As a Stevie fan for over 46 years, I can't believe it took me 16 years to find this clip! ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE! "Straight Back" has always been on the top of my list of Stevie's most underrated songs! Thank you for giving it the justice it deserves!
This a real Stevie Nicks, true to heart, crazy hell song that she's known for. Intricate lyrics, a haunting melody and a ripping, rough but beautiful vocal. Stevie and Christine were clearly able to wrap their voices around each others perfectly. Definitley one of my favorite songs.
Happy 66th Birthday to Stevie Nicks! Gorgeous woman and a brilliant songwriter; I never appreciated this song when I first heard it. But revisiting it now, it really is beautiful.
I never get tired of that combination of Stevie and Christine singing together, regardless who is lead and background. They are hand and glove when they sing. I wish they could do a song with them just singing or even an album with Lori Perry and Sharon Celani.
A friend of mine recorded this for me in the late 80s and I played it to death. The last images on this video combine to make a skull-like image - creepy but somehow fitting. In concert, her darker side reached out and transfixed thousands at once; it was downright frightening to feel and witness. But man, could she ever rock! The eternal temptress.
rock a little woo this is one of my all time best tunes i love stevie ssssssooooooooo much and ya she is better than any of the wanabes lol there is magic out there x
yes there are two versions to this awesome song. nicks wanted more vocals on the album but because of the limited time they would not let her add more vocals on the vinyl. so if you have the differnt version hang on to it. because it will be worth some value....
Actually... it is pretty good for what it is... no insult intended... I just wish there had been a real video for Straight Back.... it is a VERY GOOD SONG!!!!!!!!!
Hi Brad! To me at 0:51 it looks like the scene changes, so If i am correct, where Stevie is lit in Blue, on stage live, That is Stevie with Fleetwood Mac, performing "Sisters Of The Moon" From the video "Fleetwood Mac Mirage Tour 1982. Just before that, where Stevie is fanning herself, That is Stevie's episode of VH1 Storytellers. I cant tell what song they just finished, but that is the VH1 Storytellers for sure. :)
This song played in my head as she did Lighthouse on SNL last night. Her performance was amazing
...truly the best part of the SNL show
Bravo!! So beautifully done!! Forever been a fan, its 2024 and this is still one of Stevie Nicks best❤🎶

Beautiful job! I always felt that 'Straight Back' was an under-rated song. She is so incredibly beautiful. Thanks.
Yes! I'm blown away just how good this song sounds!

Intertwined like a thread of spoken gold. God Bless Christine. Rest in peace sweet soul.
I agree.. I love the under lyrics " and hours of waiting for you."..ect.. Christies awsome piano notes, Micks hard drum beats...
Christine did a lot of experimental keyboard work on a lot of Stevie's songs. The stuff she did at the end of "Crystal" was absolutely amazing!
A beautiful song! A song i never knew existed until now! How did this song not become a number one hit!

The female vocal duo Stevie/Christine, the best in the Rock Story (sorry Ann and Nancy Wilson) and Straight Back is their masterpiece.
Always loved this song. It's #63 on Rolling Stone's best Stevie songs for her 66th birthday!
Only #63?. This is the most underrated song of FM and the Rolling Stone Magazine.
One of FM/ Stevie Nicks songs. Bought the mirage record Christmas 1982.
Well said. This is one of the best Mac songs ever but does highlight the best of classic Nicks in style and writing. The music is classic Mac too.
I love this song! And this video is cool, thanx for it. Shots from Sisters of the Moon from Mirage Video are great :-).

Shockingly, I just discovered this song. I love it, as I do the brilliant and stunning Stevie herself.
Wow... great job here. This is my favorite FM/Nicks song. I love the sound of Christine singing back up combined with Stevie's voice... amazing!
Stevie and Christine = perfection.
Love Stevie and this song ....all of her music is Awesome.

Playing this on my ipod lately, love it! Stevie is awesome!
Love ❤
Cool. 'Mirage' Stevie is the best Stevie.
Listen to the John McVie bass and Mick Fleetwood Drums...the Lindsey with the ending solo
there are 2 versions of the song...the vinyl was a different version
This is Fleetwood Mac. Just so we are clear.
I beleive it is from the Stevie Nicks LIVE concert from several years ago.
I sometimes wish video clips were non existent.
