Thank you Joe, your episodes help me relax after a stressful day. I’m a 100% disabled veteran from the 2nd Iraq war, 2003-2005. Your channel is one of the best things on youtube, you and the Venture Bros were the best things on adult swim. I hope you have an amazing 4th!
ill never stop being upset about the show. these keep me floating. i feel like the house lights are on all the time, the dream is done but im still there. glad youre here, too, joe. it helps a lot. thank you so much for continuing to make your art
I agree on his show. I couldn’t make any sense of it, as it seemed (to me) to be the most artistic and emotionally moving thing I had ever seen on adult swim, then I checked the ratings, apparently people don’t care about wholesome understated and cleverly clean comedy as much as we do. From a business perspective, I understood why Adult Swim dropped it. I think they could pop in another holiday special to let Joe finish the story of he, Sarah, and the land he bought. “Joe Pera builds a cabin with you” or something like that. Let him bring all those great characters together again and button it up properly.
I love that these are once a month because that’s about how long it takes me to listen to an episode and finally get through the whole thing without fully falling asleep.
Hey Joe. I know you probably have a higher chance of reading this once the next episode releases in half a week, but I wanted to let you know how much this show helped me today. I moved out of my folks’ place a few weeks ago, and the physical and mental toll have been bad. I’ve started having panic attacks again, and it’s sometimes hard to leave the apartment without getting really nervous. So twice today, even though I wasn’t sleeping, I turned this show on, and I listened to it on my car ride to help calm me down. So now I’m back home in bed, enjoying a chili dog at 3 AM with this on. So yeah. Thank you, Joe. I can’t wait for this Sunday.
I just hit play but thank you. It's all been so hard. I can barely live, and don't have a friend; this is the closest thing for me. What stories would this gentle soul tell us this time?. Now that's real "hype" for me. Thank you.
Going through a rough patch in my life that’s lasted a long time and I’m losing hope, I’m tired in the worst way, I’m getting kicked out by family from where I live rn and hardly no time my mental healths never been worse but I’ve never been the type to cry or tell anyone so I think when I’m gone people won’t know why and I’m not sure if they’ll even want answers but I just can’t sleep can’t eat and can’t go on thank you joe for helping me to sleep calm and faster for a little longer
I love Joe Pera. H'es like a nice old Uncle who never talks down to you. You'll always be nine or ten years old and helps you along filled with wisdom and kindness and comfort.
Hey Joe, I'm so glad that you're still keeping at it and making wonderful content. Your conversation with Peter about finding bits of clarity while being dead tired reminded me of a book a read called The Courage to Create by Rollo May. If you or anyone else reading this is a fan of books, it goes into why it is that we find eureka moments like that. Hope all is well with you.
This is my new favorite series to listen to in order to fall asleep. This series has seriously helped me fall asleep a lot easier than any other guided meditations or sleep stories. Thank you, Joe. For this.
You'll never believe it, but this upload schedule syncs perfectly with my sporadic sleep schedule. When I close my eyes is when I can see them is the problem
I was quite drawn in by the "Me in the future" type story, and as I got ready to sit up and change the vid you said "have a nice July." What a fun coincidnce to have watched this video in July.
I used to do that FDR drive. I hated the city, but I loved that drive, it was like seeing the giant from a distance, the river contrast the miles of passing buildings. One of the few places in the city you could see the sky.
Hey this is gonna sound really out of pocket and I don't think anyone will read this and that it's a comedy but truly thank you. These videos literally saved my life. In my life, my parents encourage me to kill myself and I genuinely don't have many people to turn to, so these videos almost makes me feel my life isn't all hopeless. It's kinda strange but these videos make me feel a weird sense of peace I rarely if ever get. So thank you joe pera, and this wonderful community. If it wasn't for you I would have been dead by now.
Still want to see you as the new James Bond who lives in Philadelphia, eats Boar Head lunch sandwiches, watches guitar tutorials on UA-cam, and is afraid of dogs. I'm stoked, Joe!
I feel like Joe's episodes and the topics he talks about always come at the right time for me. I've had a couple of epiphanies this week after feeling burnt out from everything. Glad to know it means new and good things will reveal itself soon. Hope you have a good July, Joe! See you next month.
I’ve been listening to this nearly every night since it came out. I still don’t know what the second half of the episode is about. Thanks Joe and team for helping us sleep
So glad to hear Joe is getting to do a voice role in a movie. I liked him as the notary in the Bob’s Burgers episode. I think his style lends itself well to such work.
I really like the dirft off series..btw if u could do another with a long relaxing audio ending like the soup episode thatd be really great. Its really great even if ya dont tho. Thx
I immediately subscribed to your channel thank you for doing this this is an awesome relaxing and sleep inducing audio. I really appreciate what you do Mr Pers
I thought this was a great thing to listen to at work. Until it ended. Now i feel like I've reached the end of a long journey, but i can't rest because I still have 2 and a half hours of work left. 😭
Do this for 10 years, one topic a month. That's only 124 topics to talk about within 10 years. That's hardly nothing. Joe rogan has done over 1500 episodes over 2 hours long. You can do 124 episodes 20 mins long on average. 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤ I Believe in you Joe! You bring so much light to our lives
It's weird that I used to do the same thing. I used to listen to tons of classical and movie soundtracks before going to school or when traveling by car. My phone was so crummy and I didn't have any headphones or earbuds so I would put my phone against my ear with the volume almost on mute. I eventually did get Headphones and that's when it really transformed my listening experience which helped me prepare for a day of school.
I listened to this 3 times and i had a goodnight sleep for 3 days straight. Today’s the 4th and im texting at 3:28am questioning whether he talked about submarines and stuffs after OceanGate incident happened like wtf 💀💀
Joe i dont know if ive posted this on another episode before . But MONTHS ago now (even though i still remember the pain like its happening right now) I was in the hospital with a kidney infection...- i literally could not go to sleep - they tried so many drugs and literally nothing worked . I dont know if it was just a coincidence but when i turned on an episode of this , i dont remember what happened next - Either all the drugs they had given me hit at once . Or Joe really is all i needed 😂
This is even better than harmonizing with my boys
😊
Nice.
But not cubes for my boys

@@Dontlistentomesilly That's what I was thinking. We should feel special 😊

Thank you for your service 🇺🇸
Thank you for your service🇺🇲
Tom Goes to the Mayor and Million Dollar Extreme as well
Thank you for your service.
This is pretty good. Not quite up to my favorite comfort movie, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" good - but pretty darn good.
This is the only pure thing left in my life.
Drifting Off with Joe Perra is at the intersection of ASMR, Podcasting, Comedy, and Spoken Word. It's an ASMR, Spoken Word, Comedy Podcast.
I'm a simple man when it comes to Joe Pera. I see a new video, I click on it.
Goodnight everyone

Same. The full playlist is my go-to, always starts with the newest episode.

😢things change. I keep that in mind when things get horrible.
I'm so sorry 😟I wish you the best in life.🌺🌸
Just what I need at the end of my day! I listen once to sleep and then once again to actually listen LOL

I listen to this every time I’m having a panic attack. You really help! Thanks!
Still can't believe my man Joe Pera was in Peter Sohn's Elemental. What a lovely pair
Joe Pera is a gift and he must be protected at all costs
Thanks Joe!
All the problems from this awful summer and day drifting away every word at a time
Very Euphoric

Super excited for the standup special, Joe!
Oh I’m so glad the Hobbit joke is still going
So glad to hear Joe is getting to do a voice role in a movie. I liked him as the notary in the Bob’s Burgers episode. I think his style lends itself well to such work.
Third time trying to listen to this all the way through without falling asleep so fast I have no ideas what happens
Loved the character in Elemental (: was such a cool surprise. 😊

You are my favorite!!! Please keep doing what you do ❤
THANK YOU JOE!! NEW EPISODES ARE SO GREATLY APPRECIATED !!
Instead of beer, maybe try a "warm apple" night. And maybe make a song up about it during the preparation. Classic move...
The episode of Townsend's you were in was my absolute favorite. I miss your show i think you and Jo Firestone make a great team
9:48 I can attest about that specific drive. I’ve down it countless times. It’s transcendent, as late night car drives go.
It's gonna be a good sleep tonight :)
hope the 2 soldout shirts restock on the site soon, love ur content man
I immediately subscribed to your channel thank you for doing this this is an awesome relaxing and sleep inducing audio. I really appreciate what you do Mr Pers

Adult swim made a huge mistake letting you go!!! I wish your show would come back, I miss all the characters!!!

I would be so happy if one of the Drifting Off episodes was on rain/storms
Hell yeah I needed this
Joe is coming to SLC next month and I’m not missing it for a thing!
Always watch this with my gf. Keep it up joe!
영상 고마워요 조 페라. 어덜트 스윔때부터 많이 봤어요. 거기로 다시 가든 안가든간에 전 응원할게요. ❤❤

Sorry to hear about your trouble sleeping, Joe. I'd recommend listening to a guy named Joe Pera. He makes calming videos.
Love you Joe and I accept your apology for the joke about nuking me in my sleep.
I love you so much man ❤
Love you joe pera you have been so awesome 👌
can anyone tell me if the 8 hour versions arent just the 20 minute video looping over and over?
holy shit the submarine thing was 3 months ago?!
great stuff
That has been making me laugh, too, Joe. Very high level critique of capitalism here!
Thank you
