That image is so beautiful and organic. People question if the 4k is still worth buying in 2021? I’d be happy with this image 5 years from now, it’s incredible and in the hands of a talented filmmaker it’s even better.
@@PatientZeroBalisong It actually is since you are basing your exposure on that ISO. I explained it in the description. If you shoot at iso 1000 and you go down to 400 in post how you will compensate for all those stops of lights you lost? You can't open your aperture in post so you will need to use the gain that will introduce noise in the image. So ISO does matter, even if it's only metadata.
Matteo Bertoli Visuals sorry about that, I wasn’t trying to be offensive. I’ll edit the comment. I guess I didn’t notice much of the difference in my shots.
@@exhale7873 For beginners, not sure.. If you know your settings then it shouldn't really be a problem, just be aware that you don't have auto-anything while shooting. And you have to either get a lot of small batteries or a large V-loc battery, cus it drains fast! But it definitely is a great camera, the best at that prize point!
Superb. You really know how to get best out of that sensor...highlight, contrast, shadows all in harmony, no blown highlights that would distract, no gimmicky colors or skin tones, overall simply very filmic. A question though: I assumed if you shot a clip or scene in raw or braw, that you would grade from the raw file. If you're grading from a LUT such as the rec709, wouldn't you lose some control of the inherent higher dynamic range from the raw file? Thanks.
pete49327 thanks! Every time you go from log to rec709 you loose some DR. But the Natural Rec709 that we developed preserves the most informations in the highlights and shadows. The only grade I did on this clip was literally applying the LUT and adjust contrast, tint and wb. Nothing else.
Your videos 🔥🔥🔥 I just got a pocket 4k and my videos trash lol it look like I’m shopping on a DSLR I can’t get the cinematic look. Is it because I don’t know how to color grade ?
This is something I can watch all day and not get bored, good camera angles, nice shot selections coupled with great editing and of course the man behind the camera Matteo, this is awesome creativity. I love it. What is the best ISO setting for the different lenses? Since you say, "DO NOT SHOOT 800-1000 ISO". I just purchased the BMPCC 4K not rigged up yet.
@@matteobertoli Matteo Bertoli Visuals You are waaay more experienced than I, but are you sure about your ISO1000 remark? I've had great success with ISO 1000! I don't drop the ISO in post but adjust the exposure instead so that I'm not compensating as you say to bring shadows back up. You have more highlight room at ISO 1000 than any other iso. I expose ETTR and then just bring exposure way down in post in the raw tab. Again, nowhere near as experienced as you but I don't have any noise here...and most of this was shot at 120p, so lots of light needed. Please forgive the purple fringing of my canon 85mm.... ua-cam.com/video/DM47aYi-YuQ/v-deo.html
@@matteobertoli Interesting. I guess the part that caught my attention was that you were changing ISO in post to a lower ISO and then adjusting afterward while I kept the ISO at 1000 and made my corrections with the exposure slider. So you suggest 400-640?
Help please, I'm new to bmpcc 4k, I recorded some HD prores proxy shots. I edited the video in premiere and after rendering the video it looks pixelated and when I upload it to UA-cam it looks even worse and I don't understand why, the original file didn't look like that. I ugly cried watching this...and I enjoyed it hahaaha GREAT FOOTAGE SIR! Your work is my main inspiration to shoot more with my Pocket 4k! Will also hopefully get our LUT soon!
Hello Matteo, would you recommend the BMPCC4K in 2022. I am selling my GH5 and XT4 to purchase 2 Pocket 4K's. I would like to get 2 pocket 6K G2 for my studio but the Japanese Yen has fallen of cliff so even the Pocket 4K is $500.00 dollars more than MSRP. I really enjoyed your live stream.
Sei sempre di ispirazione per molti di noi! la BMPCC4k sarà il prossimo acquisto dopo la gh4. Sono curioso di sapere che tipo di lente hai utilizzato al 0:40 per caso la Laowa 9mm f/2.8 ?
Was this shot on film 24fps mode? Not extended and converted to extended. I'm wondering can you upload 30 seconds footage with a gorilla film grain over 24fps? Thanks
really cool footage, did u use any plugins in post pro to achieve that result? is so would be really cool if you could split screen next time and separate RAW with EDITED VERSION and list filters or gear that was used to achieve this result. Like and subscription!
