What a fantastic video. I’ve been scouring UA-cam for something like this but this was just perfect!! Thanks Olly! May you get that dream pedal someday!
Thanks for this, and your other, videos. As there are sooooo many pedals to study, I'm wondering if you could point me in the direction of a few loopers to narrow down the field. I primarily want a looper for rehearsal and songwriting, and potentially for live use. Key features I need: 1. Reliable foot switches that are easy to engage for precise timing. I've struggle with BOSS lever style pedals in the past. Some pedal switches are engaged as they are released, which is awkward for timing. 2. Beats (for timing reference and inspiration only) and that can also be sent in isolated audio path to a drummer for timing in a live situation. 3. Overdub option (mostly for layering parts while rehearsing and song writing) 4. Good audio quality, as bad audio quality is a buzz kill. 5. I don't expect to need more than 4 minutes duration for individual loops, but additional memory for saved loops is obviously nice. 6. USB or SD card for saving and importing loops would be nice, but not a high priority
Thank you! I think for the features you’ve asked for, the price range I’d start looking at is £200 to £300. The Boss RC500 is good, has the metal foot switches which meet your requirements and excellent audio quality. And lots of connectivity options. Next up is the Dual Stereo Looper pedal from electro harmonix, which seems to fit the bill too. If you can afford more, then there are about 10 pedals for >£300 which will all be pretty spectacular (Headrush Looperboard, Boss RC505, boss RC600, pigtronix infinity looper, Electro Harmonix 44500) so it depends on your budget! Thanks so much for watching!
Great review!!! Just an FYI...The new title, "2024: The Year of the LOOP Pedal! Which One Should You Buy?" doesn't fit though... the Headrush Looperboard among other Headrush products is no longer available.
Thanks for watching. Do you mean Boss Loopers? I’ve tried a number of these over the years and always found them stable and good. What makes you say they are not good?

Thank you! I will change the title, this is a really helpful point
@@olivergearingthe video was published 2 years ago, the description mentions 2023, the title says 2024. 🤔
