What’s up guys!
It’s time to add a new exhaust system to the Jeep Gladiator!
But instead of just making a video on the exhaust upgrade, I decided to do some testing to see if the Cold air intake and exhaust actually made any difference at all!
In this video, we do a lot haha. I know it’s a little long, but we find out some really cool data.
The intake did indeed help out with performance, as well as the cat back exhaust.
Both paired together was an extremely noticeable difference.
I am using the Tazer JL to record the 0-60 tests, and I will make a video on the Tazer soon. Going over all the functions and how to use them.

This video alone made me SUBSCRIBE! This is how you do a proper review. You had a stock base. You tested every combination of exhaust & intake. You weighed all the exhaust systems. Great video of installation and comparison against stock parts. Great sound clips both inside and out vs each combination. Great data to back performance claims. And most important a good honest opinion of what you like best after all is said and done. Best of all your wife's enthusiasm is the greatest! She seems genuine in supporting your hobby and looks to enjoy it herself. I wish you two the best and look forward to watching more of your channel.

Any time I weigh something large and awkward, first I weigh myself, then weigh myself holding the part and then subtract the original weight to get the difference. I've found it's more accurate. Hope that helps. Keep up the good work.

Something was definitely a little off with the last part of the video. I dropped the speed down to 0.75 and it basically sounded normal. For fun drop the speed down to 0.5 on this last section and Ben sounds super faded.... lol
It even says he is going to speed it up.

Thank you, but sadly I have noticed my views decreasing, and the view retention rate dropping. I wanted to see if this would help or not. Mostly a test, while still being able to provide info. UA-cam will let you slow the video down as well.

Also keep your hand from blocking your view of the subject your speaking of. I find your hand waving in front of the subject most annoying. I clicked off because of it before. Got my manual Gladiator Sport after years of waiting and listening to all the rumors of the return of a Jeep truck. So far, my only mods are a stubby antenna I pulled off my FJ, AA battery rodent repellant (truck came from the dealership with a squirrel under the hood for +5hp), 2016 Tacoma tonneau cover, and $10 seat covers up front and a luxurious rear hammock for my dogs (priorities, right?). Getting an exhaust off youtube would be pretty sweet for my budget rig.. Next project: crushed beer can spacer lift..ingenuity shouldn't void warranty should it?

Lol, could it be LBN? Too funny.. Your Gladiator sounds nice, I like the quickness of the short exhaust installation by only having 1 muffler. I, too, like the quieter dual muffler setup especially when out trail riding all day.

Hey Ben. Love the work you’re doing on the JT! Just picked one up myself. Finished a 4” ready lift and 37” nitto ridge grapplers. Would love this exhaust to tie it off. Also is that a full spare 37” underneath? Keep up the good work and awesome videos 👍🏻

I put a Nismo CAI and a Magnaflow stainless Performance Series full exhaust on my Titan and I could tell a noticeable difference. I also installed a Bully Dog Triple GT programmer that made a nice difference.
I'm saving up for my first Jeep (Rubicon 2 dr soft top) and a nice pair of Crocs, so if I win, just give it to the runner up.

That was exactly what I was thinking.... Still debating on the back end rack for mine and now I need more details on this one because I for sure plan to add a RTT in the spring!
Dean Johnson bed racks are cool until it rains or, if you’re in the west like me, your stuff in the bed is covered with sand or dust. There has to be a way to install two Yakima or Thule bars across the metal Diamondback cover to support tents, bikes, kayaks, etc. Plus it would be easier to get your dog in a tent that’s closer to the ground.

Putting your foot to the floor and pencil to paper is really going to help viewers have an idea of what to expect and/or instill a confidence with their choice of cold air, or exhaust, or combo upgrades. I've kinda begun somewhat of a overland build on my gladiator as well as documenting the installs and trips here on the tube, which is a shot in the dark, but i enjoy doing it. I feel to get the maximum benefit from a CAI is to have completely wrapped in a heat reflective tape. Looks like heck but it’s one more layer to keep the engine heat at bay! Great video. 👍🏻

What are some good 35 in tires? I plan on lifting my jk 2 door wrangler by 2.5 or 3 inches and with a lift kit comes more space for bigger tires. Right now I have 33s I forget the brand though :(

They highly depends on the engine and stock set up. TJ's you get almost nothing, a honda civic you get 10% or so.

Y’all deserve a Medal of Honor and Nobel Peace Prize for breaking it down like this. And holy hell, wait until/if you re-gear to 4.88 or 5.13. You’ll be looking at sub 8 second 0-60 which is pretty nice on a rig running 37s haha

I just bought my wife a 10th Anniversary Rubicon 2dr with the red leather and anvil paint. We have 7 kids and are very excited to start our Dual Jeep Oversized Overlanding Family channel. We will be doing vids with the kids showcasing installs of roof racks, rooftop tents, fridges, winch’s, onboard air, lighting etc and camping trail days with all 9 of us...it’s gonna be craziness! My take on the exhaust and cold air intakes are simple: Anything that allows the engine to breathe easier is a good thing. Along with more power, when you are not driving aggressively, you get better gas mileage! The problem is most folks that install better exhausts and cold air intakes don't seem to have a lite foot!
Have you ever considered upgrading to the AFE Twisted Steel Down-Pipe? It looks like the Rock Basher 3 exhaust says "Up to +9 HP and +8 lbs. x ft. Torque in-house dyno proven gains", but the AFE Twisted Steel Down-Pipe says "Up to +14 HP and +24 lb.-ft. of torque gains". I am curious to know if you notice any real change with the down-pipes, I am guessing you will.
I have a 2007 5.3L V8 GMC Yukon That I am outfitting as a Overlander and installed a K&N Cold Air Intake System, And right away I noticed an increase in performance... My OBD2 app has an HP, torque meter (i don't know how accurate it is) and it showed that I gained 15HP, which is what K&N said it would. But not only was there an increase in HP but an increase in fuel economy. (when I'm not flooring the truck and having fun.. lol) The truck will inhale and exhale a lot easier now with the upgrades which entails more performance...

Hi THANKS for the opportunity to win this exhaust I was hopping you go with the one you did I like it loud , already have a could air intake so this will be grate I have a 2020 Gladiator with a 2.5 mopar lift & I put the 1.5 Teraflex leveling kit that you should how to install ,it came out GRATE, and going back to your question, to me a cold air intake & cat back exhaust, are a MUST you get performance sound & better fuel economy. Keeping my fingers crossed one that exhaust, THANKS for another GRATE video

I want to win the exhaust, on my 4th jeep, loved the Glatiator when I started seeing it months ago, sold my 2014 JK and bought my Overland about 2200 miles ago. Finished my spray on Rhino Shield berliner, installed my bed cover, 3 piece hard cover, had a cold air box on my JK and really liked the increased performance so that's next. Sounds like a performance exaust would be a perfect fit for my Overlander.
Would love the exhaust....I gotta White Launch edition, 2inch lift on 35's.....the stock exhaust ssuuucckks!!! Now I'm thinking about a CAI too. I got and 06 TJ with a dynomax exhaust, and Airraid CAI. Trying to fill my driveway with jeeps like you!!!LOL

I just stumbled across you today and well it looks like great minds think alike. I also installed afe cia and afe high tuck exhaust on my red Rubicon. I just got my 35's on rock-star 3 rims and about to install teraflex leveling kit. Actually your install video is how i just found you. Great videos btw. And i'd love to be entered into the contest for the exhaust. I was actually kinda disappointed at how quiet the high tuck afe is. One of my favorite upgrades is the hothead headliner. That is a must have. Thanks for the great info

I do exhaust /CAI on every vehicle I own. Regardless of the performance increases (which everyone has shown) it makes the vehicle yours and reflects your individual style. JEEPS were designed for customization, so I say GO FOR IT ! Plus.. who wants stock..lol
I dig both exhausts..... I like the rock basher a fuzz more . Im not running any muffler at all currently on my jku and its obnoxious sometimes. I have a 3.6 with manual 6 speed and a diablo tuner. That combo felt pretty peppy until i added bumpers and a winch lol . The added weight was very noticeable.... Personally speaking i think the gains of adding a cold air intake or exhaust is completely dependant on how good the factory components are to begin with. Your product testing definitely showed a gain .... Id like to see how fuel mileage might have been influenced as well.
I'm currently building my Gladiator, and will use the a f e rock basher. So far, I bed lined, 3.5 lift, 35" tires. Re-programmed the tire size with Rough Country. How about shipping to 60481?
I did the K&N FIPK on my RAM 5.7L back when I first got it in '05 and it made a HUGE difference in sound and noticable mpg gains. Still have it no regrets. BTW my wife's name is Cassie too HAHA!
I noticed a crack in your windshield. I would love to see you do a review of the Mopar Gorilla Glass by Corning when it becomes available for the Gladiator. I recent had one installed on my 2015 JKU. Love it.
Love your videos, I've had my 2020 Hydro Blue Rubicon Gladiator for 12 weeks as of today, I upgraded wheels and put on 37's...love the ride and would love a little beefy deep throat exhaust...I travel to and on the Beach here in NJ all year long so this exhaust would be an awesome add on to my Gladiiator build...hope to hear great news when you announce the winner..me..✌😎🇺🇸..safe travels..

I'm sorry, no baseline dyno, no after dyno, no true results. Until you're talking 30+ HP,, there's no way to you can tell a difference even with a stopwatch. Air pressure, temperature, warm tires vs. cold, humidity, sunny vs overcast, will give or take 5 hp alone. I like the channel though. Just wished there was real data backing the add-ons
Exhaust makes it louder, NOT more power unless you do header and complete exhaust.
Intake does minimal 3/5 if lucky. Put on DYNO is only way to be sure. People think when louder it's faster. NOT
Love to get the muffler f or my new 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus/Altitude, I just got for Christmas, the muffler is one of the mods I want to do. Really want to add some rumble to it. That and throw a nice push bar on the front, it’s Velvet Red (maroon) with everything else blacked out, nice black custom rims. Looks good, know just gotta make it sound good. ❤️👍🏼🤠

Very good video. Helpful on answering questions about aftermarket exhaust and CAI with Jeep engines....question. isn't it important to have vehicle Dyno to have computer set for the increase in air flow? Just curious. Always been told to dyno when messing with airflow....thank you
.75x playback speed for the breakdown will bring it right back to normal.

Hi Ben, I really like your channel and have been following your content for some time now. I came across your channel when I was looking for a front bumper for my JK last year. I got the barnes 4wd drive JK Pritchett Canyon Front Bumper. I really liked how it looked on your JK and it was the look I wanted for my JK. My JK has both a cold air intake and aftermarket exhaust. I feel they have given the jeep a bit of an increase in hp and speed. I'm on 35s and it still gets around quite fast for a jeep 😁. One quick question. When you went to 37’s did you get an aftermarket carrier for the spare? The factory only fits 35’s correct?

Dude you’re giving the exhaust away!? Love my gladiator! Bought it before even seeing it. Knew I needed it when I saw it for the first time at the Detroit Auto Shoe. Bought it at invoice and took delivery on May 8th 2019. I’d freak to have this Basher exhaust. Still debating on the right AI. Stuck between the Mopar for airaid. Thoughts. Great video but AFE is trash. Got the Apollo system from them, not built right. They won't honor the warranty after extensive documentation, pictures and troubleshooting. Would not recommend.
Just got my Gladiator last Monday. I’m coming from a 2015 JKU which had a S&B CAI and Pypes HGC exhaust. I miss the roar!!!
Honestly looking at replacing my factory Falkens with some lighter AT tires. Getting the MOPAR CAI i wonder how much MPG or power gains you actually get.
