I could just be a sucker for cheap/affordable paint jobs, but I’m loving the rust oleum with 2k clear videos. Keep up the great work and I appreciate you sharing with all of us.
What you are doing is invaluable! Before painting my car im just hella curious how different colors will combine to get something original that you dont see everyday, and finding your channel and your in depth tutorials is essential game that Im thankful for!!! You the man!! 🙏
@a.r.lasvegas23 I really appreciate it! I'm almost done painting my car using pigments and some techniques I have learned, and best of all.I'm doing it on a budget to where anyone can do it! The video should be out in a few days 🙏 I haven't shared any shorts or pictures on my community post (just to keep the surprise) , but it's a wild one for sure
This is giving me ideas... I'm really thinking that my "truck of many colors" is going to end up sprayed black or dark grey and then a red pearl coat and clear coat. Partially for the practice, and partially to just make it one color! Thank you for sharing all these experiments with the viewers out here!
The color looks awesome! And i like the way that you broke down the mix ratio.. "every 30ml is 1 part". Thanks!! 😎🙏🏾 I'll use this knowledge from this point on.
Awesome work, man. I have been experimenting with spray can candies and pearls. I'd like to get a spray gun and try, and this gives me confidence i could do it.
Do a over black and white series. Like the difference of same pearl over light or dark base. Know there are plenty of videos out but these experiments are coming out great!
I'll try that out! To my knowledge, on the black base, the more you add, the more you'll see the pearl color.. While on the white base, it's all about having just a subtle change in it.
I used to do autobody and paint years ago I am very rusty . I used to be able to do metal finish but I am sure I cant do that anymore but I really enjoy your videos you mix up paint out of the blue and trial and error you cant f it up because its just an old fender keep up the good work .
I really like the dark purple, but the way the light purple (Cherry) shows through the true navy as you move over the other finder.. is a really nice effect.
Control coats are done as the last coat BEFORE the clear. You essentially turned that clear into a single stage. The purple looked nice and test panels are always great
More thinking out loud- I was going to paint my race car a mixture of quart Rusto colors (I done some experimenting with mixing my own colors, and I have a couple of videos of painting a minibike frame with mixed Rustoleum), but the car was going to get a clear over it... Now you have me wondering if that's a bad idea over a gloss base and more so, why the gloss base doesn't work as well...
I was curious what coltbolt blue base paint and purple pearl clear coat would look. I was going to do that with the Firebird 87' I loaned to a friend. Yes, it was a big mistake, but one day, I will get the car I originally wanted. 78'-80' Firebird. I despise the headlights to flip. Just my opinion.
Hey George, just popping in on this one too... Have you figured out why it doesn't work as well with a gloss base as it does with a mat base? It seems counterintuitive that the gloss would make the finished product less glossy. Have you tried this over quart rustoleum sprayed with a gun? Would the gloss vs flat thing hold up with that also? Now you see what you've done? Now I have 2 or 3 (2-1/2?) things I want to see: - I still want to see the back pearl sprayed over the mat navy - blue green (or maybe blue with a smaller amount of green mixed in) pearl over flat quart sprayed with a gun and the same pearl sprayed over gloss quart Rustoleum. You have me thinking about multiple projects now also. I'm wondering if this is reproducible enough that if you painted a car like this that you could repaint/touch up a pannel if it got damaged?
I paint a lot of stuff with rustolium rattle cans here lately small boxes and things and I've discovered many of them are starting to malfunction brand new first time use more than they ever did before the past
Have you seen how the Besney holds up to UV long term? Typically I find quick fading with cheaper paint but curious how this may hold up when compared to a finish1 Fc720 and such.
Great video man I appreciate everything you do with budget paint jobs I’m try to paint my motorcycle Rust-Oleum gloss red but want to add a pearl to so if there’s any way you could do a red base coat with red pearl on it and thanks again glad to see you making videos again.
would a light blue or gunmetal gray over black look good? I have two cars to paint and Iike the colors of them both but I often wonder what they'd look like with a dark tint and your method seems to give the effect that I'm seeking
Have you ever done anything with Rust-Oleum safety orange? Maybe a yellow pearl if that exists? I like your work and now you got me thinking about trying to paint my next stock car like this.
Hey GT, g'day from Australia - I only just found your vids and am loving them! That dark purple is so sleek, very nice. ...if you are ever looking for colours to paint I'm thinking about doing my car in Namari silver but can't find an example on the net so I'd definitely be grateful seeing that over a black base. Speaking of which - do you recommend gloss or matt black for these pigments?
What size compressor are you using? Also this clear I'm not familiar with, but is it ok to reduce it? Sometimes the shine isn't too good after you reduce the clear. And not every clear can be reduced or should be! I noticed that the shine isn't too good after you sprayed it! Only asking, nothing else! Thanks!👍
I could just be a sucker for cheap/affordable paint jobs, but I’m loving the rust oleum with 2k clear videos. Keep up the great work and I appreciate you sharing with all of us.
I really like the purple over the black!

That purple/black combo looks great!
Thanks for the clear and pearl links! Love the content, keep experimenting!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I like that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get an awesome paint job.
Absolutely! With everything being so expensive nowadays, gotta find the best deals to keep it on a budget! 🙌

The purple over black is beautiful!
I would have not guessed the matte color works better with the clear coat. Thanks for all the work 💪🏼
This one is what I love. Black Rustoleum and Dark Purple on a scale of 1-10 it is a full 10!! The seamist with purple was my number 2 in these three
I really like the Dark Purple over Black! Nice color! Thanks!
Dark purple looks great.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels thanks for all the tutorials and tests
Why do I want all of my life painted just like that. So pretty. ❤

Purple over black is a winner!
Purple over the matte black looks good.
I think I'm going to do something similar on my mini yota, but the base will be a fine texture black raptor with a purple clear. Looks great man!
Thanks gor sharing your tips and tricks.
I would love to see that dark purple pearl over a white base!! Would be a good comparison
That looks great!!!
Blue Pearl over Back looks the best for me & Purple Pearl over Black comes 2nd
That purple over matte is amazing. Great vid.
Control coats are done as the last coat BEFORE the clear. You essentially turned that clear into a single stage. The purple looked nice and test panels are always great
Killer! …I want a drum set in this exact color!!!
Awesome color
Definitely the Dark Purple over Black.

Reminds me of my old friends 85 Iroc, purple pearl over black
Really enjoying these videos

Purple over black 🔥
Awesome tips. Eres el mejor Gracias
I paint a lot of stuff with rustolium rattle cans here lately small boxes and things and I've discovered many of them are starting to malfunction brand new first time use more than they ever did before the past
I would like to see some flat clear with pearls over rustoleum 😎
Bro that dark purple over the blk looks really good
Have you seen how the Besney holds up to UV long term? Typically I find quick fading with cheaper paint but curious how this may hold up when compared to a finish1 Fc720 and such.
Great job thank you for sharing this all three are killer
Great video man I appreciate everything you do with budget paint jobs I’m try to paint my motorcycle Rust-Oleum gloss red but want to add a pearl to so if there’s any way you could do a red base coat with red pearl on it and thanks again glad to see you making videos again.
Thanks, bro!
I'll see what red pearls I have, but absolutely 💯
Amazing results. You make it look easy. How about green pearl over silver?
Definitely! I'll check it out 🙌
I’ve been using rustoleum with 2k clear for many years now. The ultra matte cans always seem to have a hard time spraying, they splatter a lot
Purple over black FTW
would a light blue or gunmetal gray over black look good? I have two cars to paint and Iike the colors of them both but I often wonder what they'd look like with a dark tint and your method seems to give the effect that I'm seeking
Came out awesome!
I like the purple over black
It looks great really. But how long does the paint job last? Your undercoat is rattle can which isn't that durable and has no UV protection?
Nice color I like it
Have you ever done anything with Rust-Oleum safety orange? Maybe a yellow pearl if that exists? I like your work and now you got me thinking about trying to paint my next stock car like this.
I would like to know if you’ve added reducer to the besney clear. Mine is a little thick.
I like the purple over black. Could you do a white fender with a blue pearl?
Hey GT, g'day from Australia - I only just found your vids and am loving them! That dark purple is so sleek, very nice.

I would love to see a teal ghost pearl over white base coat. Thinking about that for my 66 ford galaxy

And not every clear can be reduced or should be! I noticed that the shine isn't too good after you sprayed it! Only asking, nothing else! Thanks!👍
Would you demo a florescent red colour over a white base. I want to use this colour on motorcycle wheels. Thanks
Like dark purple
Will the sun mess this pearl up? Or change it color over time.
