Excellent video. Your Dad showing up and helping choked me up. Lost my best friend/role model a few months back. Nonetheless, terrific video sir, just got my JL and this will be mod 1 of many.
Good thing it was free to you, not much sound at all, I had Afe 3” Rock Basher that dumps before axle, it was a little to loud, Ricey sounding, installed Magna Flow dump just like the Afe one, outstanding sound, low bass and the perfect sound for the v6, Magna flow spent time engineering the sound.
Mark Darnell it may not be obvious in the video but it does sound much better. The stock sound is more raspy/tinny sounding. The Flowmaster added a little more of a deeper growl without necessarily being much louder.
As a JK owner I'm thinking the JL exhaust sounds way better than the JK. Got a JL on the way and was thinking about changing the exhaust. This video convinced me to wait.
The rear camera angle reminds me of when we were kids and use to hang out the back of pickup truck beds and look down. Memories....Love that color man... BEX if you see this.... I used you as a YT thumbnail... I was happy to meet you. I hope you don't mind. Met you at SEMA. Thanks for the PIC too.
I dunno why but the JL sounds better than the JK, even with stock exhaust. Its hard to tell exactly how the exhaust sounds over PC speakers but it does sound a little better, does it drone on hwy speeds?
4everjeeper yeah I definitely agree. When I chose this exhaust I wasn’t sure how much off roading I would be doing, but it was so easy to switch I think I’ll put the stock one back on when I Plan to go wheeling.
Hello I was hopping you can answer a question for me. On cold start up do you think a muffler delete is loader than the flowmaster that you installed ? Thanks for your help
NutterButter hey man. Could you tell me about your outlaw system. Was hoping to find a good intermittence between rice and clean. Want that deep throaty sound but don’t want to wake up everyone or deal with crazy droning. Thanks
It didn’t rust, but all the black wore off except the tips. I’ve been spray painting the muffler and pipes with high heat spray paint after each winter.
It’s still very quiet inside but definitely has more of a growl from the outside. We haven’t had it on long enough to know if there’s a fuel economy difference.
SoManyBasses yeah, these tips would definitely get in the way. When I plan to go off roading I’ll swap the stock one back on since it’s so easy to change.
Absolute worthless upgrade & waste of money. I’ve been a Jeep owner from XJ, TJ, JK, & now JL = 30+ years. The exhaust on the new JL is a masterpiece. Set my opinion aside & I challenge you to put stats that show any significant power gain. The stock sound alone is a perfect balance. Complete waste.
Krasnaludek I personally feel that the slight increase in Exhaust tone from this muffler is a nice upgrade from stock. Just slightly throatier is my preference. That being said, if we hadn’t won it for free the only reason I would have wanted to change from stock is that I thought the stock exhaust was an eyesore. It should have been blacked out from the factory.

Where you came for @13:45 thank me later

Good video and nice sound quality. IMO there are no weird angles for a camera when shooting a Wrangler. Awesome from every perspective!
Justin Moody thank you!
Nice look. I wish mine had two pipes. I have a soft top, so no extra noise wanted.
pimpmyride magnaflow has a blacked out dual tip exhaust that is still quiet.
Nope. No thanks. It’s loud enough in the cabin without that muffler. I’m not saying that it’s noisy in general, but for a soft top it’s a no.

Torry Bisnett I’ll share with Bex!!!
@@shockerracing Thank you very much!!
What would rate the new muffler install on a one-to-five wake-the-neighbors-scale? One being stock and five being straight piped.
3 for sure. Nice rumble, not obnoxious
@@shockerracing 👍 🎶 to my ears
Nice! I got magnaflow cat-back installed on wednesday!
Maciek G my buddy has a Magnaflow and it sounds great!
I dunno why but the JL sounds better than the JK, even with stock exhaust. Its hard to tell exactly how the exhaust sounds over PC speakers but it does sound a little better, does it drone on hwy speeds?
Troy Dawson we haven’t had any drone at all. It’s just the right amount of extra growl.
Help me out here, is this strictly for sound quality or is there a performance benefit?
Scott Giles good question, it’s mainly for sound quality. I doubt it adds any power.
I prefer the muffler relocation off road exhaust, I smash too many tips and bang up muffler to much for this setup
4everjeeper yeah I definitely agree. When I chose this exhaust I wasn’t sure how much off roading I would be doing, but it was so easy to switch I think I’ll put the stock one back on when I
Plan to go wheeling.
Perfection! I wish I had those skills.
Great video, that lift is amazing!
Rich Beach thanks man! It’s definitely been awesome having a lift in my garage.
Nice video. Is the Force II or the outlaw series louder?
Holy hair..
what tires sizes are you running bud? exhaust sounds and looks great!
Hellcat_of_insta thanks! They are 20x9 Grid Off Road GD3’s with 35” BFG KO2’s
Jim doin WORK!! Nice!
Haggisss put his ass to work!
thank you very much from Russia✌🏿
I love sound 💨💨
great vid! what size wheel & tire are you running here?
Nathan Holmes thanks! They are 20x9” wheels on 35” tires.
I'm running 17x12.5 rims with 35" rubbers myself.
thank you, it was very helpful!
Duke Lee glad we could help!
Not a huge difference but the sound quality of the Flowmaster is better in my opinion. It lets everyone know it isn't stock.
Grab Life By Da Poosy it’s a nice subtle growl now that isn’t obnoxious inside
Hello
I was hopping you can answer a question for me. On cold start up do you think a muffler delete is loader than the flowmaster that you installed ? Thanks for your help
angel13jr I would definitely think so.
@@shockerracing thanks !
Hi!! Is there any rust since you installed it ? Thanks!
Fobuss Nutrition it hasn’t rusted at all but the black coating has worn off the muffler, so I have spray painted it with high heat paint.
Great video, nice ride
Sounds great !
Thanks man!!!
Sounds great man!!
Project offroad thanks! I’m really happy with it!
Great video!
chris rhoads thanks man!
It looks super ,but I dont think the sound significant different
any idea if this exhaust will work for 2.0 liter turbo
Chase Feist I’m not sure, you would have to check with Flowmaster.
Cool video, dude! 👍🏻
Donny Mazinga thanks!
Which exhaust setup can I get to make it more aggressive??
moises lopez look at the outlaw series by Flowmaster. I’ve got it and it sounds much more aggressive than this
NutterButter hey man. Could you tell me about your outlaw system. Was hoping to find a good intermittence between rice and clean. Want that deep throaty sound but don’t want to wake up everyone or deal with crazy droning. Thanks
I'm getting my outlaw installed with a cold air intake next week. I can't wait.
Sounds great man, which engine you have?
Yan Handpays thanks! It’s the 3.6.
2.0 or 3.6? Sounds like 3.6.
3.6l
Does it resonate in the cabin at curtain highway speeds?
Hector Serrano not at all! There isn’t any drone.
Hector Serrano the interior sound is only slightly louder than the factory exhaust.
@@shockerracing thank you
How tall are those ceilings for that lift?
Michael Ward we have 12’ ceilings
Has it rusted badly?
It didn’t rust, but all the black wore off except the tips. I’ve been spray painting the muffler and pipes with high heat spray paint after each winter.
@@shockerracing thanks gonna go Flowmaster and Airaid
Sounds absolutely no different....Improved or loss of gas mileage?
It’s still very quiet inside but definitely has more of a growl from the outside. We haven’t had it on long enough to know if there’s a fuel economy difference.
Should be the same being an axle back.
Zoom zoom.
Sad to say but the stock exhaust sounded better. The flowmaster is to quiet
P&C Outdoor Services lawncare are you deaf?
@@Greenpurple1030 nope
P&C Outdoor Services lawncare just heard this exhaust on my friends JL today. Yah right it’s quiet
Too ricey sounding for me
LOL. That's not the exhaust for people that actually take their Jeeps offload.....
SoManyBasses yeah, these tips would definitely get in the way. When I plan to go off roading I’ll swap the stock one back on since it’s so easy to change.
Rusts before 1 year, flowmaster does not stand behind their product, waste of money
You have one installed ? I have bought one and I’d like to see where has rusted .
All over. The one I purchased was the flowmaster force 2 axle back. 500 dollars and 8 months later, totally rusted.
I dont know how to attach a photo to these replies if you know how tell me I will post photos

I think it’s nice for something free.
I just added the Flowmaster outlaw on my 21 rubicon 3.6. Way more aggressive sound. On the dynomax we gained 9hp. Zero waste.
