Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Great info! I want to get one to watch my grandkids play sports:) Also, it would be great when doing home auto repair work or any work in the garage or shed:)
Great video. But I have one important question. When the charger is completely full/charged, What color is it? Is it a solid red because I've been charging my battery for 10 hours and it's still a solid red. I've heard people say it should be green if that's the case after 10 hours, I'm not sure why it is not green. So again. My question is when it is fully charged what color is the indicator supposed to be? Thanks
It should be solid green when fully charged but shouldn’t need more than 8 hours of charging. You may have a bad battery if it doesn’t run your cooler.
@ChadAlanJones Hey, thanks for responding NEW SUB. F.YI, I contacted icy breeze and believe it. or not for whatever reason with the new batteries & chargers, they do not turn green anymore, so a solid red indicates a full charge
We just bought one! My husband loves it out on the back porch. Now we probably aren’t using it like other people are. Most people are just using it at the beach or a ball game or something. We got it for the back porch where my husband likes to sit and smoke cigarettes (he was constantly smoking in the car to stay cool.) The only con I’m seeing right now is having to disconnect the wall plug every time we aren’t using it to avoid long term exposure to the heat which would be several times a day as my husband is going in and out of the house to smoke… Anyone have any ideas?
I just got mine two days ago and I modified it so now my air temp goes into the negatives -10 degrees Fahrenheit but next I’ll be upgrading the fan to get a stronger air flow because the factory fan isn’t very powerful and the factory water pump is very weak compared to my upgrade. The circuit board is not very advanced so I’m not even worried about a warranty as I can make all the electronics anyway.
@@ChadAlanJones well the mods will void your warranty but for the price they charge this cooler should come with better parts because it’s literally a CPU fan with a radiator and a small submerged water pump. The cool thing they don’t mention is you can make it into a heater if you use a usb water heating element or just use hot water but I made my own air cooler before I bought this one
@E85_STI what mod did you make to have the temps in the negative? i'm thinking about modding my rig as well. i'm thniking of adding peltier to chill the water so i don't have to buy ice.
@@honeybadger305 well it might have been a fluke as I was using a laser thermometer and it read that but yeah it would be too cold for the unit. Now I’m not sure why it dropped that low on the display but maybe it didn’t know how to read a low temp.
I use it in my small bedroom. I freeze a couple of gallon zip bags to make ice fill th water to the line, and it keeps the room cool. You can go a long time , but you should occasionally add more ice. It really cuts down on the a/c electricity.
Did you have to buy any extras (batteries, charger etc.) And what about the noise? I deliver mail in a 2005 right hand drive jeep wrangler and I'm really thinking on getting one to have with me while delivering mail on this over 100 degrees weather here in California, tya.
i was thinking the same thing. Why would they make it in black? Cool test would be a black one vs a more suitable color. Common knowledge is that black aborbs the heat / light more than any other color so I would make an educated hypothesis that a non black color would keep ice even longer
@@ChadAlanJones Looking to get one of these mainly for power outages especially in hurricane season. I have a generator to run my freezer so ice blocks and ice are not an issue. Do you think this would serve the purpose (
@@jasonrodriguez463 if you are wanting to cool your home during power outages then I would get an actual portable ac unit but if you are just needing to keep yourself cool then it would work fine.
I just bought an ultimate in white. Personally, I’m not sure why they offer it in black. Makes zero sense to have a cooler in a color that attracts heat.
I jus wonder why they wouldn't make it like all the other Refrigerator/freezer ice chest type refrigerators that use a battery🤔 why even buy ice when it can clearly be made like a freezer 🤔 they need 2 redesign so it can work as a freezer so u dont need 2 constantly buy ice &be able 2 charge battery with solarpanels, then it would perfect Lil ac unit

That thing is junk. You need to save up a little bit more. An get the ZeroBreeze AC. This thing isn’t an AC in the least bit an in really hot places. It will eat through that ice. The ZeroBreeze actually is battery power or 110v. But has a true compressor an refrigerant with an condenser an evaporator. That removes moisture an is about 25 pounds. With a removable outlet an intake an exhaust which could be used or not needed. No ice none of that mess an half the size. Colder drier air. All around way better.
And where do you put your drinks while you’re at the summer track meet? The icy breeze has its place and it’s not junk. It keeps his drinks cold charges his kids phones and provides some cool comfort while cheering his kids on. If you don’t like it that’s fine but starting off with it’s junk is just insulting.
This idea was stolen from the poor people. I seen this idea 8 years ago. Poor people didn't have the financial backing or the circle of people who could have pushed the idea. Smh
I have never seen anyone use a heat exchanger. I think you are mistakenly thinking this is just a plain swamp ice cooler it’s not. Stop hating on people that hustle to make things happen always someone hating on the well doing of others
I bought one. Not worth the money. You have to be within 6 inches of the end of the hose to feel it. So basically in your face. And on high, it's NOT quiet. When it's not running, it doesn't keep ice for more than a few hours. Don't let them tell you it's a good as a yeti. It's not even close.
It matters not if it works good or not if the company that produces it SUCKS! After admitting to their screw up, they took no responsibility. The greed of money I guess

Yes but keep in mind it needs ice to stay cool.
