Yes, but also no. Men have a skeletal structure that gives them far more strength and leverage, not to mention more muscle than women are capable of cultivating. If a man and a woman of equal fighting skill get into a fight, the guy is going to win. I remember taking a look at some stats and was shocked that even men who don't work out and sit around all day are stronger than something like 95% of women. It's nature 😕 And yeah, I know this kind of makes me the 'bad guy' bringing this up, but I think this is important information. Too often do I hear stories of women who think that because they're trained in martial arts they can take a man, and choose fight instead of flight in a dangerous situation, and it ends up very poorly. Women have to be realistic about the strength disparity, and always choose fighting as a last resort when dealing with a male opponent. And it's also important for men to know this. While it's not okay for anybody to hit anybody, it's why it's especially bad when a man hits a woman. Because a man is gonna hit *way* harder, whether he means to or not. For a little example of the difference between men and women, professional women's soccer teams train against middle-school boy's teams. And they often lose. I'm not trying to paint some sort of 'men are better than women' picture, because I don't believe that. this episode is one of my favorites of season one. i laughted so much because all the games references of this episode, because i played all of them on my childhood. donkey kong, mario bros, pac man, street fighter, mortal combat. so it was hilarious.
The main storyline stuff is coming (it gets started a bit later in the first season), but a lot of these one-offs are setting up important stuff and characters that play a part in the main storyline.
Actually, my sister once threw me against the door, so yeah .... women can fight people. Also, in middle school, only once did two girls fought one another, but that was pretty vicious. (kicking, hair pulling, pushing, nails, and all). I do not miss these years.
I see your at one of my favorite episodes of the 1st season, especially the ones that aren’t about the plot. Neat! I had quite the phase in looking up and emulating old fighting and beat-em-ups in my teen years. So this episode was quite the fun ride for teen me. I recommend approaching this season in a similar way to Amphibia’s first season. Where there’s a decent amount of one-off and non-plot related episodes. So take your time worrying about the plot a bit. Your speculations are already getting me excited for you to tackle the episodes with some plot.
back in the days of season one airing there was this flash game on the disney xd site (i think) which was picking up the plot thread of the this episode back up by transporting dipper and mable into a video game-ified gravity falls and it was FILLED with secrets and also more meta jokes about video games lol i totally hyperfixated on finding all the secrets and cracking the extra codes in it it was so fun! i think it was called rumbles revenge?
i hope people haven’t hyped gravity falls up too much for you. it’s my favorite show of all time but i'd be lying if i said season 1 wasn’t full of filler. and even saying “oh just wait for the end of the season, that’s where it gets REALLY good” might be overselling it too. cuz it’s better to go into it with mild expectations and be mind-blown by the awesome lore episodes, than to have really high expectations and be let down by them. overall, i hope ur enjoying the series so far :)
I agree. The main point of gravity falls that made it so good wasn't the specific episodes (although they are quite enjoyable to watch anyway) but rather all the codes, secrets, lore, hidden hints to future events, and things like that.
I think there's actually one true filler episode all the other ones really aren't filler episodes they just aren't heavily focused on story but all of them are connected and add to the story that's why it doesn't make them a filler episode

this episode is one of my favorites of season one. i laughted so much because all the games references of this episode, because i played all of them on my childhood. donkey kong, mario bros, pac man, street fighter, mortal combat. so it was hilarious.

The main storyline stuff is coming (it gets started a bit later in the first season), but a lot of these one-offs are setting up important stuff and characters that play a part in the main storyline.

Actually, my sister once threw me against the door, so yeah .... women can fight people. Also, in middle school, only once did two girls fought one another, but that was pretty vicious. (kicking, hair pulling, pushing, nails, and all). I do not miss these years.

I see your at one of my favorite episodes of the 1st season, especially the ones that aren’t about the plot. Neat! I had quite the phase in looking up and emulating old fighting and beat-em-ups in my teen years. So this episode was quite the fun ride for teen me.
I recommend approaching this season in a similar way to Amphibia’s first season. Where there’s a decent amount of one-off and non-plot related episodes. So take your time worrying about the plot a bit.
Your speculations are already getting me excited for you to tackle the episodes with some plot.
The triangle guy comes in Ep 19, so it takes a while, but it’s more than worth it 🤩
back in the days of season one airing there was this flash game on the disney xd site (i think) which was picking up the plot thread of the this episode back up by transporting dipper and mable into a video game-ified gravity falls and it was FILLED with secrets and also more meta jokes about video games lol
i totally hyperfixated on finding all the secrets and cracking the extra codes in it

i hope people haven’t hyped gravity falls up too much for you. it’s my favorite show of all time but i'd be lying if i said season 1 wasn’t full of filler. and even saying “oh just wait for the end of the season, that’s where it gets REALLY good” might be overselling it too. cuz it’s better to go into it with mild expectations and be mind-blown by the awesome lore episodes, than to have really high expectations and be let down by them.
overall, i hope ur enjoying the series so far :)
I agree. The main point of gravity falls that made it so good wasn't the specific episodes (although they are quite enjoyable to watch anyway) but rather all the codes, secrets, lore, hidden hints to future events, and things like that.
I think there's actually one true filler episode all the other ones really aren't filler episodes they just aren't heavily focused on story but all of them are connected and add to the story that's why it doesn't make them a filler episode

I remember playing *Street Fighter* for the first time a couple years ago at an arcade/restaurant called "Crabtowne." And I of course . . . absolutely hated it. I was too young for the game, it was too hard for me, and I couldn't beat anyone!
