    Just got my ultimate. Best results are 2” of ice cold water , Ozark Mountain -2 ice packs, 20lb bag of ice unbroken and left in the bag. One of the best things about the ultimate is the vent plug. Before use it keeps hot air out. In transportation it keeps water in.

    I could hear you just fine, and people don't need to spend a ton of money on fancy microphones and sound gear.

      An aluminet is reflective metalized knitted screen. We put it on our cars at trials to help reflect the sun and keep the cars cooler.

    So it was 91° outdoors. What was the temperature for the 2 hours you had it running in the car?

    You could freeze big blocks of ice also that won’t melt as quickly

    • @TheButlerK9s

      Yes as long as you still have water in the cooler. On the extreme cooling setting, you need water running up through the hoses to create the extra cold air. This is why their ice packs don't create as cold of air as bag ice does.

      Yes, to extend your ice life, I definitely recommend big blocks of ice using tupperware-type containers as a mold, and then fill the gaps with bag type ice. Also, in her application I would recommend what I call "contained" ice, either in IcyBlocks that IcyBreeze sells, or containers like empty milk gallons filled with water --- and then topped off with regular ice. By being "contained" it allows you to add salt, which makes them colder and last longer, plus it controls the sloshing of water in a moving vehicle.

    Have you ever tried filling it up with ice from the ice machine that is in your refrigerator? I am wondering how long with it last per use compared to the store bought ice bags.

      This was my first time using it so I'm not sure. It would take forever for my fridge to make 30 lbs of ice haha

      Ice cubes because of the dead space in between will melt fast. You want a compacted ice block. I freeze water in a huge Rubbermaid Tupperware from Walmart. It lasts la heck of a lot longer. more than 10 hours and a 3rd if the iceblock was still not melted .I also 2 use yeti ice blocks with the ice block. I had the icy breeze a year now and had to use it starting last night to save on energy. It's near 100 degrees in Southern California. Just don't have high expectations of cooling a whole house. It works great in a small room and definitely spot cooling.

    How cold was the air coming out

      @TheButlerK9s  Рік тому

      I don't have an exact temperature, but it was pretty cold when it was set on extreme cooling. When not on extreme cooling, the air was not nearly as cool. This video was also filmed on an extremely hot day.

    Cool but it's just a fancy swamp cooler

    • @bhop8465
      @bhop8465 Рік тому +3

      No it's not at all a swamp cooler

    • @TheButlerK9s
      @TheButlerK9s  Рік тому

      The main advantage an IcyBreeze offers is that the air is being cooled with a heat exchanger, meaning that cold air coming out of the hose is dry. So while swamp coolers are similar in concept, they are constantly adding humidity to the air by pulling the air through a wet surface. The IcyBreeze is actually lowering the humidity in the air because the dry air is lowering the ratio of water vapor in the air.

    • @nmr6988

      Did you even watch anything about this cooler? It does not put humidity into the air. It's really incredibly brilliant and so well engineered. I use it in my camper van and there's not even a tiny bead of water on the walls.
