    Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Your skill and vision really make the capability of the pullmax shine. Excellent content including making the dies, most people have no clue how much tooling is required!

      Thank you. I enjoy making the videos because explaining everything helps me understand the process better. Pullmax machines are amazing I don’t know if anyone can ever truly master one.

    This is a great technique you’re using! Love it. Made mine in 3” sections with hand tools, brutal amount of work.

      Thank you. Yeah that sounds brutal . You could use this technique with a bead roller as well. You would have to take your time and go slow with the beading machine

    Great stuff! I watched from end to end without cheating and didn't realize I wanted to learn whatever this was today! Get your thumbnail game up and shoot in 16:9 format and you'll have 5,000 subs pretty quickly!

    • @motleymetals
      @motleymetals  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you very much I’m new to filming and still trying to sort it out. I’ll google 16:9 and see what I can do. Do you have any recommendations on the thumbnail? I didn’t like the old one and figured out how to change it to this one.

    • @RestoringChristine1956
      @RestoringChristine1956 8 місяців тому +1

      @motleymetals4057 I find creating a good thumbnail is as important as the quality of the video. Just pay attention to the thumbnails in your feed to see what draws you in and try to make yours like that. I shoot everything simply with my phone in wide-screen (that's 16:9) and no mics. You don't need fancy equipment. Just a tripod to free your hands sometimes.

    I would gladly come to work in your shop for free just to learn. My shop is much more primitive. I'm currently working on a 32 3 window coupe. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing your skills.

    Excellent stuff! Very interesting to see the dies in action, especially in curving that cab corner. Curious that no allowance is made between the dies for the thickness of the metal. Obviously not necessary but I can't understand why!

    • @motleymetals
      @motleymetals  9 місяців тому

      So with this die most of the allowances can be set up in adjustment on the machine. It’s just a lot easier to build it without then add where needed once you see it set up on the machine. I thought I added in where I curved it then bent I’ll recheck the video.

      I have a little more fine tuning to do. I want to make a wire form so I can dial in the fit more accurately. Keep following and when I make the back of this cab I’ll be ready and confident I’m selling an accurate piece.

      I haven’t quite dialed them in where I’m happy to sell them yet. Once I do I’m gonna try to get ready for Carlisle or Hershey next year and start from there. Thank you for the vote of confidence.
