some reason I don`t know). I can growl without feeling exhausted or limited after that. It`s technical, not pure strength at all. It sounds like it, but is not different than hitting a clear note. But I did it in my early teens I started "singing" (I was never really good at singing) at eleven, got my first heavy metal mixtape at my 7th birthday and was fascinated with rock and metal. I recorded myself doing it (although my tapes sound funny when I hear them) just to hear me from the "outside" and getting better with every run. I stopped when I had to go to the army (mandatory service) and from then on never went back. In short, about 9 years of (up to 4 hours daily, yes my parents were not amused at all and it caused alot of conflict) shouting, screaming, growling, singing in my room (it was my hobby, like others I had desires to please in my teenage years) I have a tape with me constantly singing the same line for 60 minutes until I was ok with that (I had a cassette recorder and no mic) When you do it as a teenager you become familiar very fast with growling without your voice getting tired. I`m 43 now and still can do it (Although I don`t sound very good anymore as my lifechoices were poorly made and working is more important today than singing along to improve myself). But back to what I wanted to say: There is no way she is not warming up and there is no way she just walks off the stage like it`s nothing. That whole stage thing is like you would do your gym hours and not feeling anything. Also even when you are trained a couple of notes you want to hit come with a warm up, not from the get go. In conclusion: I think that is some kind of nonsense
😂you were so amazed you didn't even mention their gear! I love how this became one of the most reacted to vids on YT. Which, when you look at the structure of the song, is fair enough. It's like it's built to be reacted to with, like, at least a half-dozen good points to pause at.
2:46 funny you mention that. This was rerecorded becuse they got a new drummer and wanted to show him off lol. Since the song sounds different with him

After all the reactions and me knowing the band beforehand, this is a great summary!
So i figured out how she does it!! The lead singer of Amon Amarth leaves his body through astral projection and possesses her during the chorus.
Hahahahahaha
Even people who don't like growling love it when Tati growls.
I can agree with this
Because that's what a growl should sound like! 🎯🙌
Same with Unleash the Archers...it's the purposeful decisions on when and where to use the growling. They are making music, not noise.

Then she goes straight back to sweetest as you like.
Love the instruments too.
Moving like a fish (Pisces), skittish.
I love it when someone reacts to this song for the first time, I can watch these reaction vidz all day long, welcome to jinjer
Tatiana is untrained. Drinks, smokes, doesn't warm up, and in many of their songs, she transitions mid line completely seamlessly. Some of her favorite music includes Amy Whinehouse, reggae, Native American, and Mongolian music.
Gwen Stefani is another big influence of hers.
Otep is also on that list
i just hope she do warm up and cool downs, cut down smoking as these could really hurt her voice in the long run. maybe not for now but in a few years negative effects will show. though not judging. just dont wanna see her retire cause she cant sing anymore
@@plantdesigns7889 Awesome, when I first heard her immediately thought of Gwen stefani
In short, about 9 years of (up to 4 hours daily, yes my parents were not amused at all and it caused alot of conflict) shouting, screaming, growling, singing in my room (it was my hobby, like others I had desires to please in my teenage years)
I have a tape with me constantly singing the same line for 60 minutes until I was ok with that (I had a cassette recorder and no mic) When you do it as a teenager you become familiar very fast with growling without your voice getting tired.
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Its quite the journey.
just if not known
i really would love to see a reaction to "the ocean - permian the great dying"
it's a 9min monster yes, but absolut worth it
you just cant imagine how many time you will wow with this band !!!!!
“I’m probably going to stop at some point”. Haha yeah we all know when 😂
😂you were so amazed you didn't even mention their gear!
Since the song sounds different with him
She is truly one of the greatest singers atm. Beautiful, vocal Range, energy on stage.
The Jinjer army has put out an alert to the Nightwish army. Standby
Hahaha. Definitely gonna try out some Nightwish soon.
Hello Jinger Army Were waiting Honestly though they are Great just not Nightwish Certainly no disrespect intended just different I always check new reactions to this song
That expression on your face during the first growl... "A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one" haha! Loved all your Jinjer reactions, especially the tech commentary.
Starting this vid. Gets to
Tank:"I'm probably going to stop at some point"
All of us who know what's up: "YEAH, you are..."
Hahahahahaha
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole
Not even going to lie, first time I heard this song, I was fuckin hooked on Jinjer. Check out Teacher Teacher.
Great reaction! It never gets old seeing first timers cherry popped when first hearing Jinger. Awesome!
Dude!!! You gotta check out “Outlander” by Jinjer. It’s an older video from 2014 but it’s f***ing killer!!
It's really nice to watch a real and spontaneous reaction like this! It's almost impossible not to rock with the song, this band is outstanding! Recently discovered them and it's being a pleasure listening to their discography. Anxious for the next album! Great video man! Cheers from Brazil (sorry for the bad english) 🤘🏻
Your English is great! Thank you!
If you don't know them, a reaction to "UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Awakening (Full Band Playthrough Video) | Napalm Records" would be great. Greetings
Not familiar with them, so I'll check it out! Thanks!
UTA and Jinjer will forever be connected in my head despite their completely different styles. I found Jinjer because they're on the same record label as UTA.
Totally agree. I hadn’t heard of them till I saw someone react to Awakening, now I’ve been checking out their other songs.
If you're looking for another absolutely epic band to checkout if you havent heard them already, Nightwish, and a good first song to get into them with is Ghost Love Score, the official live from 6 years ago at Wacken 2013
Yo, that "In Flames" on background got me the chills
Tank You remind me of Jason Lee in Mallrats. You kind of sound like him and look just like him with a beard. It’s awesome dude.
You're maybe the 4th or 5th person in the last day that's said that, and I've never heard that in my life until now. Hahaha. That's awesome! Thanks man!
Thank you for youre reaction 🤘
Jinjer is awesome
Thank you for watching!
Teacher teacher, perennial live at wacken 2019, who is gonna be the one live all good songs to react to by Jinjer
Definitely doing Perennial and Teacher Teacher soon!
Never apologize when you rewind Jinjer.
Love from Ukraine🇺🇦
Brilliant reaction. I was worried because you were expecting something to happen, but you didn't disappoint, as no-one expects Tatiana to do her other voice.
Extremely glad that Pisces was your first reaction to the band.
Love the Wow! counter.
