It's honestly just brain rot. A lot of reactors get so obsessed with "solving the mysteries of Gravity Falls" they stop paying attention to what the show is directly showing and telling them.
I like that the season one premier pretends it's going to have zombies and then goes "Hah, it's actually just a stack of Gnomes in a costume! Wacky!" while the season two premier has actual, gruesome, corpses-rising-from-the-grave zombies. It's a nice signal that things are going to be more serious this time around.
Trust us, season two of _Gravity Falls_ is going to be one of, if not the best things you'll ever experience! Also, Zombiie Soos being exactly like regular Soos, just also hungry for brains, is absolutely hilarious.
I like how Elijah notices small details such as Stan cleaning the glasses in the carpet episode. But doesn't notice that the cover of the jornals has a six-finger hand lol
This is honestly one of Stan's greatest moments. Sure, he uses the kids for his own personal gain sometimes, takes advantage of them, and is irresponsible in taking care of them, but this scene proves that he loves them unconditionally. Just in the episode before this he denied the existence of magic. Here, he throws all of that away just when the kids need him. He takes off the mask of supposed aloofness he'd been wearing since the kids arrived to save what he really cares about. This proves that he really is not what he seems, but much more than what he first appeared to be. From an ignorant great uncle to a protective and loving guardian. Great character development!!!
"This proves that he really is not what he seems, but much more than what he first appeared to be. From an ignorant great uncle to a protective and loving guardian." I see what you did there. Not gonna be more precise, obviously, but well done ^^
Considering how much she loves Catradora, I don't trust her with shipping. She also ships Taizula, I can't shake the feeling that she's biased towards shipping likable girl characters with toxic and abusive ones.
@@roo1014 it creates an interesting dynamic between the characters, I think that’s why. Characters that bring out the best and worst each other may be toxic, but it’s engaging
Wich makes it even more odd that she doesn't know about the 6 Fingers... It is ON THE BOOK! She's Clever, really clever. That's why this stands out so much
When we first meet Stan, you'd be forgiven for assuming he'll be one of those typical comedic useless cartoon adults. Then, of course, he turns out to be this very memorable, complex/original and undoubtedly badass character. And he STILL gets al the hilarious lines.
I love how the season 1 premiere made us think it was zombies, but actually was gnomes, and the season 2 premiere actually is zombies! also, judging by your comment about the glove, i’m guessing you haven’t noticed, but the hand on the cover of the journals has 6 fingers!
The reason why Stan has that fighting gear is more than likely connected to his back story about his father having him box. We saw it in the episode the kids when into his mind.
Ok, so we're beginning our journey into season 2 of Gravity Falls. This is where the series gets a lot more interesting in terms of overall lore and character growth.
The blacklight thing is even a part of the Journal 3 tie in book. Many hours combing over that book looking for codes, but a lot of fun. I hadn't gotten into the mystery element until after the show ended, I just looked stuff up.
sadly it's not in the general journal 3 book, it's only in a limited edition special blacklight edition of Journal 3... Which is sadly gone and has to be bought from an alternate site like amazon etc. But it's a very expensive collectors item now.
I like how in the beginning she feels so confident and happy she found something out (aka Stan being sus) before the kids….but doesn’t catch the fact that 6 fingered glove kinda is important detail
I'm going to say this right now with barely any spoilers: You are going to LOVE the lore drop that's upcoming for you- As an old Gravity Falls fan, I LOVED the series when I was a kid-
Honest opinion: Taking Over Midnight is an _absolute bop_ that deserves to be at the very top of the charts and is about 94% better than the shit we call music today on the radio. I may or may not sing it in the shower, everyday, all the time 24/7.
Maybe the person with the 6 fingers was a dear friend of Stan's that he lost 30 years ago and could never figure out how to work the machine until the rest of the books resurfaced somehow?
Season 2 amps up the amount of codes and ciphers viewers can solve. So besides the whisper at the front and the code in the end credits there's no images of what looks like pages from the journal with codes on them to try to solve and hidden in each episode there's a keyword....literally there's an image of a key and then letters next to it that you have to decipher to reveal the keyword which helps to solve things. Don't worry if you didn't notice, I didn't whenever I watched the series. I had read fans online talking about it, but hadn't ever bothered to try and look for the keywords, etc. In season 2 my niece even gave up trying to figure out the ciphers in the end credits and we just got really caught up in the story of each episode. I literally watched dozens of reactors on UA-cam watch this show and didn't ever think to lookup what those keywords, etc were in season 2 until I watched Blind Wave's reaction last year to Gravity Falls. The videos were longer, but they showed each of them striving to solve the various ciphers, puzzles, codes, etc in each episode. So thanks to them I now know what they are now, but it's weird how even though I knew they were there and it was a thing all these years that everytime I rewatched it I never bothered to do anything more than the end credit ciphers like my niece. That's a good point that in animation they don't usually animate things in detail if they don't want you to notice. I'll admit that whenever I first watched the series I definitely missed a lot. It's only upon rewatching it later knowing what I knew about all the various mysteries, puzzles, ciphers, etc that I started to pay a little bit more attention........and even then I've missed things! One of the reasons I like watching others react to Gravity Falls is because there's been so many times when reactors notice things in episodes that even all these years later and multiple rewatches of episodes that I missed! While I certainly enjoy watching reactors react to other shows, movies, etc....Gravity Falls is the one where I sometimes actually learn more about the show just via the reactor noticing things (even if they don't yet know what it means). Great reaction! And love the Pop! Figure of Dipper! I didn't even know they made Gravity Falls characters in them! Makes sense since the show is still super popular!
I know this news doesn't fit the video...but it MUST be shared! We finally have a release date for the Owl House finale, people! April 5th Here's hoping Elijah will get her Stringbean plushie for it
The new whisper "Key Vigenére" is a clue to how you'd solve the credits code. Every episode of Season 2 will have a hidden word in the background with a key symbol. Using Vigenére cypher, you're gonna use the word and solve it. Hint for s2 episode 1: Look for Gideon.
