I’ve debated getting one of these for so long. I’m not sure what’s holding me back…I’m tempted to spend more for the electric blue SMP 300 quartz 36mm, but these are so similar for a better price…thank you for the really informative videos on these underrated neo vintage watches!
Fantastic knowledge and advice in this video! I have the JDM 2501.83 with the 6,9,12 Arabic numerals and love its classic proportions, and its dress-watch appeal. BTW, love the channel and I've been following for a while, so thanks for the great content. I've actually acquired a few Omegas after watching and researching through your videos so thanks again.
Thanks so much for the comment. The 2501.83 is a particularly beautiful and rare one. These watches manage to strike a nice balance in every way; being on the small side but having good wrist presence, and being suitable as a dress watch while being robustly built and very water resistant.
@@omegawatchfan - Thanks, and I got lucky acquiring the 2501.83. I'm sure there's another 120m left in me as they're a great unisex option - maybe one for the wife too.
@@RalphBejar The serial number should be engraved on one of the lugs but you’ll probably need a loupe or something to magnify the numbers as they’re tiny and hard to read.
That is a beautiful watch. I used to have the 2518.80 (blue 36mm Aqua Terra quartz). As much as I love the 120m, I feel the Aqua Terra design is cleaner and much more timeless (this goes for the dial, case and bracelet), so I wouldn't regret buying it. I think the "timelessness" also explains why we see much greater demand for Aqua Terras in comparison with the 120m today.
@@omegawatchfan and discontinued. I really dont get people missing out on this watch. It is build like a tank. I had it serviced and polished back to look straight out of the Omega factory. And it is my for life watch. I dont wear my " journey watches" anymore. I reached my final watch...with exception of a Rolex Explorer 1. It will be my Dynamic Duo.
Great video! Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!

I just pulled the trigger on one near mint for 1k. It was a steal! My first😊

Im buying one soon. Where do you see the serial number for the 2501.83?

I went with a 2504.50 but maybe this would have been better bang for the buck!

Easy the best watch under a 1000 euro. Put a nice Staib mesh on it and you get an awesome watch.
They truly are fantastic quality for the price, and even more impressive given they have been around for about 30 years.

Fantastic GADA.
