Back in 94 when I was just starting to get the hang of the guitar enough to experiment without it just being joyful noise, I had nobody to jam with. I did have a collection of salvaged electronics and enough know how to build my own super sketchy, ghetto looping setup, using 3 old tape decks with makeshift foot switches. There was a lot of stopping and rewinding but I eventually figured out how to cut part of the tape with a good starter riff like this one so that it loops back onto itself, sort of like a tape echo deck (which I didn't know was a thing until recently lol). I was pretty damn proud of it and the music I could make all by myself, I couldn't wait to show it to my dad, he was in the hospital when I built it,. I was gonna show it to him when he got home, but he never got to come home. He told me he was proud of me the last time I talked to him, which was nice. Things kinda unraveled with him gone, though, and one thing and another got between me and my love for music because less than a year later all my music gear was long gone. About a month ago I got all new (and modern) music gear and already I'm able to play way better than when I was a kid. It pains me to think how well I'd be able to play if I'd never set it down. This video brought back some good and bad memories, mostly good though! Kids: NEVER put your instrument down, make them pry it from your old, dead hands!

New subscriber. This is easily the best Looper lesson I’ve seen. A horse with no name is a great starting point. I speak a someone who has struggled with this. Thanks.
Frank, I love that your channel is here to “get us gig ready”. Currently my idea of a gig is playing with friends and family. For example, this Summer I plan to play again at my cousin’s annual family bash. We usually have drums, bass, keys and my brother in law playing rhythm guitar and singing. He is the only one truly gig ready. Your video turned on a light bulb for me. I can use my looper to practice the guitar fills and layers that I try to add songs in the set list. Such a simple idea but I never thought about it. I was just occasionally using the looper as a something to improv to. Thanks again and keep the content coming✌️
Thank you for taking the time to share these techniques. Looping is something that many guitarists assume you should just know how to do. I must admit it can be humbling trying to get the rhythm right. You make it look so easy!
A lot of times peoples issues with looping actually a timing issue on the instrument itself. (Not saying that’s in your case) but it deff can be humbling. Just forces us to correct bad habits. Kind of like playing to a metronome does. Thank you for the comment I appreciate it.
Frank, clear as a bell how to use. I've had a looper for a few years. Never used it because never really got the hang of it especially the timing. Your counting in and out has switched the light on! Going to give it another go. Thank you.

Its hugh but it sounds great especially ran from the send of an effects loop and then output to a separate amp. This keeps the playback from muddying up the main amp. The buttons are great for precise timing and getting in and out of the loop without glitches. Its set up super simple like a tape player which makes it very intuitive. Ive tried the ditto pedals and found they're a little clunky when it comes to precise control. The whole double click to do this, hold down to do this is just hard to make work on the fly
Thanks for this more "basic" introduction to looping... although I'm sure it will still be a great challenge for me, but the way you have presented this lesson gives me confidence to jump in....
Way cool! I've played acoustic for 50 years (self taught, praise and worship)... and am finally trying some new techniques! Was looking for somebody to encourage me, the "old guy, " and start from the beginning, explain, and demo. THANK YOU! WOO HOO! (THANK YOU! WOO HOO!) Time to go looping!😀
Loved this video! You are a very good teacher, sir! The presentation was simple and easy, and not at all scary! I have suddenly renewed interest in picking up my guitar again, and trying this! Thank you!
Good demo on looper pedal, I’ll be looking into getting 1 but l want to continue during research on looper pedals, really cool to be able to play without having a band to play with etc. Thanks
I bought an RC-500, around three years ago and could never get the hang of it. I just got frustrated and haven’t touched it since. Your video is very inspiring and helpful! I will will have to try again. Being a soloist I definitely see the advantages of a looper. I didn’t think I could ever Travis pick landslide till I watched your videos for that, so perhaps there is hope for me using a looper, Lol! I really appreciate you Frank, I love all your videos and enjoy them very much. You are making a difference in people’s lives! keep up the great work! 😎👍🎸
Dude. I greatly appreciate the kind words. You can deff learn to Travis pick. I will make some vids about it in the near future. Slow and steady. Enjoy!
I bought the same Ditto pedal a year ago but haven’t been motivated to use it because I thought it was going to be complicated/frustrating. Your video was exactly what i needed, thanks. Super easy to understand and I loved the little bits of humor. Going to try Wish You Were Here with it for the intro where there are 2 guitar parts.
Very good demo. I'm recently the proud owner of a Martin D-18. I've been playing an electric guitar for 50 years and have finally decided to learn fingerpicking on an acoustic guitar. I've also been playing by myself and I wanted to find a way to accompany myself. Your introduction to looping has me excited. Thanks for the help. I'm hooked on looping.
Just found you (so to speak) and wanted to say thanks for the greta lessons. Looping maybe too advanced for me right now but I am going to check your other content. Really, Thank you Frank
You are welcome. I will try to add more beginner style content as well. The channel is just getting going and I have plans to include more basic lessons too:)
I have played with my looper/drum machine for months on and off…never really felt like I had the confidence to call myself “good at it”…I’ll keep playing and trying, this video was a great reminder, on fluency with the looper! Cheers mate, and thank you from 🇨🇦
Thanks. You explained the use of the loop pedal in a concise way. I have one somewhere that I bought and never used, I think mainly because I was applying it to songs that were just too complicated.
10:39 "Lot of great possibilities" Indeed! Playing guitar for years, I bought my first electric guitar about 6 years ago. I've never used any pedal yet, but a looper is really something which I could like... love?... become addicted to!! Thank you for this awesome presentation. I've subscribed (and gave you a thumb). 🥰
Great lesson-thanks! I wish I seen this YEARS ago. Looping and backing tracks have progressed me TREMENDOUSLY over the years past year more than anything!!
THANK YOU so much for this tutorial on looping! I’m fairly new at playing in the grand scheme but ready to start stepping out into the waters of looping, so this was very helpful ❤
I'm 70 and have been using one, actually several different loopers, for years, but I am still lacking confidence with it, this channel is helping me to get brave.
@@davidhollyfield5148 that's great! I'm still an early learner (even though I've been trying for about 7 years. 😋), so I'm not really up to pedals of any kind yet. 😋
Thank you so very much, I am an Old newbie to playing guitar. I learned 4 years ago at age 54 and love it! I have a lot of gear and hope to be playing for friend, family, and seniors and children in hospitals. I want them to enjoy music and feel the healing power of the music that has helped me in many ways and is still part of my healing process!!
My guy, this is the best looper vid ever. I’ve really struggled with the really complex video and this was just to the point with really useable examples. Ty!!!
You solved my loop dilemma . I used to miss my start position, you start your groove for a few strums first and then started loop after you got to the beginning of the strum riff. Thanks Frank !
Great to hear! Eventually you will get to the point where you will be able to catch it on the first go round if you practice the particular loop enough.
I love these videos. Please make as many of these as you feel up to. Very helpful and I’m sharing them with other people to get you more subscribers. 🙏
I followed this video and guess what...... I want a looping pedal... And i believe I could use it right out of the box.... Thank you and thank you for your easy way of teaching this to me..... I believe anyone who watches this teaching video can learn it to... You made it easy !!! 😊😊
Great that you use a brand and type of looper, I've seen before ( never used one though). And great that you showed us how it can be used.. how to do it, and the results you can attain.. I'm off to buy my first looper, knowing I've seen what the one I'm buying can do. Cheers !
Thanks Frank love your channel as a guitarist who enjoys looping. I have a electro harmonix 720 and I use it for creating loops then soloing over in the absence of vocals. I like the fade option of the 720 rather than the straight stop button. Keep those songs suggestions coming - awesome work!
Im an ex club and pub entertainer in the UK I am 72 still play and sing at home but miss audiences and I’m getting itchy feet again, your giving me inspiration to get out to an open mic night. Thanks Frank you’re brilliant.
Fun video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I bought a Boss loop pedal some time back and had fun playing with it when I first got it, but never really embraced it. I think it's time to get it out again and give these songs a try. The first two are in my wheel house, so I'll give it a try with those and see how it works out.
Cheers for the lesson… I’m an Aussie solo musician, I’ve been using a loop pedal @mygigs in a very basic form for years, just intro, solo & perhaps a dynamic change here n there , so now it’s time to expand… cheers for the insight…. Ps horse with no name coms out at almost every gig …. So I’ll learn th other 2…. Good onya 🤙🏽
I'm glad I found your video. I'm new to looping. There are songs out there I want to play, but I can't play three guitars at one time, so I don't even learn those songs. You gave me some hope. Thanks for the information. I'm going to start with " Susie Q "
Learning to loop well is the single best thing a guitarist can do to improve thier timing and playing in general, outside of actually gigging. Looping while gigging will supercharge your progress, but beware: Looping is HARD. I've been doing it for 8 years now, and while my profciency has grown immensely, it's always a high-wire act. Tommy Emmanuel, one of the greatest acoustic players of all times says the same thing. "You never know what's going to happen" playing live with a looper. A looper won't cover for you the way a good band will when you make a mistake. It doesn't care about your feelings. It just plays back exactly what you play into it. If you are going to perform, get a looper with a dedicated "STOP" botton, or you'll be in double tap hell trying to stop the thing on the beat. The need for precise timing and its absolute sonic fidelity are it's greatest strengths as a teaching tool, and it's most dangerous flaws as an accompaniest when gigging. You've been warned. ;-)
Great job on simplifying this. I've had an RC 20 for years gathering dust because I could never get the hang of it. I think its time to visit the gear closet😁👍 Thank you for sharing
That's a great easy lesson for beginners. I've been using my looper for a few years on and off and I just learned a few things myself. That's great man we keep on keepin on
Hey Franco. West Coast Italian here! I got East coast Italian relatives that tawhhk just like you! Man you sound like family bro! Accents aside, our brotherhood further includes that of the Worldwide Guitar Addicts. (I just made that up) Anyway, I wish you lived out here in California so we could get together for some lasagna and chianti and geek out over all things guitar and gear etc. Anyway, I have been avoiding loopers for fear of yet another steep learning curve - BUT - your very amicable, funny, approachable, SIMPLE instructions have me all excited about going for it! (But first, my morning cappuccino, of course.) I'm so glad I came across this video! I am subscribed as of right now, I gave you a like, and I can't hardly wait to continue learning things from you. And mind you, I am 66 and have been playing since I was 7 years old. Old dogs DEFINITELY can still learn new tricks. Woof!
On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz And the sky with no clouds The heat was hot and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can't remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La la la la la la... After two days in the desert sun My skin began to turn red And after three days in the desert fun I was looking at a river bed And the story it told of a river that flowed Made me sad to think it was dead You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can't remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La la la la la la... After nine days I let the horse run free 'Cause the desert had turned to sea There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The ocean is a desert with its life underground And a perfect disguise above Under the cities lies a heart made of ground But the humans will give no love You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert you can't remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La la la la la la...
Oh my! Thank you. I recently was able to get the rhythm down by feel on Horse with No Name after trying to play it for awhile with simpler rhythms. Even so I can't let go enough right now to be able to sing and keep the rhythm feel. The looper will make it so I can pay full attention to singing it.
Wow, I wish I had this video when I first learned to use my looper. I could have made a video this long on all of the mistakes I made. You have undoubtedly saved a lot of players time and frustration. Your song selection was excellent as well. I'll look forward to watching some of your other videos--new subscriber.
Great lesson, I have that pedal and never really used it because I just couldn’t get it right. After watching this I’m stoked about giving it a try again. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this.
New subscriber right here. i really like your no nonsense but lighthearted style. I've only just started performing for older people in aged care homes and community centres. It's interesting how older people are a lot younger in their musical tastes than you'd think they'd be. But when you consider that surviving members of the Beatles and Rolling Stones for example are in their 80s now, it's a more fun time than ever to be doing this sort of work. I'm enjoying your videos a lot. Very inspiring.
Great video Frank! I’d love for you to do more videos of songs you’ve found to be great for looping in live gigs. This is an area I’m trying to really grow. Thanks!
Just what I was looking for! I have a Legato looper that was Very inexpensive because I just wanted to learn. Then, I couldn't grab onto it, just had no feel for it. But, this video has inspired me to try again! Thanks!
Tried this out today w my Boss Loop Station RC-5 and was finally able to get the timing right. Thanks a ton. People like you who share these kinds of tips are so helpful. Thanks again. You made an impact.
This was brilliant. thank you so much. I'm going to ask Santa for a looper for Christmas. 😁 I was a bit bothered they were too complicated for me but this was explained so clearly that I'm totally inspired now. I can play all those songs too so they will be my starting point. Thanks so much from sunny (yes!) England. Off to look at your channel now. 😆😆🎸🎸
Just purchased a loop pedal with the added feature of sync. I will be using this pedal as a recording tool for my synthesizers. Years ago I owned a synth with a built in phrase looper, worked great but took up to much room in my studio, so I traded it for desk top synth. Phrase looping, an old idea, with a new slant, perhaps. Laying down tracks can be a time consuming process for an electronic musician.. bar/beat/tick. Are loopers a beneficial tool for a musician, absolutely!
I wish you the best at implementing the new pedal i to your rig/workflow/process. Whatever keeps that passion and creativity going is always the right move
@@FrankPersico Couldn't agree more Frank. I have tons of sequences I have made over the last twenty years, and having a looper pedal will help me put my ideas down for recording. All the best my friend!
Hello Frank, I haven't played with the looper for a long time. I stumbled across your video while looking for new ideas. Totally great. Practice material for the next few days. Thanks for that. Best regards from the Cigar Box Guitar player Uli
Super thanks, Frank! Can't wait to get a looper and try some harmony leads like on The Boys Are Back in Town, or Still the One, or Revival. Should be a super fun challenge!
Love the video and 3 great song suggestions. I use a boss rc1. You can add a separate footswitch to get one click start stop and undo. Built the switch using 2 switches and a box for about £10. The single click makes life much easier.
This is excellent. Thank you. I have a RC-1 and my biggest problem is just getting the timing down on starting/ stopping the loop. ( the circle of lights confuse me..!😂) I guess that will just come with practice. Question, do you notice a drop in volume when using a loop? It’s not so much in my acoustics, but in the electrics I noticed it. Thanks again brother..! Keep um coming !🤘
Thanks so much. I appreciate the positive feedback(sometimes UA-cam feedback is brutal;);) yes practicing to time those in and out points to synchronize with your playing is the key. And when you are live it seems to be even harder because of nerves probably. But I certainly can do it. I have noticed that there is a slight drop in volume. I always wondered if it is actually true or just seems like that since we have stopped playing… 🤔
Die Option, eine Aufnahme zu löschen und wieder einzufügen, als Gestaltungselement zu nutzen, ist super. Danke für diesen Tipp. Toll erklärt. Ich nutze auch den Ditto Looper
Nice work Frank - I’ve played for decades, started looping just a few years ago after buying a Ditto Jam. I had owned a much fancier looping pedal but it was too much tech, I couldn’t figure it out, and this made me set it aside after some frustration. Maybe you can talk about looping phrases that don’t necessarily start or end on the downbeat of the one?
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the super thanks!!

Thanks for this more "basic" introduction to looping... although I'm sure it will still be a great challenge for me, but the way you have presented this lesson gives me confidence to jump in....
You can do it!
Rock on! Thanks for the kind words! I have a looping playlist that you may find interesting and will add more vids as often as I can!
Loved this video! You are a very good teacher, sir! The presentation was simple and easy, and not at all scary! I have suddenly renewed interest in picking up my guitar again, and trying this! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Good demo on looper pedal, I’ll be looking into getting 1 but l want to continue during research on looper pedals, really cool to be able to play without having a band to play with etc. Thanks
They are great. 👍 best of luck in your search
I really appreciate you Frank,
I love all your videos and enjoy them very much. You are making a difference in people’s lives! keep up the great work! 😎👍🎸
Dude. I greatly appreciate the kind words. You can deff learn to Travis pick. I will make some vids about it in the near future. Slow and steady. Enjoy!
@@FrankPersicoI appreciate everything you do my friend! 😎👍🎸
Trade you an RC3 & a few bucks for it
@@psivil.disobedience I appreciate it, but I just need to discipline myself and learn how to use it!
😎👍🎸
I bought the same Ditto pedal a year ago but haven’t been motivated to use it because I thought it was going to be complicated/frustrating. Your video was exactly what i needed, thanks. Super easy to understand and I loved the little bits of humor. Going to try Wish You Were Here with it for the intro where there are 2 guitar parts.
You can do it!
Very clever choice of songs for a very good lesson on looping - great job.
Thanks so much
As a beginner to looping.. This video is really good.. Top tuition from this guy 😎😎😎
Thanks so much. New loop vid coming tomorrow July 4 at 8:15 AM EST. This one will focus more on looping single note riffs and is a review.
That’s awesome. Congrats on the D-18. Can’t go wrong with one of those ever. Welcome to the channel
Cheers mate, and thank you from 🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing!
This is soo great!!!!
I got myself exactly the same looper a few days ago, just what i was looking for...
Thank you so much!!!
Awesome! I wish you the best with it!
Thanks. You explained the use of the loop pedal in a concise way. I have one somewhere that I bought and never used, I think mainly because I was applying it to songs that were just too complicated.
Start simple and before long you will be using it for more and more elaborate arrangements
Recent subscriber…great content on your channel! Clear, concise, funny, informative and engaging. Thank you.
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much
Simple and highly efficient instructions here, thank you for sharing Frank !
My pleasure. Hope you got something good out of it
Endlich habe ich begriffen wozu ein Looper gut ist. Danke!

Indeed!
Playing guitar for years, I bought my first electric guitar about 6 years ago.
I've never used any pedal yet, but a looper is really something which I could like... love?... become addicted to!!
Thank you for this awesome presentation.
I've subscribed (and gave you a thumb).
🥰
Thanks so much and welcome. Stay inspired!! :)
Great lesson-thanks! I wish I seen this YEARS ago. Looping and backing tracks have progressed me TREMENDOUSLY over the years past year more than anything!!
Thanks for the comment! I wish I had made the vid years ago too lolol
THANK YOU so much for this tutorial on looping! I’m fairly new at playing in the grand scheme but ready to start stepping out into the waters of looping, so this was very helpful ❤
Glad it was helpful! Best of luck and check back to let me know how it goes!!
Thanks Bought a ditto on CL... now I get it. Gotta plug it in
Congrats!! You will enjoy it I’m sure
I’ve had this looper for years but never really got on with looping. This video was great and has me reaching for the looper again.
Great to hear!
thank you. playing acoustic for years. 73 years old. Looping ? what? i thought. BS !.....never heard of it. Im gonna try thank you
Definitely give it a shot. It is also a great practice tool. You can record changes and solo
I am 74 and I am going to buy one!
My dad just turned 77. I got him a looper for his birthday. 😋
Frank 😊. Thanks so much for the lesson. I bought a ditto looper last year but not time to work with it. Your video has inspired me to dive into it.
Love hearing this!!! All the best to you
Thank you so very much, I am an Old newbie to playing guitar. I learned 4 years ago at age 54 and love it! I have a lot of gear and hope to be playing for friend, family, and seniors and children in hospitals. I want them to enjoy music and feel the healing power of the music that has helped me in many ways and is still part of my healing process!!
I think it’s great that you started! It’s all a function of the effort and life you put towards it. It is NEVER too late to be a great player .
My guy, this is the best looper vid ever. I’ve really struggled with the really complex video and this was just to the point with really useable examples. Ty!!!
Glad to hear it!
I bought one of these years ago and could not understand it so back it went!...ty for explaining this so well! Im going to try again😊
Glad it was helpful! Deff try again:) thanks for commenting
Getting a loop pedal for the holidays. Will be watching this video a lot. Thank you!!
Nice!!! I’m sure you will have plenty of fun with it!
The knowledge and style you deliver is really good . Thank you for your great presentation!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!
From a loop channel - this is brilliant. 👌
Kudos 👏👏👏
Wow thanks so much.
I’ve been playing for 108 years and still haven’t touched a loop pedal. Now, I’m gonna give it a go!
108 yrs??? lol time for a looper
Best beginner looper course I’ve seen. AND, this one is FREE!
Wow, thanks!
I love these videos. Please make as many of these as you feel up to. Very helpful and I’m sharing them with other people to get you more subscribers. 🙏
I appreciate it. I will deff be making more vids like this
You’re a very good presenter. Thanks for taking the time to create this very helpful video.
Glad it was helpful!
Great lesson, exactly what I was looking for. I have a JamMan solo XT together with a SDRUM and the "now what" question comes...
Thanks so much. Lol it’s all up to you what comes next lol
I followed this video and guess what...... I want a looping pedal... And i believe I could use it right out of the box.... Thank you and thank you for your easy way of teaching this to me..... I believe anyone who watches this teaching video can learn it to... You made it easy !!! 😊😊
Dude thanks so much! Good luck looping
Great that you use a brand and type of looper, I've seen before ( never used one though). And great that you showed us how it can be used.. how to do it, and the results you can attain.. I'm off to buy my first looper, knowing I've seen what the one I'm buying can do. Cheers !
Go for it and please let me know your progress
Thanks Frank love your channel as a guitarist who enjoys looping. I have a electro harmonix 720 and I use it for creating loops then soloing over in the absence of vocals. I like the fade option of the 720 rather than the straight stop button. Keep those songs suggestions coming - awesome work!
Thanks for commenting and sharing w us. I will try my best to keep good material flowing
Im an ex club and pub entertainer in the UK I am 72 still play and sing at home but miss audiences and I’m getting itchy feet again, your giving me inspiration to get out to an open mic night. Thanks Frank you’re brilliant.
Thanks for the kind words! Hope you do decide to get out there and play again!!
Fun video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I bought a Boss loop pedal some time back and had fun playing with it when I first got it, but never really embraced it. I think it's time to get it out again and give these songs a try. The first two are in my wheel house, so I'll give it a try with those and see how it works out.
Definitely give it a try and let us know how it goes!!
Thanks for the post and welcome to the channel.
I'm glad I found your video. I'm new to looping. There are songs out there I want to play, but I can't play three guitars at one time, so I don't even learn those songs. You gave me some hope. Thanks for the information. I'm going to start with " Susie Q "
Awesome. I’m glad you found it too:) hope to have you as a subscriber :) all the best
Thanks for the inspiration! I have had a looper for years that I have not used, but I am going to now!
Go for it!! Let us know how you make out.
Learning to loop well is the single best thing a guitarist can do to improve thier timing and playing in general, outside of actually gigging. Looping while gigging will supercharge your progress, but beware:
Looping is HARD.
You've been warned. ;-)
Love this comment. Couldn’t have been said any better…
ha ha great idea!
Great job on simplifying this. I've had an RC 20 for years gathering dust because I could never get the hang of it. I think its time to visit the gear closet😁👍 Thank you for sharing
Deff bust it out. Look at it as just a fun game and not a daunting task ;)
That's a great easy lesson for beginners. I've been using my looper for a few years on and off and I just learned a few things myself. That's great man we keep on keepin on
Much appreciated
Woof!
Hi there thanks for reaching out and subscribing Pisano;)… definitely mess with the loop pedal.. it’s a lot of fun. Keep in touch!
On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
And after three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
After nine days I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
Hahaha thanks for the transcript
Their 5 minute album version of "Sandman" may be their best of all.
Oh my! Thank you. I recently was able to get the rhythm down by feel on Horse with No Name after trying to play it for awhile with simpler rhythms. Even so I can't let go enough right now to be able to sing and keep the rhythm feel. The looper will make it so I can pay full attention to singing it.
That’s great. I may do a video soon on rhythm and strumming feel
Wow, I wish I had this video when I first learned to use my looper. I could have made a video this long on all of the mistakes I made. You have undoubtedly saved a lot of players time and frustration. Your song selection was excellent as well. I'll look forward to watching some of your other videos--new subscriber.
Thanks so much. Comments like this make it all worthwhile for me. Welcome to the channel
Great lesson, I have that pedal and never really used it because I just couldn’t get it right. After watching this I’m stoked about giving it a try again. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this.
Happy to help!
Thanks so much. It’s definitely scary how the old people don’t seem that old to me anymore lol
Im a novice (57) who has only just mastered the caged system. 😂😂😂😂 This video is so informative even I can understand it. Thank you so much fella. 😊😊
Wow congrats to you. Caged is a great system. Feel free to reach out with any theory or guit questions if I can help I will
Great video Frank! I’d love for you to do more videos of songs you’ve found to be great for looping in live gigs. This is an area I’m trying to really grow. Thanks!
Great suggestion! I will
Just what I was looking for! I have a Legato looper that was Very inexpensive because I just wanted to learn. Then, I couldn't grab onto it, just had no feel for it. But, this video has inspired me to try again! Thanks!
Great to hear! Go for it
Finally purchased one, been on my shelf for a few weeks, think I shall hook it up today , before I was just imagining playing with myself but now ,😮
Have fun! Hook it up
Having just bought my first loop pedal, your video was great and timely 👍
Great to hear!
I have a similar looper and this answered some questions. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. This is so simple but helped me. Gonna play w the looper pedal again.
I’m happy to hear that! Wish you the best in your playing

Great video. I'd always been intimidated by loopers, now I'm having fun. Thanks!
You can do it! Enjoy
Glad it was helpful! Definitely get one! It will inspire you:)
I love the content. Never worked with a looper, but I am considering it. If nothing else, it may help me get involved with more lead guitar.
For sure. It’s with looking Into. There are some links in the description the the ditto pedals I recommend . Wish u the best and thanks for commenting
Hello Frank,
I haven't played with the looper for a long time. I stumbled across your video while looking for new ideas.
Totally great. Practice material for the next few days. Thanks for that.

@@FrankPersico had completely forgotten how much fun the looper can be. Thank you very much for your ideas.

That’s a great idea. Good luck!
Wow! This was a super fun video for a newbie looper like myself! Looking forward to more of your videos. 🙂
Awesome. Welcome to the channel
A good basic introduction - easy to follow.
👍👍🙏
Love the video and 3 great song suggestions. I use a boss rc1. You can add a separate footswitch to get one click start stop and undo. Built the switch using 2 switches and a box for about £10. The single click makes life much easier.
Thanks for the tip! Great idea
My looping skills have been sub par. I want to thank you for this amazing tutorial on looping.
Thanks so much. Comments like this keep me inspired !
Great video. Ive been struggling w my ditto looper. Thank you!
Thanks so much.
Thanks for the comment. Enjoy
Thank you Frank. Great channel, awesome work especially it's what you love and enjoy doing.

Glad I could help!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 been looking for this kind of video for months!
Glad it was helpful!
That’s a great idea. I will try to find some examples to make a vid about . If you have any let me know
