THEN I checked out the 'Pisces' video and my head exploded just like Julia's here, even though I knew the music already. I really had no idea - someone like Alissa White-Gluz, her harsh voice sounds distinctly female and not too different from her clean voice.

Julia, I have been attending concerts for 5 decades and I saw Jinjer live at The Zoo in Brisbane on March 7th this year.
I rated the concert in the top 5 I have seen, they are that good.
Yes, Tatiana's vocals are outstanding, but she is just 1 of 4 equally talented musicians.
Her technique, (as you so well pointed out) allows for no vocal damage, as she is able to perform night after night with apparent ease.
She writes most, if not all the lyrics, and covers a myriad of topics and issues.
Another song to showcase her vocal strengths, (both growls and cleans) is 'I Speak Astronomy'.
Such was their demand on their short Australian tour that they added an extra show on March 8th, mere hours before they were scheduled to fly to South America for dates there.
Of course, Covid-19 really kicked in then and they went into isolation in Lks Angeles when air travel shut down.
Their journey to fame has been 10 years of hard slog and travelling in a cramped van.
I am glad their talent is now being fully realized and appreciated.
Another wonderful reaction and analysis, and new underwear heading your way in the mail...LOL !! 😂😂

As a speech pathologist I can kind of explain how she does it. Our "true" vocal folds are what we use to make sound possible for speaking and singing. Right above the true folds are the "false" vocal folds. She is keeping her true folds open and using her false cords to make the screaming sounds.

All are good options, but you have to take in account the type of person who is doing a reaction. First song for all reactors is always Pisces, no doubt about that. But then the path separates. For metalheads, the next song is Who Is Gonna Be The One (extra low growls, nice musicianship by entire band), for hip-hop fans it's Teacher,Teacher (and not only because of Tati's rapping at the beginning). For those who do not belong to either of those groups, the second song from Jinjer must be Perennial.
So in this case, I believe, the Perennial - Live at Wacken is the correct choice.

I can see I'm late to the party here, so my comment will probably be buried and go unnoticed, but I'll give it a go anyway just because I think this is possibly the best reaction video I've seen to this song, and I've seen a LOT of them.
I always enjoy watching reaction videos to this song, particularly vocal coaches. I, for one, would love it if you could get your friend to go into more detail about the techniques. Tara Simon talked about it a bit in her reaction video, but like you, it's not her area of expertise. Like many of the people in the comment section, it's a minor hobby of mine to watch reaction videos to this song, so I've seen dozens, if not hundreds, of reactions to it. I know I've seen at least one male vocal coach replicate the effect to some degree, but it would be interesting to hear a female do it.
One thing I particularly enjoyed about your video is the little segment you did on the time signatures. As a Rush fan, I'm always interested when I hear complicated time signatures, and this song has that in spades - going from the 7 (or 3+4) beat section you commented on, to a 3 beat transition into the 4 beat chorus. I've heard precious few reactors even mention this, and you're the first I've heard go into this much detail about it. Delightful!
Finally, your mention of the "second line" places you in a very small minority of reactors I've seen who've noticed or commented on that. I feel that it's even more noticeable in the growl sections, where it seems like the second line has probably been pitched lower. Another reason I'd love to hear your friend's reaction, to find out if she believes that to be the case. I came to suspect this after watching multiple live-in-concert videos of this song, and especially after watching this studio recording session: ua-cam.com/video/U655IytKPnk/v-deo.html where the growl, though still impressive, doesn't have that almost supernatural, demonic quality.
Anyway, if you've actually read this far, thanks for your attention, and thanks for an excellent reaction video.

I've spent the last week watching reactions to this song since i discovered it myself, yours is probably the best! Both for the actual reaction itself but then also your insight on her singing techniques! Liked and subbed :)

Tatiana is an absolute MONSTER!! this whole song is amazing, but my favourite part is definitely that clean belt in between the screams. It just hits so right. I love Jinjer!

What is truly amazing is Tatiana's recovery between the two COMPLETELY different vocals. She seems to go from a stable Alto'ish singing style to a pure METAL Scream & back again without any seeming Stress. Also NEVER Underestimate the importance of a good, well tuned Fight/Flight mechanism. We have one for a REALLY Damn Good Reason.

You might like Alice in Chains (Would?, Rooster, Man in a Box), Pantera (Cemetery Gates), Killswitch Engage (Holy Diver), Emilie Autumn (Opheliac), Tool (Schism), Stone Sour (Bother), A Perfect CIrcle (Judith) , System of a Down (Aerials), if you like this band. Also, hard pass for them all.

OK, this is one of my favorite reactions to this song. When you said "did you do that so I would pee myself" literally made me laugh out loud. To really appreciate Jinjer and Tatiana's vocals, you need to watch their live shows. She is an amazing frontwoman with more energy than any person should be allowed to have.

For another female metal vocalist, check out Brittney Slayes from Unleash The Archers. She is a goddess at belting high notes that will shatter the earth. Ease into her with their song Abyss, then split the earth in two with Tonight We Ride 🤘🇨🇦 you won't be disappointed
