I went to college with this guy. He did stand-up for some open mic event and took us all on a "microphone parade" in which he took the mic and just walked around and outside of the building, the entire time singing "it's a microphoooone paraaaade". Definitely one of the most memorable acts I've seen. Happy to see he's doing well!

yes! it's hard to do that on such "loud" programming. Example: the way Ellen handled ASMR (relaxing videos) on her show. She teased to the point of bullying and the community deservedly shamed her for her on-air mistreatment of something quiet and therapeutic for people. Joe's show is similarly therapeutic, and my respect for Stephen Colbert soared in how he handled the interview!

I just really love him so much. He has such calm yet nervous energy at the same time and it comforts me.

Joe Pera is genius because, even if you don't get his comedy, you can't help but like him because he's so damn wholesome. Also, his Buffalo Bills routine is the funniest sports joke I have ever heard in my life.

I have been watching Joe Pera's old relaxing footage every night for the past 2 months. I couldn't sleep without it. It comes me down, and the world is ok for 22mins.

Joe Pera talks with you was and is such a great show. Colbert was right on the money when he called it beautiful. I'm so sad that it was cancelled. It truly deserved more than 3 seasons. I'm also sad that I only just discovered it this summer right after it was cancelled because while I was happy to have enjoyed all 3 seasons on Netflix, I'm a bit sad that I never got to look forward to a brand new season. I know a lot of other people are just discovering it, so maybe some network will see all the folks that love it and give it another chance. We can only hope.

Stephen is bizarrely a good late night TV show interviewer. Politics have taken control of all of our late night shows now... But I do like these a lot.

Colbert was weirdly doing Pera's act to Pera while he was sitting there. The two of them trying to 'meekly inhabit the space' was creepy and bizarre.

Colbert did Pera's act to his face, it was creepy.

Joe would be a really easy target to dominate or embarrass in an interview like this, but Stephen appears to genuinely get his act and I love that.

It’s so amazing how comedy has made a 180 and now it’s wholesome and family friendly.

I adore Joe Pera! His show was so nice and calming. Sad that it got canceled, but thankful it had a season three. Maybe he will come back with another special to wrap up the storyline.
