That hitbox would annoy me to bits... But other than that it looks like a very fun game especially for a group. I've actually never played any title of this series. Shocking knowing how big it is. Great video as always.
To be fair I only started with OMD3 but I had a blast. The hitboxes were a little frustrating but I think playing co-op would help fix that since I don't have to be everywhere all the time
I never played any of this games, I'm not too much into the artstyle but it's something that can be compensated by the gameplay. Yeah currencies can be a huge problem for balancing, both for newcomers that Needs a loooot of time to unlock stuff and experienced players that don't have nothing more to unlock. Great video, +1 as always to talk also about downsides, even if minor.
Thanks :). I always try to be fair in my approach to how I see games because there's always room to improve games, but for what it is OMDD is definitely an overall fun time. I would just say to play with friends and have fun and maybe you won't notice how grindy it gets regarding the unlocks
Just a small bit of feedback, Overall good stuff but I would expand your reviews a bit. Show off some of the new traps, show off a couple of seconds without commentary to show the feel better and be able to listen to the music track. What do you mean by limited barricades? The review also felt overly positive and I dislike those that are overly negative, this felt a little too far in the other direction. Good stuff, I would expand on stuff a little more.
I appreciate the feedback. I normally do reviews on demos of upcoming games and they are usually not as high profile so I tried to approach this one in a different manner. I could do a better job clarifying that you get something like 12 barricades to use and I feel like I usually do better with showcasing things and allowing it to breathe a bit more. I think I was just under a time crunch with this one and rushed a bit, but I will keep trying to improve. I try to call it as I see it with my reviews, and I did have an overall fun time playing but I could've done things differently to showcase what I genuinely think is a 7/10 game.
I will say that I really enjoyed the third a lot, but it ended before I was really ready for it all to end. I get the idea of wanting to have that roguelite experience to increase the replayability of it all, but I do think this one needs multiplayer to really be fun. I think that could be said with all of their games, but this one in particular felt like I felt the burden of doing it all.

It really is a great series and somehow they keep improving on the series in new ways while keeping true to what makes it so fun

Probably better off sticking to the older entries of the franchise
