"Trouble in Shangri-La" is underrated. I loved the mix of new tracks with older ones like "Candlebright" and "Sorcerer." My fantasy Stevie album would include this song, "Joan of Arc," "Julia," and some newer stuff. Her darker songs are usually her best...
I remember listening to this song during a very difficult period in my life, thinking to myself hoping I would get out of this struggle of depression and anxiety and it’s been 12 years later a lot has changed but the depression remains. No matter how much it has changed I remember the struggle like a season that comes back every year to remind me to appreciate my life and the ones around me but I’m alone now. So I sit and listen to my favorite Stevie songs remembering how it was and sometimes wishing I had those feelings again of the ones who are no longer here.
I agree!! I love the goatliness to her voice! If you notice she has always had that flowiness in her voice!! It's one of the things that makes her voice distinctive! I think it's BEAUTIFUL!
Still my favorite unreleased song of Stevies' all time. I absolutely love the rawness of a beautiful bootleg song. I think the haunting bark in the background is my HALSEY calling me to join him. In time my dear friend.....in time.
I think she is on solid ground. Always has been. A lot of variety in her lifestyle. It seems she has come though this very well. I love Stevie Nicks. The music she offers is unparalleled. A truly Rock & Roll Superstar. I love Stevie. God Bless!!
Really beautiful song, and a beautiful image montage to accompany it. It's great that you've come across these demos. She should really release this one just as it is.
the thing with Stevie, that any REAL Stevie fan would know, is that it's not just her voice...there is so much about her...her voice is perfect, now and then! Anybody got anything to say about it? Lets hear you sing !!!!
i love her voice it dose change with age but dosent everyones? i like this voice because she sounds like country rock i love the smokeyness of it and i love the intensity of her younger voice but she sounds wiser now
stevie glen said about secret love that you were a nugget for storing that song in the vault. Well this song is another one of those song that are holding too. Let it go on this new project it will be a hit. This is vintage stevie at her best omg this vocal this reminds me why I fell in love with you 35 years ago
Ah, here I come again, the track always seems to hang over my headspace, as if it was a skeleton and my darkest moments a closet my mind sometimes leaves slightly ajar
Stevie love you,my inspiration. I am so proud my family is from Phoenix. I saw Saddleback mountain in paradise valley. Coming from Canada 🇨🇦 l could not believe you maybe just over there wow.
great video! love the lyrics. I would love to hear one of Stevie,s commentaries on this song. bet there,s a great story to how she came to write this. 💙🌙
This is a Demo Recorded for Trouble In Shangri-la. I have the Demo Reels for the album and it was meant for it, just didnt make the cut. I liked the Demo for Sorceror more than the one they chose. Anywho, it is from Trouble In Shangri-La
So gorgeous... Then again I've never heard a Nicks song I didn't like. :) Do you suppose that these demos will someday see record release? She wouldn't even have to back them up with touring at this point... I'm pretty sure we'd all buy the album right off the bat.
I've heard this song before, but great job... and thanks. The images were especially great, you did a terrific job. Really really good. I normally can't get through one of these types of videos, but Stevie's song and your images drew me in and kept me.
I love when she put these words in the song of Eric burdons the animals classic! We gotta get out of this place,if this is the last thing will ever do!
That strident sound shows up when Stevie sings against amplified instruments and vanishes when she sings with mellow ones, as in this demo. If she wants to sing stunningly in her later years, she should consider a studying with a vocal coach qualified in voice building (NOTHING like "singing lessons"). Josh Groban's is a perfect example of a built voice:powerful with no straining. Most adult singers of any age can learn, and their singing becomes considerably easier and more fun.
This song makes me think she might be referring to 9/11. At least this is what her lyrics make me think of. America has changed to such a "darkness" now, since 9/11. Also I can see where some might think it's about her drug addictions in the past also. Hauntingly beautiful Stevie!
I hate it that people are so insecure they feel the need to be keyboard warriors and call Stevie Nicks "a goat". How would you like it if people called you names like that, guys? Honestly....she's sober and has been since 1986. Let's not go into the whole Klonopin debacle and the celebrity-hanger-on psychiatrist but.....
Hahaha I never understood why South Park parodied her as a goat because I was thinking "man she's pretty, idk what they're talking about." 0:50 is what they were talking about...
Yes this and NOMAD aka CANDLEBRIGHT are better left in their mystic raw image. Whenever legendary demo songs are "cleaned up" & made "legal" ...they usually suck.
+toni harmon Refering to this particular song, Toni. Trust me when I tell you I've been with Fleetwood Mac since the early 70s. Classic rock radio has abused Rhiannon for decades.... And on this song she is one dimensional and boring.
how much do you really expect out of a woman who's probably 52 at the time of the woman, and did sooooo much cocaine? that stuff is supposed to destroy a voice. besides she's much better live
All songs by Stevie Nicks are haunting, enchanting and pure magical with her divine voice. She´s one of a kind*
Couldn't agree more. This song is very dark though, there isn't that "way out" or hopeful path anywhere which Stevie Nicks often provides.🖤👑🌙⭐
i just hit 35 loved her as a baby damn rite one of a kind no other female will top her
Standing at the cross roads this is now” WOW! Read those dark lyrics internet,

joan of arc and mirror mirror are my favs

Love me, some Stevie and vocals, so haunting☮️💟🎶🐇

This song moves me deeply. I have been listening to it over and over and over. "This is now...this is now...this now".
I really wish she would release this...she has so many hidden gems...wish I could hear them all!
l agree with you totally, voice of an angel......Best singer of all time.....
The bob Dylan of women..A remarkable artist that stood the test of time.
Rock on our ancient queen
The Greatest Of All Time
I like this song, it has a lot of meaning to me. ❤
Great photos and a lovely song! Brings poetry to my heart! Hope to see her solo tour!❣

You have so many beautiful Stevie photos!

This song is so haunting. Addiction is scary and this song encapsulates the feeling of loss and pain that comes with it.
My lost of enchantment was the first time True Love broke my heart,R.I.P DAVID....
I'm so sorry. Love always hurts. The most important thing is that you learn from your mistakes and don't let it happen again
Love this demo so much!!!! Never heard it before....ty for sharing :)

I love this song
this song haunts me...
you too...It's like our minds are her houses to haunt. It's wonderfully melancholic
Ah, here I come again, the track always seems to hang over my headspace, as if it was a skeleton and my darkest moments a closet my mind sometimes leaves slightly ajar
You Stevie, are Ultra-Beautiful....and you always will be.
Stevie love you,my inspiration. I am so proud my family is from Phoenix. I saw Saddleback mountain in paradise valley. Coming from Canada 🇨🇦 l could not believe you maybe just over there wow.
Hot Dayum this is a fantastic song!

😁
wonderful!
Hey! Queen of my heart ! Plus vintage style! Voice of a Godess white Wing Dove…❤🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🇬🇧🌹🌹🌹🌹Never a bad photo of my Bella!
you're the best
She takes some aweswome pics..
Cool. Like this.
Raw, powerful, emotional. Like the acoustics. So much better than electronic Stevie of the 80s.
So gorgeous... Then again I've never heard a Nicks song I didn't like. :) Do you suppose that these demos will someday see record release? She wouldn't even have to back them up with touring at this point... I'm pretty sure we'd all buy the album right off the bat.
Awesome song,no doubt,listen and learn
Wonderful Stevie. I think it was recorded around 2012 - 2014.
Thanks!
I've heard this song before, but great job... and thanks. The images were especially great, you did a terrific job. Really really good. I normally can't get through one of these types of videos, but Stevie's song and your images drew me in and kept me.
Me too! Please count me in!
i hope this is on her new album!!!!
and I hope it goes on the album unchanged
they got the goat from south park, but everyone knows she is her own uniqie self...the queen of rock n roll
......... it's.... Stevie....❣️
getting older is... interesting...
❤️❤️❤️
I love when she put these words in the song of Eric burdons the animals classic!
We gotta get out of this place,if this is the last thing will ever do!

Can someone send me this... I love Space Needle!!!!

Barbara Roberts the song was written and recorded before 9/11. Its about drug abuse and early death among rock starts i.e. J Joplin and Kurt Cobain
I live this song. I lost my lover to death and watched him dying. This song is very special to me. The feelings she conveys is me today.
she looks hotter now than she did 20 years ago
Hahaha I never understood why South Park parodied her as a goat because I was thinking "man she's pretty, idk what they're talking about."
0:50 is what they were talking about...
Yes this and NOMAD aka CANDLEBRIGHT are better left in their mystic raw image. Whenever legendary demo songs are "cleaned up" & made "legal" ...they usually suck.
Is this about the Space Needle? I live in WA and the space needle is in Seattle, WA. THAT WOULD BE SO COOL :)
Dave Stewart would have a FIELD DAY with this song - maybe he can put Stevie back in her "spooky" place through this!!
Specifically it's about heroin and what she saw it doing to people around her.
Is there a download for this AWESOME demo... please ?
So does Mick at 3:33.
They should, its about her drug use in the late 80', and her stint in rehab
Love this song, but it definitely would need to be edited to go on a record!
Where did you get this demo?
bahhh, baahhh goes the goat
Queen of Rock since the 70s. She is baaaaaahhhhiiinnnngggg all the way to the bank. One of the best and most unique voices ever!!
Love her voice, not her limited vocal range.
+cbh440 if you think she has a limited vocal range, check out her rhiannon 1976 version. it might just change your mind.
+toni harmon Refering to this particular song, Toni. Trust me when I tell you I've been with Fleetwood Mac since the early 70s.

I like the sound of her voice fuck vocal range,if you want technically good singing listen to Beyonce or something
Boring? Listen to the words. The words matter.
Oh God!!! here is another brainwashed southpark drone in his little southpark world
Stevie nick a good singer
But she have to get out of
