As a nurse, I LOVE seeing my patients and families out in the community. Years ago I was a nurse at The Children’s Hospital, Boston. I had taken care of this sweet baby after she had open heart surgery. 1 year later, I’m in Porter Square, going into a pub and I heard my name. It was the mum with the little girl. Both looked amazing. I wish you all the best and much love from SW France.

@rebel4466 honestly I literally know someone who made it up... She had breast cancer once and then claimed it had returned and she was going to die, which eventually turned out to be a lie. Totally insane! But those cases are very, very rare! Normally sane people do NOT make this kind of stuff up and accusing someone of lying simply because you can't see the scar tissue is equally insane!

I agree with you but sadly this is a reality for many who get sick either cancer or chronic illnesses or disabilities. I've gone through it for many years and even though it's hard can see that with all the scammers out there that many are skeptical.
Hi! Physio student here! You should look up the path of the trigeminal nerve as a couple of it's branches run close to where your scar is. It could have become more sensitized from surgery, and nerves if damaged regenerate very slowly. Also it makes sense if it's only on one side of your face from the middle as that's the path of the nerve!
I can't express to you in words how happy I am to hear from you! I was so worried about you. I don't really use Instagram because I am blind and the Instagram app is not the most user-friendly for blind people, since it mostly has to do with photos. When I saw this just now I was genuinely relieved. I'm sending you a big hug. I don't understand how or what kind of twisted brains people have to accuse you of lying about what you have been through, I don't understand how anyone would do that I think your encounter with your doctor at the Bar is super cool and he sounds Like a guardian angel in a way. If you can, please keep us posted. I will try and see if I can follow you on Instagram but as I said I have trouble with that app because the screen reader doesn't make a lot of sense when you are on the app. Big hugs
Hi Eireann, Thank you for sharing your story and keeping us updated. I am a PhD student in Buffalo, NY, USA, studying the mechanisms of cancer and investigating different immunotherapies. Your updates give profound meaning to my work, and I am sure to other scientists and physicians. I am cheering for you and hope nothing but great things ahead. Thank you again! Cheers!
My results of my mri scan on my head are nothings changed I have still got a little bit of the tumour in my head they have to keep monitoring. Keep fighting we will beat this
Good to hear your good news! Sorry you had such a painful experience with your headaches; glad it’s much better now. I thought you were going to tell a joke with the bar. Eireann, Devin and friends walk into a bar. They meet a brain surgeon……….. 😊
You look absolutely stunning. I was worried because you were MIA, I always checked for updates. Very greatful about your good results and you feeling better with your new meds. Your neurosurgeon sounds so very great. I'm happy for your amazing relationship with him. You're doing so well I'm rooting for you ❤
Hi there! I got diagnosed with a low grade glioma in March (at age 35) out of the blue and had surgery a couple weeks later to have it removed. I'm following up with an MRI every 3 months. My first MRI since surgery came out good, and I'm due for my next one in September. A friend of mine told me about your channel and what you're going through. I just want to send lots of hugs and love and healing thoughts to you in your recovery. -Dave
Your serendipitous encounter with your surgeon in the pub is a very good sign. You each are certainly an important part of the life work. You sound great Eireann, keep finding joy or rather being open when joy comes your way.
I see that you are doing well by the cheerfulness you are showing us! There are a lot of people going through or have gotten past dealing with cancer treatment. I am glad for myself being in remission and not having hospital stays and treatments and doctor visits!
I am so happy to hear from you again, Eireann! And, I am thrilled to know that you are doing well. Just want to say that like you I am a cancer survivor for almost 3 years now. What I am very thankful for now is the Canadian Healthcare system. Not only did I get a good oncologist in one of the best cancer hospitals in the world (Princess Margaret Hospital), but also the no worry on my dozens of blood tests, xrays, MRI, scans, shots, hospital supplies, nurse visits at home, regular surgeon check-ups and hospital stays. We tend to overlook this part sometimes, but I know I will always be appreciative especially when I am only paying for my parking fee at the hospital or clinic for my check-ups! On top of that, I will be monitored for the next 7 years of my life every 4 months with no money up front to pay! The simple thought of not paying any thing to my doctors, the hospital/clinic, and my numerous tests along the way will help me focus on my recovery. Aside from cancer remission, the best feeling is leaving the hospital and clinics without any fees to pay! Yes, you just say thank you and leave OUT THE DOOR! No long list of itemized fees to go over to check and pay first before being allowed to go home! THANK YOU, CANADA! ♥All the best to you Eireann, and take care! I am glad that you got your Canadian Health Card that entitled you to free healthcare here in Canada because we know how astronomical healtcare bills are for non-Canadians. PS: Your oncologist is really cool!
I've also had beers with a neurosurgeon before. But it wasn't one that treated me. It was the dad of a close friend of mine. Kinda funny that she had her brain tumor removal by someone else. It feels like these highly intelligent professionals aren't human anymore, but the guy was/is very down to earth. After all he has seen in all the stages of his medical career, it felt like he was very "normal". Like he didn't really care about what others might think or what would happen in the grand scheme of things. He was just himself. Not trying to impress anyone, not trying to fool anyone or be seen as someone that he isn't. That's rare in people today.
Good to hear your update. Crazy that people dont believe you had surgery. I have had people tell me that i dont look like i had my surgery either but thankfully they have never said i was lying. Cant they just be happy that we were able to have good doctors that could do the surgery without having to shave our hair off. Having a great doctor has made all the difference for me also. I pray you will contune to have good results and get another great doctor. I have my 18month checkup next month also. Praying for good results
You look so beautiful!!! You should never worry about bringing people down. This is to help YOU!!! Please be assertive with doctors!! Oh thank God you can breathe!!!! Your hair is gorgeous!!!
ehhh, the viewers here are more important, both because of just sheer numbers, and also because a bunch of the viewers will ALSO have brain tumors of their own anyway. Not that we should always avoid ever talking about sad things though.
I’m so glad to see you looking so well and that your May scans are clear. And nice to know your Neurosurgeon is just a regular guy outside the OR. (Let’s not lose sight of the fact that he IS A BRAIN SURGEON!!) lol. I had noticed that I hadn’t seen you on UA-cam for a while, so I was a little worried. I’m glad you posted. Take care sweet girl and stay well!! PS I hope the drama is behind you with whatever you were going through. 😊
Éireann, you're totally amazing. Devin is one lucky guy to find an angel. Including mine, you got all of our hearts. It's so wonderful to see you kicking around and keeping others on their toes. Éireann, Miss Angel from Ireland. When you and Devin settle in Ireland, please give us a public P.O. box so we can send both of you letters and care packages. With 💖
I watch your videos because you are sooo incredibly strong. You always look on the bright side and it’s extremely humbling (in a very good way). Thank you for sharing your journey!
I am so happy to see you!!! You look absolutely beautiful. I just checked the insta...Yay! I really don't get anyone seeing anything but sincerity in you. Some people are just to miserable inside and project onto others. So happy for your scans and other news ;)
The problem with being in the public eye is that you always find weirdos. Ignore the nasty comments. I'm so impressed with your positive attitude. I'm happy to hear that things are improving. I know that this has nothing to do with your health and life challenges, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm just going to say the obvious - you are absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Not stalking, just appreciating and sharing. Good luck with your move to Ireland.
Haha that's great you saw your surgeon when you were out! A human experience! And he hung out with you♥️ That was a spiritual encounter✨ Keep being well🦋🦋🦋🦋
Currently waiting up to 21 weeks in the UK jn the nhs system for a colonoscopy and mri, after hospital admission where I nearly died from internal infection from whatever the hell is inside my stomach, 12 years of this, and I’m still waiting, getting weaker and just so fed up with the UK health system. Hopefully I don’t die before it’s too late. Thank you for being brave and sharing aerinn, I’ll be honest, it’s been a very lonely place, nobody to talk to about this awful feeling of not knowing.
You look so healthy! Thanks for the update on the good news with your latest scan! And how cool is that, having a casual chat with your neuro surgeon, the one and only, that has actually been into yr brain..Have a really nice weekend!🌸
Hello, beautiful! 🌷 I actually thought about you the other day and went on your channel to see if there were any new videos that I might have missed. So happy to see you and to hear about your MRI results! Lots of love and super positive vibes from Italy! ❤️💪💪
So... you are amazing in how you are helping people and how you have reacted so well through your whole ordeal. You are also a beautiful young lady with a beautiful smile. This may sound weird, but I can't stop looking at your perfect smile and teeth. Ha! Anyway, my wife and 2 kids are traveling from the US to Ireland in like 9 days. So I now know how to use the word "craic" , "lovely" and "grand". I always wanted to see where my family was from, which is Aughnicliffe and Fostra. So we are flying in to Dublin, heading down to Kinsale, over to Dingle (I think I'll love there), Galway, then west of Sligo, then Roscommon (near where my O'Connor and Ward family lived 120 years ago), then back to Dublin and fly out the following day. I'm binge watching your videos. You are really craic, lovely, and grand! How'd I do?
like there could be very visible in your face proof and people will sadly still go out of their way to assume and accuse bc they have no lives and no hearts. it's quite literally a little bit insane. just ignore them. lol but i'm glad you continue to look on the bright side of life despite the ups and downs, you're a total inspiration for us all. continue to stay strong spirited and thanks for blessing us with this channel. your face (including your brows) and hair are flawless imo!
I love you Éireann! You and Dev are wonderful people! The way you carry yourself and interact with even your physician are remarkable for your age. I'm so happy that I stumbled across your video's. You are a blessing to know and a blessing to anyone going through the very same thing you had gone through. I will pray for you and Dev for the rest of my life!❤🫂🙏
Glad to hear from you and learn some positive results! But also, you don't owe anyone anything, please take all the time you need and don't feel like you need to share things you aren't comfortable sharing. I'll be here whenever you're ready to upload, and I wish you the very best!
I'm super happy to hear you are doing a lot better now! The nerve pain you are getting around your eyebrows reminds me a lot of my mothers pain after her brain injury. She was offered Botox first and then put on Pregabalin to help with the pain. If you arent on something already that could be worth looking into. ❤
Your sharing is so sweet! Someone in my advocacy and caregiving has been dealing with a similar situation to yours. It is so good to get input and experiences from others in the same boat. Take care of yourself, and share only what you wish to--it's your choice, and you are so kind in how you share.
Eireann, about the sensitivity/ sensation in your eyebrows and forehead… I’ve had 4 craniotomies… incisions going from one ear to the other, over the top of my head and the last one I had was in 2016 and the super sharp feeling when areas are touched is much more dull now than for probably the first two years. It’s definitely hard to say how much better one will get as they typically say whatever things you like around six months post op is howis how they will stay. But mine change for two years at least. I was also told the best thing to do is to be touching those areas as that will help desensitize them. I also had a bizarre thing that I still have, I will feel an itch on my head and scratch where I think the itch is but feel the scratching elsewhere on my head!!! it is a bizarre feeling, and that is still there!
I have been wondering how you are! So great to hear from you and find out that you've been out chilling with your doctor. ;) Looking forward to more updates.
I love this update, and you look phenomenal! The sharp sensation in your forehead like glass/needles is likely nerve damage which will hopefully improve over the next few months to years and become a little bit more bearable with contact🤞🏻try and touch the area as much as possible as it usually helps in the long run. We get on well with my daughter's neurosurgeon too, he is like family, his office even has pictures up that my LO has done for him and his latest gift from her was a clay brain she made though he couldnt decide whether he wanted to keep it at work or take it home 😂
Thanks for posting this update. I kept checking... Like most folks who watch your videos, I wish you 100% healthy. Scammers are out there, but it is obvious that you are not one of them. I'm glad for the good news about your recent MRI.
haha i saw the picture of you both on your story, how cool! i’d love to run into my neurosurgeon and chat to him, i really appreciate all that they do 😭
Keep up the good work you’re beautiful amazing and talented. Don’t let no one get you for who you are because you’re gorgeous. If you need to take a break, take a break don’t let people judge you because you wanna take a break. You’re adorable. You’re one of a kind.
Your eyebrows literally look amazing and perfect just like you. Also what an amazing experience you got to have with your surgeon. What a nice guy. ❤ Also totally understand that there are things you would rather not share. It's your life, you don't owe us anything! We are just here to support and love on you because we can see you are special and we care.
Thanks for the update -- really nice story about meeting up with the surgeon. Keep your positive energy. Looking forward to your next video. Prayers sent your way!
Great to see you and to hear you had a positive MRI! Girl, your hair grows faster than my hair does in 10 years time lol! The people who accuse you of lying are not worth your time. Internet trolls with no life of their own! But well, I'm not on Insta a lot (Facebook generation I suppose haha), but I should start following you there now!
So good to see our Irish lass ☘️ you look extra beautiful! What a wonderful neurosurgeon you have! He obviously cares about you very much! I’ve been worried so I’m glad you checked in. Thank you for taking the time . 🙏🏻 prayers for healing
You look absolutely fantastic! So glad you are coming along nicely. I know you must be looking forward to seeing family and friends in Ireland. I look forward to seeing your videos from there.
So so happy to hear about the good MRI results! I don’t understand why people would say that you are lying, I can bark at them if you want! Love from Bosse 🐾 and my Mum 😊
I appreciate that you have the captions turned on. Irish accents are difficult! It was so cool you got to see your surgeon. And I think that your eyebrows look fine. I don't even notice them. I'm sorry they hurt but I didn't even notice anything about them. Your hair is so beautiful.

It shows in the video that you are more relaxed. So good to see that. I love good news so thanks for sharing. Back on top and looking sharp.
So happy for you! My son just got home from a vacation all over Ireland! He loved it! So happy you are feeling so well! 😍👏🙏🏻
So happy to see life is returning to a more normal setting for you. Best wishes for your hime home too.
Omg! The synchronicities of life❤ A drink with your neuro surgeon ❤
Awe so happy you’re doing well !! And girly your eyebrows look perfect ❤❤much love from Canada 💕💕
Yes I am on Pregabalin (Lyrica ) 3x day and it’s a miracle I don’t have excruciating pain in head with it . I couldn’t even touch my head.
Your sharing is so sweet! Someone in my advocacy and caregiving has been dealing with a similar situation to yours. It is so good to get input and experiences from others in the same boat. Take care of yourself, and share only what you wish to--it's your choice, and you are so kind in how you share.
"You live from test to test with cancer, not by the calender" so said my sister in law who died at age 50 from stomach cancer.
so happy to hear about your good results!
Lovely to see you again Eireann! And looking so well too! Thanks for the update. Take care of yourself! Love from the UK xx
Wishing you the best of health and life Eireann!
All best wishes to you, sweet girl. Everyone here on this site is on your team. ❤

It's so great to hear from you! Glad you're doing okay, keep it up. Your strength in the face of all this is inspirational.
I appreciate that you have the captions turned on. Irish accents are difficult!
It was so cool you got to see your surgeon.
And I think that your eyebrows look fine. I don't even notice them. I'm sorry they hurt but I didn't even notice anything about them. Your hair is so beautiful.
