      I would recommend asking your trainer specific questions. Most of the time tacking up is usually covered immediately. If your needs aren't being met it's not selfish to find a trainer who will show you what you need to learn.

    Thanks for the video! I've seen a few videos where the position of the saddle doesn't get covered at all, and that's what I struggled with the most (I still do sometimes). I tend to put the saddle a little too far back. I wish my instructor was more patient with me.

    I was involved in a mountain bike race which resulted in an accident in May 2018, I suffered severe brain trauma. Fortunately I have recovered really well and we have moved on to acreage enabling me to at long last get my own horse. I have a great husband who has had a round yard put in which has all the correct foundations with the correct products making it look really professional! I am truly spoilt. Having brain trauma for me has meant I have memory loss in some areas. Your video has been a great help . It's not that I was saddening my girl up incorrectly , but your video showed me I was doing it correctly. Thanks:) Your teaching along with other brilliant trainers are a huge help for me.

    • @JSHorsemanship
      @JSHorsemanship  3 роки тому +2

      Some horse will react to the girth being too tight while others will not. It all depends on the horse. I like to check my girth at my horse’s sternum and make sure I can fit 2 to 3 fingers under it.

      I cinch up the girth on the same hole on both sides if possible:) Or as close to it as I can get in order to keep the pressure even .
