    Mark you had the PERFECT 2nd gen in that perfect Army Green 2020 (or 2019?). Now you’re going BACK to it? I’m with Michelle, I don’t understand!?!

      It’s pretty obvious, everyone is jumping ship from their 3rd gen’s. Watch peoples actions, not what they say.

    • @TundraDude34
      @TundraDude34  2 дні тому +17

      I know this is a waste of time to respond, because you are gonna believe what you want, but here is where im at. When the recall came out, the 2nd gen demand went crazy, so on my dealer walks, i would focus on lots that had good 2nd gen options. In all of my research, I found myself wanting seat time again in a 2nd gen, plus some fun ideas i have for it. My channel is Tundra info based, so 3rd gen coverage volume will not change, this will only add content.
      If you think my move is recall based, let me throw this at you. As a content creator, wouldn’t I want a potential issue with a 3rd gen? All the views are in the negative side of things and that would be ad revenue heaven, right?
      So in closing, you don’t have to believe me, this is still America, but I love Tundras, all gens. So if I bounce around, its because of that reason. If i could own a 2nd gen and keep my 3rd gen, i 10000% would, but i dont make the cash flow some of these big youtubers do. Cant afford both. I appreciate you watching, have a good evening!

    Not sure if the safety recall is involved with Marks interest in going back to 2nd Gen, but please everyone watch The Car Care Nut’s latest video on the recall. He made so many good points on why current 3rd Gen owners shouldn’t hastily jump ship.

    • @TundraDude34
      @TundraDude34  2 дні тому +5

      I can completely and utterly confirm, a move to a 2nd gen would not be influenced by any recall. If i could, or find a way, to keep my current 2023 and get a 2nd gen, i totally would. Unfortunately i dont have the cash flow that all these other UA-cam fellas have 😁

For a channel owner there’ll be opportunity for more positive vibes than with the new generation, for some time going forward. 👍. IMHO, a good move for Tundra Dude34

    I might be in the minority of viewers, but I feel like a 2nd gen would be a step backwards. You've pretty much done everything that can be done with one. I was looking forward to the TRD exhaust on your 3rd gen and any other mods that may come available - I really appreciated your tow hooks video (hadn't realized they were available). Also, if the recall is extended to your current truck, there would be a lot of potential content as you move through the process. Anyway, thought I would add my 2 cents - I enjoy your videos and will keep tuning in either way!

    Just got myself a 2019 double cab limited trd 4x4 off-road with 48k miles , super nice condition cavalry blue for 34k$ out the door. An upgrade from my 2011 sr5 8th cylinder which crapped out the week prior and I didn’t want a 3rd gen. Remember an important feature missing from 19-21. They removed the transmission oil cooler . A huge bummer if you’re a tower. Tranny can reach temps of 300+ degrees. Keep that in mind. Love the truck other than that

    I'm debating a new 24 TRD Pro versus keeping my 21 wind-chill white midnight edition limited TRD. The $10k price increase is difficult to swallow, but I do love the way the new ones look in PRO trim. When I traded my 2019 TRD Off road in, in 2020 it lasted less than 24 hours in the lot before it was sold. I've had five people try and buy my 21 midnight edition off me already.

    Your decisions are yours and no one should care what you do with your money and going back to a second gen is actually a smart right now because of what’s happened with the new Tundra and the potential headache that will cause to many; and before all good 2nd gen disappear.
    You had one of the best second gen truck period and you were not sorry for buying the new tundra, the way you talked about the new gen, the way you like the new gen, etc, etc and now this?

      Then happy hunting, may you get the best example out there. Can’t wait to see.
      In my case I was not happy with what was going on with the new tundra , it was bothering me.
      I traded my 2023 1794 for a 4 runner a week before their engine recall and mainly my decision was based on other things, but a good % on what’s was going on with it and I am glad I did.
      I soon as I give the 4 runner to my son I will be again hunting for one. I hope Toyota get their things together by then, otherwise second gen will have to do.

    So you are admitting that Toyota has messed up the engine on the third gen Tundra. and you are going to bail too like a lot of others because of the engine failure of the 3rd gen engine problems. Toyota , I hope you are listening. You made a big mistake doing away with the V8 5.7 engine. I am with you brother. I traded my 2024 the day after the recall came out because I knew what was coming. Who wants a new vehicle that has to have engine pulled out and replaced and Toyota really does not really know what the problem is with the engine . Listen to the new video that the Car Care Nut has out now. He is very honest Toyota mechanic.

    Everyone is getting rid of their 3 gen Tundras! Brenner, Mark Tundradude34, and Jon all say it is not because of the recall. I call BS on this!

      I’m not part of the recall. And i will double down. Have the viewers raise some money so i can keep the 3rd gen & have a 2nd gen as well lol.
      If a trade happens, 3rd gen content volume won’t change! How often do we do anything with my 2023? The videos i make all based off of Tundras as a whole. Tundra informational channel

      @@TundraDude34 Ok, cool, I am in a 24, and I am not in the recall either YET! This whole deal is just so disappointing and values are dropping like flies...

      Its a crazy situation, and please know, if someone walked up and was like heres a 24 limited edition 1794…scrap those 2nd gen plans 🤣. Im stupid because i love all Tundras, and when im researching specifics, I fixate on whatever ones im doing. Its a good and a bad thing lol

    I hate this video. I drove a 2012 DC SR5 for years, stupidly traded it in for a Tacoma instead of a 2.5 Gen Tundra. I now have a 2022 Limited Iforce Max which I LOVE. For awhile ive been looking at 2020 and 2021 Tundras, and seeing this isnt helping lol. My wife is not down with it.

    Has nothing to do with the engine recall. Yeah, right. 😂

    New tundra is junk, it’s being returned left and right. All I see is the 3rd gen tundras in the used lots

    Great video! I wanted to ask how many 2nd gen’s are out there. I think now their value is way up. I’m taking my 2020 TRD Tundra Sport for service next week and them sales people will be all over me. Glad I made the appointment for 8am😁
    If I would get a ridiculous offer for it….?? Just can’t let it go…just put in a K&N air filter.lol!

      There are plenty out there. But the smart shopper is looking for the gems. Which are clean 20 and 21s. Be careful at that lot 🤣
